"hyung-- Taehyung--hey wake up."

"We are here."

The black haired blinked his eyes open in haze when he felt someone shake him softly.

"W-what ?" he muttered in daze and sat up slowly.

He took a deep breath and rubbed his face. To come out of the hazzy state.

He turned only to see his husband stare at him.

"Guess you were tired afterall." Jungkook smiled softly.

Taehyung looked at the elder confused. When his eyes widened at all things that happened that day.

"Where are we ? " He stammered.

"You'll know it soon. " Replied Jungkook and passed Taehyung his trench coat from the backseat.

"Wear it. It's cold outside." He said and took his own coat too.

Taehyung did what he was told and watched Jungkook got out of the car.

The latter walked upto his side and opened the car door for him.

Jungkook gazed at Taehyung expectedly and stretched his hand forward for him to take.

"Join me."

Taehyung stared at their intervened hands as they walked to the big victorian styled, black and gold embedded gate.

It was dark. And their sight was limited. They could only see a little and it was because of the Christmas lights from the huge building next to them.

Jungkook pulled him in front of the gate and soon Taehyung saw a guard walk in their direction.

The other bowed to him and Jungkook politely.

The elder gave him a nod.

"We'll like to go inside."

The guard immediately pulled a set of keys and moved to open the gate.

A shriek sound was heard as the metal gate opened.

"The power is out at the moment. So it's dark in there. Please be careful while walking. "Said the guard as he stepped back to let the couple in.

"Okay. "Replied Jungkook and pulled Taehyung inside.

"Where are we --Jungkook ? " He asked again.

But before he could answer. Taehyung was greeted by a pleasantly fresh earthy and pine odour.

The younger looked around in surprise.

They were in a full grown garden.

Taehyung could make out where the trees, plants, flowers , bushes ,benches and sculptures were with the help of the moonlight and from the light of the building beside the garden.

It was evident that the garden was designed with a vintage theme.

And Taehyung instantly loved it. It was truly a beautiful sight.

He turned to gaze at his husband who was already looking at him.

"Liked it ?"

Taehyung gave him a big smile and nodded.

They strolled in silence , hand in hand. Taehyung loves garden and this one was big , well kept.

Taehyung took the lead as Jungkook walked next to him.

"It is so pretty." The younger whispered quietly.

"Yes." Smiled Jungkook.

The garden truly was a sight at night. And the lack of illumination somehow just made it more beautiful.

"How are we here ? It looks like a private garden. " Taehyung tilted his head a little and looked at elder.

"Yeah. This is a private garden. It's my friend's actually. We study together in high school. He got in some trouble and at that time and I helped him , so in gratitude he allowed me to come here anytime I want. This was my favourite place when I was in high school."

"But later with college and company I got a lot busy and my visits here decreased."

"It's been long since I came here." Explained Jungkook.

"Oh okay."

Taehyung appreciated the answer. Jungkook shared a small moment of his past with him.

Jungkook stared at Taehyung for a moment.

"Come on. I'll show you something. "He said and took the lead.

Taehyung watched in astonishment as they passed a small bridge.

"Wow. "He breathed.

The sight really was amazing. He never saw something like that.

Taehyung was bemused when he heard the sound of water falling down.

But soon he gasped when he came across another beautiful sight.

There was a big water fountain in the centre of the garden. And the water was flowing down from it.

Releasing his hand from Jungkook's. He walked near it excited.

It was all alluring and marvelous.

Taehyung understood why this was Jungkook's favourite place.

The scene just calms your heart and provides the peace, they need.

The stars in the sky with the moon and everything made Taehyung smile. He was happy.

The younger admired it all quietly. He even forgot about his husband for a moment.

After some time when Taehyung didn't feel any presence behind him. He turned around only to gasp loudly.

"J-Jungkook ? w-what are you doing ?" Taehyung was confused.

"Please get up." He moved to help his husband stand up.

But Jungkook didn't move. He looked at Taehyung with glassy eyes.

"J-Jungkook ? What happened ? Why are you on your knees ? " Get up stuttered younger all confused.

"Taehyung. " Called out the elder.

"I am sorry."

"What ? "Asked the younger softly.

"I am sorry. Please forgive me for the way I treated you since the start--"

Jungkook gulped harshly as he felt the tear gather in his eyes.

"I was not ready for our wedding. I was scared. I had witnessed the fall of Namjoon hyung's wedding. I saw the dejected look of Yoongi hyung after his wedding. I saw how alone Jin hyung was. I saw how affected Jimin hyung was--"

"I saw everything-- I was a kid at that time but everyone around me was already so broken."

"Mother and father always stressed about our image and status. Hyungs were busy with their own problems to pay attention to me. No one really showed me what love was actually like. Yes, we lived together but it never gave any comfort to us. It was like a business deal all the time." Jungkook scoffed bitterly.

"The way I talked to you. The way I was so rude to you was just like the way others were with me."

"How I was warned to dress properly , to care about the company and business ,to not screw it up , to be perfect all the time , to not show your real emotion."

Tears went down his cheek as Jungkook spoke. He remembered all the past memories.

"Than after graduating from college, I thought I'll be free for some time. I wanted to get away from all this even for a small time. No studies were holding me back. I wanted to explore."

"But-- right after the day I graduated , father told me that my wedding have been fixed. And I would have to join the company immediately."

"I knew there was no chance for me to deny and rebel. Yoongi hyung tried his best to stop his wedding but in the end he was still forced to tie the knot with Jimin hyung."

"Namjoon hyung didn't help him and me. He just told us to accept our fate."

"I was furious at him. He fought with mother and father to marry Jin hyung. But he didn't stood by us when it was our time."

Jungkook sniffled as the tears in his eyes didn't stop.

"I felt alone. There was no one I could share my feelings with." His voice broke.

"And than--than you came in my life as my husband." Spoke the elder and gazed at Taehyung.

Taehyung cheeks were also covered with tears as he had his hand on his mouth to stop himself from making any noise.

"I was never angry at you. I was angry with everyone else in the house. But you were just there to hear my--my bitter words."

"It was not your mistake. It was only mine. You tried your best from the start."

"It took me some time to accept the truth. I was not ready but when I accepted it. I didn't know how to act in front of you."

"Trust me I tried to be gentle but the words that came out of my mouth were always harsh."

"I was never taught how I should behave with you. As tough it can be it for you believe. I was never in a relationship. I didn't know anything. I was clueless."

"So the best solution for me at that time was to avoid you. I know it's stupid but I was scared."

"Scared that you'll not accept me. Scared that our relationship lost the hope."

"I didn't want to face the truth that I screwed up and now our relationship will just be fake."

"I thought you hated me for the way I treated you. And you did everything out of obligations."

"Clearly I was wrong. I realised it. I am one stupid human. " Chuckled Jungkook sadly.

"I despised when you cried because of me. It ate me alive."

"All this happened because I was not ready to accept the truth."

"I cursed at myself , stayed awake all night. I didn't want you to cry and for that I knew I had to change. I had to become better. "

"That's why I was behaving like that. I am sure you were wondering about this sudden change."

"But before I change for our relationship and for us. I have to apologise to you."

"I am sorry. I am a terrible husband. I was never there for you. But I am trying to change. I want to give this a chance."

"Please forgive me. I am so sorry. "Begged Jungkook as he clasped his hands together in front of Taehyung.

Gray coloured clouds covered the sky. Hiding the moon and the stars. The weather was suddenly more cold.

The younger was crying silently.

It was the first time Jungkook opened up to him.

Jungkook asked for his forgiveness.

Jungkook wants to give their relationship a chance.

But it's not easy for Taehyung to forget the two years.

It was a tough time for him.

Taehyung also felt the loneliness that he never felt before.

"I am no angel." He stuttered.

"I know I am good person."

"But I can't just simply forgive you. It doesn't work like that."

"I suffered a lot. I almost gave up on us." He cried.

"I am happy you want to give us a chance. I am ready for it. We are already bonded. I always wanted this."

"I won't deny it. But I need some time to forgive you, Jungkook."

"I just need some time. "He said as tears streamed down his face.

"Please understand it."

Jungkook shook his head crying.

"Don't say please. I know it's not easy."

"I'll wait for you to fully forgive me . And you don't know how happy you made me by saying you want us."

"We are married. But there was nothing in this marriage. So I want to start from the beginning."

"Will you allow me to start from the beginning ?" Asked Jungkook. His cheeks and nose red from all the crying.

"What do you mean by from the start ?" Questioned Taehyung as he took a deep breath to calm himself down.

"I want us to be friends first. I want us to get to know each other. We should build a base for our relationship. So will you, Jeon Taehyung be my friend ? "Asked Jungkook with a smile.

Taehyung gave him a big smile.

"I like that."

"I'll love to be your friend, Jeon Jungkook."

Both of them chuckled and Taehyung walked to him. The younger held both his hand and helped him stand up.

Jungkook watched him with adoring eyes and rested their forehead together.

Their breaths mingling with each other.

"I am excited for the new beginning of our relationship." Whispered Taehyung.

"I am excited too. "He whispered back.

A smile on their face.

Taehyung felt something fell on his head. He looked up and his eyes widened.

"The first snow." he said in astonishment streched his hand forward to touch the snow flake.

He giggled when a snowflake landed on his nose.

Snow was falling everywhere. It enhanced the beauty of the garden.

Taehyung swirled around as Jungkook watched him amused.

"It's snowing." He said and turned to look at him.

Jungkook laughed and walked upto him.

"It's fascinating , isn't it ? He asked and cupped Taehyung's cheeks.

The latter nodded excitement visible in his eyes.

"You're adorable." Said Jungkook and moved closer. Their lips so close.

Taehyung noticed it and all his excitement vanished as he took a tremored breath.

Taehyung closed his eyes when he felt Jungkook move close.

The elder admired his beauty and tilted his head to the side to kiss him on the cheek.

The younger's eyes shot open as he didn't expect it.

His eyes met the others dark orbs.

"I'll try my best. I'll make you happy. I promise."

Finally some progress after 22 chapters.🤧

I hope you guys don't feel like the closeness between them was rushed. I took some time with their moments. Please tell me if you feel like it. I don't want to rush.

But they are just friends now. It's still a long for them. Jungkook started it by asking for forgiveness.
