《Idol War (VKOOK)》Winner of Idol War

Jungkook is the first to leave the dressing room when Taehyung's performance is done.
He rushes through the hallway in hopes that he'll catch the boy before the winning ceremony.
He had a good 2 minutes though and at this point, Jungkook isn't sure he'll even have time to apologize to Taehyung.
The crew is running around everywhere and telling Hoseok and Jungkook to get some last minute touch ups before they all meet on stage.
However Jungkook just tells them off, looking through every small space backstage for the brown haired boy.
Namjoon is also backstage, going over his lines and dabbing his face with a towel.
And in his very hands, he holds a piece of paper which is sealed very security. It's the paper that has the winners name on it.
Jungkook sighs nervously, slowing his walking pace when he's dizzy from running in circles. Taehyung isn't backstage right now, and by the time he is, they'll be on stage.
Jungkook takes a seat next to Hoseok, allowing the makeup lady to powder him up.
He looks at his friend in the mirror.
"Are you nervous Hyung?" Jungkook asks, Hoseok opening his eyes to look back to Jungkook.
He takes a two breath and his eyes no longer show hope, but slight panic.
"Of course." He sighs, and Jungkook feels his legs buzzing as he shakes them out.
"Me too." He whispers, holding his hand to his chest as his heart threatens to beat out of his chest.
"Jungkook, I believe in you. Really." Hoseok reaches his hand out to Jungkook, and Jungkook is surprised.
"Wh..what do you mean?" Jungkook asks, closing in on Hoseok's hand, gripping it tightly.
"I want to see you win Jungkook. You deserve it." Hoseok says, squeezing his hand before letting go, dropping his hand to his side.
And Jungkook grows with annoyance.
"Don't say that Hoseok. We're all fighting our own competition. You should believe in yourself more." Jungkook turns his head to really look at the boy, earning a sigh from his makeup artist.

"I do believe in myself. But in this competition, I don't think I've found myself in the right place." Hoseok's voice is no where near sad, and if anything, he seems happy.
Jungkook doesn't quite understand his hyung, but Hoseok seems to have changed himself a lot from being on this show, and it seems to make him happy.
"I'm glad we got to do this together." Jungkook tells the boy before they're being called to meet on the edge of the stage.
Namjoon is already standing there as the two boys get up and walk over nervously.
Hoseok has shaky breathing that Jungkook can hear right beside him. He tries to calm his own nerves, constantly looking behind him to see if Taehyung is anywhere to be seen.
"30 seconds til live, where's the other competitor?" One of the crew members announces, earning a few more turning heads. They all look in the empty backstage area, growing anxious.
"I'll go search." The makeup lady says, rushing out of the dark area very quickly.
Namjoon sighs, his fist clenched as he looks out to the stage.
"10 seconds." The crew man says.
Jungkook bites his lip, looking from Namjoon, to Hoseok. And Hoseok seems to block everything out, just staring off to the stage.
Namjoon swears under his breath, turning his body to begin walking.
And Jungkook doesn't want to start walking. He doesn't want to go on stage yet, not with Taehyung.
"3 seconds."
Come on Taehyung.
"2 seconds."
"1 second."
Jungkook sighs, looking at the ground while following Namjoon's steps out to the stage.
"Go quick!" A high voice loudly yells from behind them.
Jungkook quickly turns for a second, before catching Taehyung being pushed by the makeup lady, rushing him out to the stage.
And the brown haired boy stumbles, about to trip right onto his face when Jungkook's hand shoots out to catch him.
Taehyung is shocked, his breath is heavy as he grips tightly onto Jungkook's strong arm.
He looks up at the boy, his eye contact very strong causing Jungkook to shiver.

"Sorry Tae" Jungkook says so quickly, letting go of the boys arm and turning to catch up to Namjoon and Hoseok.
And Taehyung takes a second to collect his thoughts before he's running behind Jungkook to get himself on stage where the live broadcast has started for the winning ceremony.
"Hello everyone. Now that we've had a very full night of amazing performances, everything must come to an end." Namjoon starts, earning an immense amount of Boo's from the crowd.
He laughs before continuing.
"Don't be too sad just yet. Before this night ends, let's give recognition to our last three competitors." Namjoon backs away to show all three boys to the crowd.
Everyone cheers loudly, standing on their chairs and waving their arms.
Hoseok, Jungkook and Taehyung all shake out their nerves with a smile, realizing this is their last moment to shine on this stage. Their last moment on the stage together.
They wave one at a time, earning many calls from the crowd.
"Sadly there can only be one winner in this competition. The first place winner will earn 10,000$ and a contract to become an idol through our company." The crowd cheers and the three competitors stand close to each other, feeling each other's nerves.
Jungkook discreetly brings his attention to Taehyung on his right, seeing the boys chest rise and fall aggressively.
Jungkook moves himself a little closer so that his shoulder is touching Taehyung's.
"The second place winner will receive 5000$ and a chance to feature in the winners first song." Namjoon announces.
"Third place will earn 1000$."
The lights suddenly dim, and the competitors open their eyes wide to see where they are.
Namjoon stands next to them, card in hand as he holds the mic with his other. He looks up at the judges, then facing the camera.
And Jungkook inches his way closer to Taehyung, the boys eyes are closed and his lips are parted to allow for him to let out heavy breaths.
And Jungkook is just aching to comfort the boy, aching to talk to him.
His hand skins over the back of Taehyung's, not getting much of a reaction.
"I will now be presenting the third place winner."
Jungkook skims Taehyung's hand again, knowing no one will see through the darkness of the stage.
Taehyung, being sick of the slight bother, suddenly interlocks his hand with Jungkook's tightly, opening his eyes as he does so.
Jungkook jumps slightly, before looking down at their hands and nervously smiling to Taehyung.
Taehyung rubs his thumb over Jungkook's, hoping to give him some comfort. And Jungkook squeezes Taehyung's hand, hoping to send the comfort back.
"In third place, the judges have chosen..."
Three spotlights suddenly appear on all three competitors and Jungkook squints at the bright lights.
Taehyung and Jungkook don't disconnect their hands as they anxiously wait for the tense silence to be filled again.
Namjoon raises the mic to his mouth.
"Jung Hoseok."
The crowd yells the second the boys name is called, and Jungkook's hand slightly loosens from Taehyung's, out of relief.
"Congratulations." Namjoon says to the boy, while Hoseok's smile is like the sun.
He looks to the crowd, opening his arms out wide and embracing the moment before walking back over to Namjoon.
He shakes the producers hand and thanks him deeply. Hoseok then turns and walks over to Jungkook and Taehyung.
He hugs both boys tightly, wishing them good luck.
"Good luck Jungkook. Love you buddy." Hoseok pats his friend on the back, giving him a hopeful smile before walking off the stage.
And then there were two.
"Now, the moment all of you have been waiting for."
The two boys reconnect their hands together, closing their eyes tightly as Namjoon speaks.
"I will now be announcing the first place winner."
Taehyung opens his eyes all of a sudden, directing them to Jungkook, who's still squeezing his eyes shut tight.
And Taehyung keeps his attention on the black haired boy at all times, wanting to see his full reaction when Namjoon calls out the winner.
"The first place winner is....."
"Jeon Jungkook."

Now finding himself lost in a realm rich in previously-limited Transcendental Essences, however, does he truly even want to return back to his old world? If nothing else, plagiarising - ahem, learning new spell structures by observing the local mages should prove entertaining. Sure, there were new dangers in this foreign world, but they wouldn't be anything a fancy bit of spellwork couldn't solve. Though, he would appreciate it greatly if someone could explain to him just what this 'cultivation' business was, why the local Mages were all muscle-brained freaks obsessed with immortality, and why they all seemed to lack any appreciation for the finer details of Essence manipulation. That would be nice.
