Setting: 10 years after Golden Wind, you're 26.
Content: Fluff
Inspired by 365 Days by Blanka Lipinska.
Stand: Guardian Angel
You can heal others, but in turn, they forget who healed them, and you'll always be discredited.
Things were getting rocky between you and your boyfriend, Jay. Sometimes he'd hit you and manipulate you into thinking he was actually sorry about it. He knew that you were having enough of him, so he decided to take you on vacation to Italy.
Naples, to be exact.
~~~~~~~~~
Arriving at the airport, you notice a moderate amount of gang activity. Stealing luggage, pickpocketing, threatening for money. You always try to mind your business, but you can't help but feel for the victims.
What nobody knows is that you are a stand user. Strangers cannot remember you at all if you healed them, and friends won't remember that it was you who healed them. You're a guardian angel. That's also your stand's name.
"Y/N, come on, the cab is here!" your boyfriend waves.
You snap out of your subconscious. Turning to Jay, a black Mercedes-Benz passes you. The tint is almost illegal with how dark it is, but those shimmering green eyes aren't something you can forget.
And it seems like he didn't forget you, either.
You perk up, trying to forget about your sudden interaction and jog to Jay.
That man with the luscious hair, the most unique style, and the prettiest eyes you've ever looked into is someone from your past. Him remembering you can't be real.
5 years ago, you found him bleeding out in Rome. You could definitely see his golden stand too weak to try and heal him.
You wanted to mind your business so bad.
But he was so young for death to take him away.
So, in the midst of a full moon, you healed him as he gave his weakest smile. You smiled back and walked away, content with the fact that he will forget you.
Jay was too busy doing paperwork for his patients... while on vacation. He is a successful neurosurgeon who strives to be the best in the country.
You feel so frustrated that you put on a revealing and flattering dress to head to the club alone. You put your hair in a slicked-back ponytail and foxy makeup. You need to show Jay what he's missing out on.
You head to the door and leave, Jay only wishing you fun and a good night.
He looked angry, though.
You smile as you walk into the elevator. That'll show him.
You enter the club and go straight to the bar. You order some exotic cocktail because of the pretty colours.
You take a sip and almost spit it out, "This is awful..."
Someone slides in next to you and orders something, "Let me get my usual, and also one for the pretty lady."
You put down your drink and turn to him. He smiles at you, and your eyes widen ever so slightly at the sight of him.
"Can I help you?" you ask.
"No, I just know your drink was bad. That's the first drink I've had here, too."
You both laugh and awkward silence follows.
"Oh, uh, my name is Y/N L/N. And you?" you introduce yourself.
"Giorno Giovanna," he replies, sipping his drink.
You take a sip of yours. It's really good.
Your favourite song plays and you feel the need to get on the dance floor.
"Thanks for the drink, Giorno!" you say as you stumble on your heels and get dancing.
He smiles at you as you walked away, but you didn't see.
After 10 minutes of dancing, you check the time. It's 1:07. You decide to go home as you feel tired. Almost too tired, in fact. This is not normal because you work night shifts at the hospital whenever you can't face Jay, which is more often than you'd like.
Your eyes are drooping, but you know you can't be sleepy, not when you're clubbing. Was a drug slipped into your drink? No... but the bartender gave it to you straight away.
You fade away into a vision of Jay and a vision of Giorno. You hope you'll be safe by the time you wake up.
You're cold, yet so warm. Stone walls surround you and thick duvets keep you in bed. But you realize this isn't your bed, so you jolt up.
It's night and dim lights surround the old mansion you happen to be in. You were kidnapped.
What bothers you is that you're in a night gown that seems like it was tailored specifically for you.
You feel brave enough to wander the mansion. The decoration is quite old fashioned, but what really catches your eye is the portrait in the middle of the living room.
It's a picture of your face.
"I spent 3 million euro on that portrait. It was hard to get it to look like you," a soft voice says behind you.
You turn around, "Giorno Giovanna. Why did you kidnap me?!"
"Y/N,-"
"Shut the fuck up and let me out!" you yell.
He shakes his head, "Sit down."
You try pushing past him to get outside, "Fuck off and let me go."
He grabs your wrist and pulls your face inches away from his, "Sit the fuck down and let me explain."
You get pushed into a chair and give in.
He starts, "I'm sorry I did this to you. But please, amore. Let me explain myself."
"Don't call me amore, you asshole. You sound like my boyfriend. Explain and let me free," you spat.
"Jay is no longer your boyfriend. I left him a note for your goodbye. Let me tell you about why you're here now," he paces around the room slowly.
You felt a bit relieved that Jay is no longer your boyfriend. You've dealt with enough and it ends here. You have a whole new problem to deal with now, though.
Giorno continues, "5 years ago, I got into a situation that ended in a huge fight with stands. I know you have one, by the way. I miscalculated my moves and set myself up for death. My enemy wanted to let me die slowly and painfully as revenge for killing their previous don. But a gorgeous, gorgeous woman stumbled upon me. She healed me completely during a full moon. I can't look at the moon without thinking of her. So, when I saw her at the airport this morning, I knew she had to be mine."
You smile sarcastically, "Isn't that nice? A woman healed you and you're in love with her. Let me go."
"Don't you remember?" Giorno asks, "That woman was you."
"I-Impossible. I've never been to Italy before this," you lie.
"My power, or my stand, can give me what I want most at any moment. At that moment, I wanted to remember you most," he admits.
"I've never seen you before tonight. You're crazy, let me go!" you demand.
You get up from your seat but he picks you up and puts you back effortlessly.
"Don't test me, Y/N. In my world of taking everything by force, it's hard to be gentle with you. You can be set free in a year if you don't fall in love with me. 365 days. I'm sure you will, because I'll do anything for you to love me," he says.
"I have a stand. I'll kill you," you threaten him, but you know that your stand is no match for him.
"You can't kill me, unless you want the entirety of Passione trying to kill you. I am the don, and I'm certainly more powerful than you are," he smiles.
"What? You'll kill me?" you provoke him.
He stares at you with his jaw clenched, "Let's go shopping for your new clothes."
