"What are you saying, Jungsuk ?"

"Have you lost your mind ?" Asked Jena in a raised voice and stood up from the couch.

"I have not lost my mind. What I said needs to be taken into consideration."

The woman scoffed in disbelief and walked forward to stand in front of his desk.

"Why do you even need to consider it ? There's no need."

"It has been decided for so long."

"You can't just think of changing it."

"I can and I am."

"Don't forget who has the last say in it." Replied Jungsuk.

Jena took a deep breathe to calm herself down and looked him straight in the eyes.

"But why ?"

"What is making you change your mind ?"

"What is making me change my mind ? Have a look at your boy in the office ?"

This time Jungsuk shouted as well, as he also stood up from his chair.

"I accepted his marriage with Jin and didn't say anything to them after their wedding."

"But I can't just accept the way he has been acting for the past few months."

"No report of his is on time, his work performance has never been this worse. There's no discipline in his life for our work."

"He is being so careless."

"Tell me how do you expect that I give him my company ?"

"The company on which I, my father and my grandfather worked hard on ?"

"I can't just pass it on to a careless boy, who has lost all his sense of responsibilities."

"So,I think it is valid to think about who will be the future CEO of my company?"

"And what's wrong with the company going on in the hands of Yoongi ? He is also smart and very capable."

"I trained him myself. I know that boy also has a lot of potential."

Jena looked at him with a frown.

"I am not saying that there is something wrong with Yoongi being the CEO. He is my son and I know he will do a good job."

"But we have always said it from the start that Namjoon will be the one to get the company."

"And even he knows it from the start. The boy has been preparing himself for it from his childhood. "

"You can't just take it away from him."

"Than,where is the damn preparation, Jena. Because honestly I don't see any."

"Yesterday at work I heard some people questioning Namjoon's ability of being a CEO just because of his recent behaviour."

"And this is not something to be question about when you have been preparing for it for so long like him."

"You can't do it, Jungsuk. It's his right. You can't take it away from him."She said defeated and sighed.

"I can't let you do it to my son."

Jungsuk chuckled bitterly.

"If he continued being this way, trust me I am definitely doing this."

"And I think you forget it sometimes-"

"But-"

"-Yoongi and Jungkook are also your sons. So start worrying about them, too."

Jena's nose flared up in anger as she glared at him.

"What's that supposed to mean ?" She asked.

And Jungsuk returned the glare.

"We both know the answer to that question."

"So stop it and please leave my office. I don't want to talk about it anymore."

Jena huffed in anger and turned around on her heels, storming out of the room.

The door closed behind her with a loud thud.

And she took a deep breathe, closing her eyes for a moment.

But the next time she opened her eyes a gasp escaped her lips.

"Namjoon ?"

She turned to him hurriedly.

"How long have you been here ?" She questioned and stepped forward towards him.

But the younger stepped back. His eyes wide open.

"Did you hear what your father and I talked about ?"

Namjoon didn't reply as he looked too shocked to say anything.

And his silence answered Jena's question.

She sighed and moved near her son,she cupped his cheeks and made him look in her eyes.

"Don't worry about it."

"I'll take care of it. I know how to handle your father."

"The company will only be yours."

"Yes ?"

And the younger finally blinked his eyes.

"But mother--"

"Why ?" He finally asked.

"You were late to every meeting that was held last month." Said Jena as she sat down on the couch in her study.

"Your reports are never on time."

"And don't get me started on your performance of past few months."

Namjoon stood in front of her as he stared at the floor.

"But mother-"

"I have a valid reason for all of that."

Jena raised her right eyebrow in question.

"And what is that ?"

"I was being late for the morning meetings because I always dropped Jin hyung to his college first. His finals were going on."

"So ?"

"You do know that we have drivers for a reason,right ? And even he can drive himself."

"You won't understand the reason,mother. Let it go.

"No,tell me. I'll try to understand."She countered.

Namjoon sighed.

"Jin hyung's always nervous about his finals and when I drive him to college while we talk to each other, helps him calm down."

"What ? How does--"

"I told you, mother. You won't understand it. Let it go, please."

Jena huffed.

"Fine."

"And my report was not in time because one time Jin hyung was sick and I had to take care of him."

"The other time we had a dinner planned. And I can't just cancel on him like that."

Jena opened her mouth to say something but Namjoon didn't let her.

"Don't. Please don't."

"And the thing about my performance is bullshit. I'm doing the same as before,just not overworking myself."

"I don't stay after work hours like my colleagues anymore because I have someone who's waiting for me to come back home every night. "

"That doesn't automatically mean that my performance has been so poor."

"I am a married man,now. I also have other priorities which I can't just ignore."

"Than you should do your best to manage each of your priority,Namjoon."

"Just because of a guy that you have only known for a few years, you can't just let the thing go that you have been preparing for basically whole your childhood." Spoke out Jena.

"Mother." Namjoon raised his voice.

"That someone is my husband,who I love."

"So,please mind the words you say to me."

Jena stood up from the couch and walked upto him.

"Don't worry. I will."

"But don't forget that if you don't do anything."

"The company will slip up from your hands."

"And if that happens, your father and I are going to be very disappointed."

"So, get it together."

"Will you ?"

The latter turned around and saw his elder brother walk upto him.

Soon Namjoon was sitting on the chair in front of him.

"What are you doing in the library ? You never step a foot in here ?" Asked the shorter male.

And the elder chuckled.

"I needed to talk to you and you were hiding here."

"I was not hiding."

Namjoon rolled his eyes playfully.

"Sure."

"So,what do you want to talk about ? "

The taller male took a deep breathe and looked him straight in the eyes.

"If father ever offers you the position of CEO in our company. Will you take it ?"

The younger chuckled and shook his head.

"No."He said and started reading the book,he was reading earlier.

"No ? Just like that ? You didn't even think about it."

Yoongi looked up again.

"There's no need for me think about that."

"Because even If I get the chance to be the CEO. I will definitely not take it."

"Besides it's you, who's going to be the CEO and I am not planning to steal that title from you ever."

"But why ?"

"Why don't you want be the CEO ? I don't understand it. The position holds so much power."

The shorter male shrugged in a non-chalant manner.

"I simply don't, sometimes we just don't have a reason."

"Yoongi." Said Namjoon in a serious tone and the younger sighed.

"Fine,you want to know why-"

"Because I am afraid I will loose myself."

The elder tilted his head to the side,confused.

"What do you mean ?"

"You just said that the position comes with so much power,right ?"

"Yeah."

"So with that comes so many things like responsibilities,stress and the reputation."

"You have to think twice before doing anything because of the damn reputation."

"And I don't want to be that person."

"The position and power changes you."

"You won't be the same as you were before."

"For some it can be a good change and for a some it can be--"

"You know what I mean."

"And I simply don't want to take that risk besides I'm not even interested in being a CEO."

"I'm happy where I am right,now." Explained Yoongi calmly.

'your father and I are going to be very disappointed. '

Namjoon sighed and leaned back on his chair.

Since he was a child. He was too used to being the child that makes his parents proud of him.

He thrived on the love he got after accomplishing a new achievement.

He loved the look of proud on his parents faces.

And he would always do his best to get it.

Namjoon was used to the attention he got from his mother and father.

To an outsider,it might look like he was or still is the ' favourite son'.

And it was also true in a way.

So, he didn't really like it when his mother used the word 'disappointed'.

He never disappointed them before.

Yes,when he married Jin. He expected them to sad or even angry but never disappointed.

Namjoon was not used it and he didn't know what to do about it.

The word disappointed repeated in his mind continuously. And he felt like he was loosing his mind slowly.

He was not a disappointment.

After so much hardwork. He can't let it all turn out to be a disappointment.

So,he made a decision.

"At first, I just wanted to prove father that I am very much capable of becoming a CEO."

"But I didn't realise it sooner that for it to happen. I would have to sacrifice our time together."

"It hurt me everytime to say no to you for every plan you made for us."

"The guilt and pain was so strong that I started to ignore you just to not say no to you. "

"And it worked out very well at that time. Again I didn't realise it consequences."

"On the other hand, mother had her own ideas on making you miserable because she thought it was all because of you that I was in that place."

"So, even if I wanted talk to you first. I had to be careful."

"I didn't want her to hurt you."

"You reached out to me countless times and I didn't even reach back to you,once."

"But stupid me didn't realise that I was doing so much worse to you than her."

"The goal and position become so important to me that I forgot how important you were to me."

"I started taking you for granted."

"Yoongi was right, you know."

"The position and power changes you."

"And it did change me slowly but for worse."

"Reputation and success started meaning a lot more to me than relationships and family."

"And when I finally made it to my goal. I found myself all alone."

"I couldn't find it in myself to reach to you and you had stopped reaching to me ages ago."

"I should have been smart at that time and address our situation. So we could talk it out and be better for each other."

"But no."

"I was a coward. I didn't do anything."

"And continued avoiding you by burying myself in work."

"And it's all because of me."

"I happened to us,hyung."

"I."

"Only me."

"I am the only reason we are like this." Said Namjoon.

And Jin laughed.

He laughed like crazy.

"That's it ?"

"That's fucking it ?"

"We are like this because of your incompetence to manage work and relationships."

"Because you are a coward ?"

" 'cause you don't know how to manage your time,Jeon Namjoon ?"Jin questioned in anger.

"You are so stupid."

"Coward."

"Idiot."

"You ignored me because of the guilt ?"

"You know you could have talked to me. And we could have avoided all of this from the start."He said and gestured to everything around him.

"But no,you didn't."

"You fucking didn't."

"And decided to do everything alone."

"Look where it brought us,Jeon Namjoon."

"You know what ?"

"I don't even want to see your face right,now." He said and stood up on his wobbly legs,ready to leave the bar.

The younger male said nothing and just stared at the floor with dejection.

And when Jin reached the door,he stopped for a moment.

His back to the younger,he called his name.

"Yes,hyung."

"Do we even love each other now ?"

Namjoon raised his head and looked at him.

A sigh escaped his lips as he held a tired expression on his face.

"I think we both know the answer to that question,hyung."
