I still kept my head down but he kneeled down to me and sat next to me and I flinched "do you talk" I kept quiet and turned away and I heard him get up and I took the chance of looking up and he smiled down at me "will you tell me your name now" I nod and he gave me a hand but I got up by myself and I saw he looked confused and I frowned "i'm sorry i'm just not comfortable around other people" he nodded "oh and my names Y/N" he smiled "do you want me to walk you to your locker just in case". I gave him a small smile at the kindness "it would be very nice" he nodded and he held out his arms as of signaling me to go first and I giggled lightly "well lead the way" I started walking and he followed next to me.
When we made it to the hallway where my locker was he finally broke the silence "can I ask you something" I look over at him and we reach my locker and I shrug while getting my books knowing that we have probably missed most of homeroom by now. "We didn't you at least try to defend yourself, or at least scream for help" I looked up at him and he frowned "do you ever smile or keep your head up" I looked back down and shook my head no and heard him sigh.
Once I was done getting everything I need for the day I closed my locker and looked up but back down "you wanna walk to class" I nodded slowly and we started walking "what's your first class" I got my schedule out and handed it to him and he looked over it. While he was carefully looking over it I looked at him and got a good look and he seemed like the type that would be really popular, by his looks alone 'so why is he helping me'.
I saw him about to turn back to me so I put my head back down and he handed me my schedule back "well it looks like we do have most of our classes together, but how come I never seen you around or in the classes".
I make a confused face at the ground but answer anyway "because I try and avoid crowds" I could feel his gaze on me "but why hide" I don't answer and we get to our first class and once I walk in either there's snickers or nobody notices i'm here and I sit in the very back to not draw attention to myself. I set out all my things and I look around the class, I may be quiet and insecure but I am very observant and I look over at Tim and he looks back at me and smiles but I look back down not wanting everyone to notice. Then I heard the door open and the teacher came in and got started with class, which went by pretty quickly.

When the bell rang everybody piled out for lunch and once everyone left I finally got up and made my way to the door and I looked both ways before just walking out and it was clear so I walked out of the doorway and around the corner only to run into someone and I looked up a bit to see Tim but looked back down and started walking away but then I heard him close his locker and felt his presence walking next to me.
I kept walking to my locker to get the lunch I packed for myself last night and when I got it off the top shelf I closed my locker only to turn and see Tim "why did you walk past me like you don't know me" I look up fully and his eyes widen and he smiles but I put my head back down "because it is not wise to hang out around me".
I began my short walk to the cafeteria where the have a small circle table in the corner unlike all other huge rectangle tables. I was outside the door and made sure no one could see me or Tim and I faced him but messed with the end of my shirt and looked down at my feet like usal "can you tell me why it's not wise" I shake my head yes "because you seem like you have a chance at friends and you can't have that it you hang around me".
She shook her head yes and answered "because you seem like you have a chance at friends and you can't have that it you hang around me", I look at her confused "but I want to get to know more about you, I want to be friends with you". She looks away and walks into the cafeteria and I leaned against the wall and sighed 'when she looked up at me fully I was in shock, she was beautiful and I want to get to know her, but I still wonder why she is like this'.
Once I sat down at my table no one noticed me like usual so I started eating but then I heard everyone gasp and whisper so I looked up to see Tim and he sat next to me and I looked up at him shocked everyone turned back to there conversation but probably spreading gossip.
I stopped eating and looked up at him and he smiled "what are you doing" he looked confused "what do you mean" I sigh "did you not here what I said outside" he nodded "I did, but am choosing to ignore it because I meant what I said about getting to know you" I looked away and blushed slightly and smiled. I still hear people whispering so I looked over slightly but looked back down in embarrassment and heard Tim laugh a little "don't pay attention to them, I could never have a real friendship with them there all gossipers" I giggle.

"So do you want to be friends" I nod and we both went back to eating and we enjoyed launched and talked a little but he knows that i'm not much of a talker. When we were done we had our next class but they were different so he walked me to mine and I smiled up at him and he smiled "thank you Tim" I then left him and walked in the class not seeing him still frozen there.
It was finally the end of the school day and I packed up my backpack and went to the library and pulled out my homework and did all the work and questions, it wasn't really hard, it never has been hard for me but I still did some studying every once and a while. I was packing up to leave to head home because everything was done, once I walked out of the school I saw a black limo and saw Tim leaning on it talking with an older guy who looked like him but they got in but didn't pull off so I shrugged.
I started to make my way to the public library and on my way I heard a car on my side and saw it was the same limo and the window rolled down and revealed Tim and I smiled. The car was moving at my pace "do you need a ride" I giggle "i'm good i'm heading straight home after my little journey to the library" he smirked slightly and chuckled "ok, i'll see you at school tomorrow Y/N" I nod and he rolls the window up and the limo turns around and drives in the other direction.
I smile at his kind offer and kept walking, I finally made it to the library and went to the front desk where my sister was and she smiled when she saw me "hi little sis".
I smiled back "hi" she sighed and nodded her head towards the shelves "I suppose you came here for your usual" I nod and she giggled "well go ahead" and I ran off and went to my favorite section and looked around but i've read all of them so I went to Shakespeare and smiled and picked out 'Romeo and Juliet' and went to the classics and found one of my favorite books 'The Secret Garden'.
I went back to my sister with those two and she checked them out on my card and locked up the library for her lunch and we went home. Once we pulled up to our apartment I got out of her car and closed the door and she waved "i'll be back after work" I nod and she pulled off and back to work so I went upstairs and started reading those books.
When me, Dick and Alfred got back to the manor Alfred went to go and prepare dinner so I went up to my room and to started to work on homework but my door opened and I looked to see Dick with a smirk on his face so I looked at him confused "what's wrong" he shook his head "nothing but can you tell me who the girl was" I realized he was talking about Y/N and I smiled at the thought of her "yeah, Y/N" he sat next to me "so girlfriend" I look up at him shocked "no-no-no it's not like that were just friends" he chuckled "they way you looked at her, are you sure" I nodded and he shrugged "whatever you say, but just know friends don't look at each other like that" after that he closed my door and I sat back stunned but smiled and got started on homework 'maybe he's not wrong'.

Macabre Mim
*Note: This story is on hiatus. I intend to pick it up again, but the mood of my life has shifted for the time being and I'm going to be working on a side project for a bit.* What would you give to live the life of your dreams? What kind of deal would you make? And when you were there, forced to stare your dreams in the eye and live them every day, how long would it be... before they broke you? Author's note: This is my first excursion outside the realm of villain fan fiction and I welcome feedback. The thing I've loved most about RRL so far is the potential for writing to be an interactive experience with excited readers. That said, also, the primary genre this is intended for is the blossoming realm of LitRPG. Namely, a slice of life tale in the manner of Grimgar or Re:Zero. So, likewise, I don't expect there will ever be a clear beginning-middle-and-end type of pattern to this story. It will likewise always be a bit more of a reactionary, exploratory novel into realms unknown - much like the 1800 travel-novel theme used by Jules Verne. Or, at least, that is my ambition.

HEIMDALLR
After his first life, Heimdallr felt he had lived a decent way; he wrote stories and lived a simple life, avoiding publicity and focused on promoting growth to the few who cherished his works. But after being reborn as Heimdallr Dagrsson, one of the many sons of Daesal's greatest warrior Dagr, he was put into a world devoid of wide-spread access to reading and writing. Instead, he was dropped into a world where fighting and death commonly reared their heads. Now, faced between his unsupported passion and his new life's innate talent and upbringing, he will have to find his new path. He will forge a new story that would make even himself dubious of whether or not it's fact or fable. HEIMDALLR is a story taking place in the setting created for another previous work of mine called KOBOLD. It follows a reincarnated person trying to wrestle between their old life and new life's wants and needs, all the while adapting to the situations that arise out of his control. Heimdallr starts out trying to survive and live a new life, all the while facing challenges and growth both fantastical and painfully real. Loosely inspired by Norse mythology and histories (names and some themes), spun into a fantasy, grit-rooted world. Skål! All content warning tags are applied so as to allow freedom of writing but there is no intent of excess or even regular use of these themes. Regardless of this, any and all uses will have dedicated warnings presented in the chapter whenever they are present! Reader beware!
