This time, I am wearing black shorts, a white tank top, a black hoodie, black sneakers, and some shades. In my bag I have the rest of my money, my notebook, 5 gatorades, my laptop, my 2 towels, my bathing suit, my back up clothes, and the full blow-up mattress. When I walk out to the boys, I hear Felix say, "Alright let's vote. Andy's solution?"

Andy, Jake, and Sam raise their hands.

Felix: "Sam." He whines.

Sam: "Sorry dude, it kinda makes sense."

Ember: "What were you guys voting on? Don't we have to get to Phoebe's?"

Andy: "Not anymore. We are going on the excursion to see if we can find the wormhole again."

Ember: "Wow really Sam. You were the one who made that promise to Phoebe."

Sam: "Yeah, but this solution makes more sense."

Ember: "I would've voted for Felix's solution."

Felix: "Thanks Ember."

Jake: "Are you two sure there is nothing going on between you?"

Ember & Felix: "Yes."

Jake: "Alright, let's go wormhole hunting."

Ember: "At least I don't have to wear that hideous dress." I mumble.

Then we walk to school together. When we get there,

Felix: "Phoebe's gonna be really angry with us."

Ember: "We'll just blame Sam."

Andy: "Phoebe, we need her signature."

Felix takes the papers and signs all of them. We see Jake's mom pull up with Mr Bates and the 2 kiss. Andy, Sam, Felix, and I groan in disgust. Then I cover my eyes as they do it again and hear the boys groan again.

Jake: "I'll never get use to that."

Ember: "I'm trying not to throw up poptarts."

I put my headphones in and listen to music as I just stay beside Felix. Andy hands our permission slips to Mr. Bates and we get on the bus where, once again, I sit alone. Then Madison sits next to me and I take out one of my earphones.

Madison: "Hey Ember."

Ember: "Hi Madison. Sorry about not introducing you yesterday."

Madison: "That's okay. I didn't stay at the school to meet Andy after all of those savage dogs appeared. By the way, what is Felix like? He's got this cool, mysterious kind of vibe going on."

Ember: "He already has a girlfriend. It's a long distance relationship."

Madison: "Oh, okay. I would never take someone's boyfriend. Sean seemed disappointed yesterday. He said something about not being able to date you and that you were trying to get over an ex. Can I help you in any way with that?"

Ember: "Not really. My ex was only using me to get close to my sister, so now I don't really trust people too easily. I've built up a wall against all boys, well except for my cousins."

Madison: "That's just terrible. How come I haven't met your sister?"

Ember: "She died, 2 years ago."

Madison: "I'm so sorry. You can come over to my place and I will treat you like my sister. We can have sleepovers and go shopping together or whatever you want to do."

Ember: "Thanks, Madison. Maybe I'll take you up on that offer sometime."

Then she whispers in my ear.

Madison: "I think you have a crush on your cousin and just haven't realized it or you are in denial of it."

I blush and then someone taps my shoulder and I turn around to see Felix.

Felix: "I need to talk to you later."

Ember: "Okay."

When we get off the bus, Madison won't stop gossiping to me. Once Mr Bates starts talking, I finally get the chance to ditch her and join the boys.

Andy: "Go run!"

The 5 of us take off running through the trail and laugh the entire way.

Andy: "Awesome."

Sam: "Did you see the look on Bates' face?"

Felix: "I remember this place. Oh yeah, this is where Jake emptied out your backpack."

Jake: "Yeah, I was a bonehead back then and I officially want to say I'm sorry, Andy and Felix."

Sam: "I was a bonehead too. Less than him though."

Andy: "We've all changed. I was a nerd, but no longer."

Ember: "Nah, you're still a nerd, just a cooler one now."

They all laugh.

Ember: "I avoided everyone and never had any real friends. I'm glad I was actually able to use my money to help you guys and you weren't just using me."

We all smile at each other and then Andy sees the storm. They talk about their families here and at our home. I can't decide which one I prefer. Andy starts doing squats to psych himself up to fall down the cliff again, but Sam just puts an arm around his shoulder and falls with him. Felix's talisman glows and he says, "We can't be separated." Then puts one arm around Jake and one around me and we go tumbling down, where I end up landing on Felix.

I get off of him quickly and blush slightly because of what Madison said on the bus. I start walking away, the way we went last time and they run to me. From there we just walk around. We find some sort of jewelry and Felix says, "You are going to be so embarrassed when I prove magic is real."

Andy: "Am not."

Sam: "Eyes on the prize, guys. Eyes on the prize. Come on."

We walk on further and then stop.

Jake: "This place looks really familiar."

Sam: "Yeah, I remember it too."

Jake: "Isn't that where we-"

Andy: "Spent the night, yeah."

Sam: "Come on, let's go."

Sam starts running and we run after him. Sam and Jake fall and get covered with a net and then Felix falls on top of them.

Ember: "Well I don't remember that happening."

Andy: "Are you okay?"

Sam: "Felix, Andy, Ember, get us out of here."

Felix: "Guys, the talisman, I dropped it."

Ember: "I'll help them, Felix find the talisman, Andy help me."

Roland appears and starts helping Andy and I get Jake and Sam out of his trap, but Andy and I are thrown back as he starts spazzing out.

Ember: "Oh dear god."

Andy: "Roland are you alright?"

Ember: "Demon attack."

I start trying to distract the demon Roland from the boys. As he is about to bash Jake &/or Sam's heads, I grab onto his neck and then he flings me off, by throwing me against a tree. I scream from the pain. As my aching head looks up, I see a blurry image of Sam and Jake, dodging a tree. As Roland goes over to Felix, I try to stand, but fall over immediately.

Ember: "Felix!"

Then I pass out from all of it. I wake up to someone shaking my shoulder and a voice saying my name.

?: "Ember, wake up. Come on."

??: "Is she okay?"

???: "She was thrown halfway up into a tree and then fell to the ground, I don't think so."

?: "Please wake up."

Ember: "Ugh, my head hurts. Did everyone live?"

I open my eyes and see all of them.

Jake: "Yeah, we all worked together to survive this time."

Ember: "Good. Someone hand me my bag."

Andy: "Here you go."

Andy hands me my bag and I take out a yellow gatorade. I start drinking it and my headache is almost completely gone now.

Felix: "How do you feel?"

Ember: "I feel fine, a little dizzy and my back hurts, but I'm okay. There is a gatorade for each of you in the bag, if you want one."

I stay seated and they start arguing about how to get home. Sam is the only one who wants to wait for the wormhole. They decide to stay with Sam, because he won't move and they look at me to see if I'll stay.

Ember: "I can't really move without help right now, so I have to stay with you guys."

Then there's a noise.

Sam: "What was that?"

Felix: "Is the demon back?"

Jake: "Worse, it's Bates."

Roland and Bates come out of the woods.

Mr Bates: "Just what do you think you're doing?"

Ember: "Getting seriously injured." I mumble.

Sam: "Man no."

Andy: "Roland, what a traitor."

Roland: "You got my monanala, I need it."

Andy hands Roland his bashing stick.

Mr Bates: "You kids are in very serious trouble. You've ruined the excursion for everyone. I have exhausted students on the bus back there, while you sit here and do what? Make camp?"

Sam: "Just leave us here."

Mr Bates: "Well that's not gonna happen. On your feet now."

The boys stand up while I just stay leaned against the log.

Ember: "I can't move."

Mr Bates tries to move to me to help me up, but Felix beats him to it. Once I am standing, I fall against Felix, but he catches me and he and Jake each put one of my arms around their shoulders.

Mr Bates: "What happened to you?"

Ember: "I twisted my ankle."

Felix: "She'll be fine."

Jake: "This happens a lot."

We then walk to the bus. Everyone is booing us on the bus as Mr Bates says, "I want to see the 5 of you tomorrow morning before class." Felix helps me sit down and then he slides in next to me.

Trent throws some type of fruit against unicorn boy's head and Jake stands up for him. Once we get back to school, Felix helps me off the bus and the 5 of us head off to the shack.

Sam: "Hey, I'll carry Ember. It was my idea to stay afterall."

Felix nods silently and Sam carries me bridal style. During the walk, Andy and Felix are talking about magic. Felix shushes Andy and stops. We see the cop car and run to some trees, well they run, I'm carried. The cops are looking for us and as they call out for us, Jake takes me from Sam while saying, "Sam, take her bag. I'm stronger and faster, so I'll take Ember."

Sam: "Okay."

Sam takes my bag and they all follow Felix. We end up at Phoebe's house and Felix knocks on the door while calling her name. She finally opens the door.

Phoebe: "Do you know what time it is?"

Felix: "We need your help."

Phoebe: "You were suppose to be here before school, remember, we had a deal."

Ember: "That's what I said."

Andy: "We went on an excursion."

Jake: "We got lost again."

Felix: "And the demon possessed Roland and tried to kill us."

Andy: "I saw magic actually happen."

Phoebe: "Okay slow it down."

She opens the door wider and gestures us in.

Phoebe: "Explain yourselves."

Jake walks in with me first, and when we get to the back room, he puts me on a chair. Sam comes in and hands me my bag.

Phoebe: "What happened to you, Ember?"

Ember: "I jumped on demon Roland's back and he threw me through the air and into a tree, where I then fell to the ground. I ended up passing out and when I came to, Roland was gone. I must have twisted my ankle or something, because when I try to walk, I fall over."

Felix: "He was strong enough to lift me off my feet and throw me-"

Andy: "But I defeated the demon-"

Jake: "With the magic charm."

Andy: "And courage."

Phoebe: "So instead of sticking to our deal, you went looking for your own way home. Thanks."

Ember: "I advised them against it, but they didn't listen."

Andy: "We had to take the chance."

Sam: "It was an epic fail on all fronts."

Phoebe: "So now you want me to help you?"

Andy: "Yes."

Phoebe: "You boys really have a nerve."

Sam: "I told you this was pointless."

Phoebe: "You're right, I can't trust you. Deal's off."

Sam: "Come on, we're wasting our time."

Felix reaches into his bag and pulls that bracelet thing out.

Felix: "Do you recognize this?"

Phoebe: "They are used for conjurations."

Felix: "Did it belong to Alice?"

Phoebe: "Where did you find that?"

Felix: "The Bremin forest."

Phoebe: "But the police looked there and so did I."

Felix: "It's a hidden path."

Andy: "You had to fall off a cliff to get there, literally."

Felix: "There was another sign of Alice as well."

Phoebe: "What?"

Felix: "An altar."

Jake: "It was in the same place where we got lost."

Phoebe: "There's a connection between you and her."

Felix: "Will you help us?"

Phoebe: "I'll let you know in the morning."

Felix drops his arms from disappointment.

Phoebe: "What, you think this face needs anything less than 8 hours? Bye bye, back to your shack."

They look at each other.

Phoebe: "What now?"

Felix: "Um, you know when we said we need help?"

Felix tells her what happened and then Phoebe gets pillows and blankets for us and drops them on the ground.

Phoebe: "I don't do maternal and I don't do breakfast."

Felix: "I think we get that."

They each grab a pillow and a blanket and Felix throws one of each to me. Phoebe brought some gauze for me and I wrapped my heel and ankle with it, so now it doesn't hurt too much to walk. I go to sleep on the chair while Jake tries to cheer up Sam.
