"Well, now
If suddenly you forget me
If you think it long and mad the wind of banners that passes through my life
And you decide to leave me at the shore of the heart where I have roots
Remember
That on that day, at that hour, I shall lift my arms
And my roots will set off to seek another land."
-Pablo Neruda

The car stopped with a halt and he turned to look outside.
After so long, Jin was infront of a very familiar sight.
A deep sigh escaped his lips.
He missed it.
He missed it a lot.
The green around him with the same old wooden fences.
He could even see the horses graze on the ground far away.
The bloke pulled down the window and took in the fresh air.
In an instant he felt his body relax.
The environment already doing a lot for me.
Jin really did need a break--
From everything.
With shaky hands he finally opened the door and got out.
Tears were already gathered in his eyes. He could imagine the warmth of his parent's love wrap around him.
Even if he was reluctant at first but he couldn't wait to meet them--
To see them--
After so--so long.
He's been strong for a long time but now it's finally time for him to just hide away and lean on the ones he love for some moments just so he could gather the strength he needs to fight for himself--
For his happiness---
For his well being.
With heavy steps,Jin walked to the place he called home.
Even with all the richness and luxuriousness Jeon mansion failed to give him a home.
The place he badly wanted yet he didn't get it all these years.
He was shaking.
His mind again overwhelmed with so many things.
Jin was staggering on his way but he didn't stop.
Because he finally felt like--
He was back home.
★★★★★★★★
"You are leaving so soon ?"
Ari chuckled and shook her head.
"I'm afraid so,master Taehyung."
"Your dad will be back soon and I need to be there to help with his dinner preparation."
"The staff there needs me."She said and Hoseok held back a scoff.
"I'm sure they can manage one dinner without you."He mumbled.
And the head maid turned to glare at him but didn't say anything.
"Fine."
"But don't forget to take care of yourself while you take care of my dad."
"I am worried about you,too."
Ari smiled.
"Don't worry,master Taehyung."
"I will."
"I missed you."The younger whispered and brought her in for a hug.
"I missed you too,master Taehyung."
"The home feels empty without you."
The maid returned his embrace.
Ari closed her eyes for a moment.
I am so sorry.
Please forgive me someday.

Yoongi entered his room and shrugged off his coat.
His shoulder tense because of everything that went around.
Jimin was sitting on the bed as he watched the tv.
The elder gazed at him for a second and walked away to the bathroom to wash up.
It was quiet except for the background noises from the show that was playing on the tv.
It was only when Yoongi stepped in the room again with a towel in his hand as he dried his hair that the younger looked up at him.
"Hyung ?" He called.
Yoongi hummed in reply and picked up his phone from the coffee table and sat down on the couch in front of it.

Jimin muted the tv and turned to the elder.
"I--"
"I---"
"Yes ?"
"I am going to my parents house, tomorrow."
"Oh."
"Did they call you ?"
"I can talk them if you want."Yoongi offered.
But Jimin shook his head.
"They didn't."
"I mean they did call but it's me, who wants to go."
"It's time I face them."
"I don't want to ignore it any longer."
He shuffled around, playing with the rings in his fingers waiting for his husband's reaction.
And the younger looked up when he heard the loud clearing of throat.
Yoongi was giving him a big supporting smile.
"Good for you,Jimin."
"I understand that it was tough for you to decide that."
"Do you want me to go with you ?"
The younger's lips curled up a bit at his words.
"No,you don't need to."
"I feel like it's something I should do alone."
And Yoongi nodded.
"Okay."
"But please know that you can always call me, yeah ?"
And Jimin chuckled.
"Yes."
Just then the younger's eyes fell on the wall clock.
"I should go downstairs to check on how the dinner preparation is going."He muttered and got up from the bed.
"Jimin ?"
"Yes,hyung ?"
"Just for today let's have dinner seperately in our own rooms."
"I'm sure everyone needs some time and space,no need to eat at the dinning table."
The younger looked reluctant but he still gave a nod.
"Okay,hyung."
★★★★★★★★
"It feels unusually quiet, doesn't it ?"Said
Taehyung and looked out of the window.
Jungkook hummed and walked towards him.
"It does."
"It really does."
"Do you--"
"Do I ?"
Taehyung gulped and turned to look at him.
"Do you think Namjoon hyung is okay ?"
"He hasn't come out of his study since Jin hyung left."
Jungkook huffed at the mention of his brother.
"He's probably fine, stop worrying about him."
"He got some thinking to do. So,it's better if he is alone for some time."
"He really needs to take some important decisions and that to very soon."
Taehyung nodded and turned to look outside the window again.
"Jungkook ?"
"Yes ?"
"I am meeting Alex,tomorrow."
He heard the elder take a deep breathe at his words beside him.
"Really ?"
"Yeah."
"I mean it's good to catch up with friends."
"We-we are not gonna catch up."
"I just want to have a talk with him and clear out a few things."
"Okay."
"Say whatever you want to him. It will only help you."
"I know."
"I will wait for you."
Taehyung smiled and leaned his head against the other's shoulder.
"I know that,too."
★★★★★★★★
Jin knocked on the door and blinked away his tears when he heard his mom's voice.
"Ji-ae,get up and come downstairs for lunch. It's late."
And just then she opened the door making her gasp out aloud surprised.
"Jin."
"Eomma."
Her lips quickly curled up in a big smile as she pulled her son closer.
"Oh my."
"It's been so long."
"My baby."She said as she looked at him everywhere.
"I missed you so--so much."
The older lady brought him in a hug and Jin closed his eyes in relief.
"Eomma."
"Yes."
"Yes,baby."
"Eomma is here."
"Eomma missed you so much."
The son wrapped his arms around her tight and hid his face in the crook of her neck.

And apparently she was loud when she greeted him because others also rushed to the door.
"Oppa."Said Ji-ae and Jina together in excitement and ran to hug him while he was still hugging their mother.
Jin just chuckled and shook his head.
"We missed you so much,oppa."
He pulled away from the mother's embrace to hug both of them.
"I missed you guys,too."
"How are you ?"
"We are good."
"Jin,son."
He turned to look and a smile broke out on his face.
"Appa ?"
He walked to hug the old man.
"My son."
"Oh how long has it been ?" Mr. Kim asked after they pulled away.
The son chuckled awkwardly.
"Quite long but don't think about it. Since I'm here now."
The older man smiled.
"Yes,you are here."
But his appa looked around and frowned.
"Our Son in law didn't come ?"
Jin immediately stopped smiling and he gulped as he looked in his Appa's eyes.
"No--no."
"He didn't."
"You know how busy things get there, right ?"
"Ofcourse,he is the CEO. He is very busy.Does he even get the time to eat, Jinnie ?" His mother chimed in.
Jin just blinked his eyes and nodded.
"He does. Don't worry, eomma."
"Okay."
Just then he noticed his driver who was carrying his luggage behind him.
He really did forget about him.
"Keep the bag in my room and have some snacks before you leave."Jin told the driver.
"Jina."
"Go and help him."
"Yes,oppa."The youngest sister replied and guided the driver inside the house.
"It must be a tiring journey for you."
"Eat something first then you can have some rest."
"Okay ?"
★★★★★★★★
It was the next day that Taehyung found himself sitting in a beautiful garden cafe.
He was in a quiet corner.
In normal setting he would have enjoyed it all around him but because of the talk he was going to have, the lad was nervous.
Just then Alex walked upto him with a smile.
"Hey."
"How are you ?"He greeted and sat down in front of him.
Taehyung gave him a small smile and nodded.
"I'm good. You ?"
"I am good as well."
"So,you wanted to talk ?"
The younger shuffled around in his seat.
"Yeah, I did."
He looked him in the eyes and gulped.
"You do deserve an explanation for my sudden disappearance in the past."
"I am sorry I never said anything to you and treated you like a stranger--stranger."
"But I just didn't want to look back at my past at that time."
"I was not ready and you just forced me to face it."
"And I guess I really didn't appreciate it."
Alex chuckled and nodded.
"First of all thankyou Taehyung for meeting me and finally giving me the answers I wanted."
"And second of all, I never wanted to force you. You felt pressured just by looking at me."
"I didn't want it in any way. I just wanted to encourage you to step forward."
"It wasn't my intention. I am sorry if you felt like that."
The younger nodded and took a sip of water from the glass that was infront of him.
"You know-"
He started.
"I was homeschooled till the last year of high school and then I was suddenly sent to London all alone."
"My friends list from childhood was really small."
"I didn't even know how should I act."
"I was so shy to talk to anyone. I kept to myself."
"In Korea I had my mom and dad with me. But there I had no one."
"I was all alone."
"Then you entered my shy awkward college life."He said with a giggle and Alex laughed.
"Because of you I wasn't just a shy introvert anymore. I was more than that."
"I made friends because of you."
"You made my college life so full of life and fun."
"You were one of the pillar I leaned onto once."
"We were together all the time, remember ?"
The man nodded.
"I do."
"I do remember it all."
"You were my comfort. I always looked for you in the crowd."
"I don't know the right moment I started liking you. But I know I did."
"I liked you."
"But before I could say something to you something happened. I didn't want to stay in London any longer."
"I was stressed and so emotional those days that I literally forgot about everything else."
"I didn't mean for it to happen. But it did."
"It didn't even come in my mind to atleast talk to you or any of our friends before I leave."
"I was just in a lot of hurry I guess."
"I am really sorry for that."
"And after getting here. My life there was least of my worries."
"Time went on and I stopped thinking about it."
"My life in London became a small part of me that I forgot."
"But I just want you to know that--"
"My feelings for you were true at one point."
"They really were."
"But the time, distance and situation did their own thing."
"I hope you can forgive me for all my mistakes."
"I did unintentionally or intentionally hurt you a lot."
"I know you waited for me."
"But I never returned back to you."
"And I am so sorry for that."
"So sorry."
"You really meant a lot to me."
"And you still do."
"You are my first friend and I treasure you."
"You taught me what friendship is supposed to feel like."
"I guess what I am trying saying is that----"
"We were just only meant to be friends."
And Alex gave him a small smile.
"I agree."
"I agree with you Taehyung."
"I also think we were only supposed to be friends."
"Nothing more."
"I know that doesn't change the way I felt about you in the past."
"You know that we have no control over it."
"But,yes."
"I liked you,too."
"I waited for you when I shouldn't have."
"But I just could not bring myself to stop."
"I waited for you not because of what we could have had."
"But I waited for you for what we had."
"We had our friendship."
"I just couldn't bring myself to admit it that our friendship meant so little to you that you left me just like that without any word."
Taehyung shook his head as tears filled his eyes.
"Don't think like that."
"Please don't."
"It meant a lot to me."
"But sometimes we are just only left with one choice."
Alex chuckled and nodded.
"I do know that now, Taehyung."
"But back then I didn't."
"And know that I don't blame you for anything now."
"But my past self definitely did."
"So,I thank you for apologizing and I accept it."
Taehyung closed his eyes as a tear rolled down his cheek.
"Thankyou."
"Thankyou so much,Alex."
But the other just chuckled and shook his head.
"No, thankyou Taehyung."
"You finally gave us a chance a talk and now we can finally leave this burden of past behind us."
"And I think I should leave now."
"It's almost time for my flight."
The younger tilted his head to the side, confused.
"Flight ?"
"Yes."He nodded.
"It's finally time I go back home, Taehyung."
The younger also got up and nodded.
He did want to say something but he didn't know what.
"Well then have a safe journey."
Was what only he could say.
Alex moved forward and brought him in for a hug.
"I hope you find your happiness soon, Taehyung."
"And I wish I could say that we can still be friends."
"But both you and I know that we can't."
"Even as friends I don't want to get hurt."
"But I'll always be your well wisher."
"And you can always call me when you feel alone."
"I'll be there."
They pulled back and Taehyung sniffled.
"Goodbye, Taehyung."
"Goodbye, Alexander."

The Anthology
This is my collection of short stories. I ask what stories would my audience like to read and write whatever they post in the comments. I strive for more than two dimensional characters and I like to make my stories somewhat unique. The first six entries are my experiment to just write without stopping and see what comes out. They can serve as an introduction for the reader to me as a thinker and writer. Although it should be known that the majority of those entries were written in a foggy state of mind. Entry seven is where my short stories begin.
