Setting: Golden Wind era, you're 16
Content: Angst, fluff
TW: Gun violence
"Dad, are you serious!?" you ask your stubborn father.
His voice becomes more stern than it already is, "Yes, Y/N. No more questions. You need someone with you at all times."
You groan and storm off to your room.
You're Y/N Rossi, daughter of millionaire Carlo Rossi. You believed that you shouldn't rely on your father's fortune, so you picked up a music career from a young age. You're not old enough to move out yet as you're still a minor, but you will when you can.
You open the door to your room and slam it. Having a bodyguard invades privacy! You don't want people near you 24/7!
You decide to go into the city and enjoy your alone time while you can. You went into your favourite stores and got your favourite treats. You talked to the old lady on the street selling flowers and decided to buy some.
When you arrived at home, your father was in the living room with a blond guy in a pink suit. This guy can't be your bodyguard... he looks too odd to be hired by your father.
"Ah, Y/N. Come, meet your bodyguard, Giorno Giovanna," you father gestures you over to the living room.
Giorno smiles at you and holds his hand out, giving you a firm handshake.
Your father gets up, explaining rules he has for the both of you, "Y/N's career is becoming more serious and people will come after her and my fortune. Giorno has expressed extreme strength and loyalty, so you two will be together in public, but not at school. You must be home by 10pm."
You roll your eyes and argue with the old man, "I'm not a baby, dad! This is unreasonable! I already have protection at my concerts!"
"This isn't up for discussion. Talk to eachother, will you?" he asks as he heads back to his office.
"Giorno, go home. I'll pay you what he's paying you if you go home," you order him.
He shakes his head, "I don't think you have the kind of money he does."
You get defensive, "What does that mean? I'm not a 'daddy's money' girl, okay? You'll still get paid for doing absolutely nothing. Leave me alone."
"No can do," he smiles.
Great. Why won't he take that offer? Does he WANT to get on your nerves?

"Get some sleep then, we have a concert in Rome."
You wake up and pack a few of your things. Giorno helps you load them into your car and gets into the drivers seat.
"Hey! Out of my car. I own this," you demand.
"Y/N, just sit pretty in the passenger seat, will you? I was told to drive you," he responds.
You purse your lips and then get in.
"How old are you?" you ask him. He looks like he's your age, but his figure says otherwise. He's not lanky and bony, he's lean and defined.
"I'm your bodyguard, not your friend," he remarks.
You look at him, a little annoyed, "Your hair looks like spring rolls dude, I don't want you being my friend anyways."
His lips turn into a small frown upon your sudden insult, "I'm 15."
You look out the window, not trying to say anything else.
~~~~~
You eventually arrive in your concert venue, heading to your change room. Your stylist chooses a tacky outfit for you, and you top your outfit off with a flower headband. As you were changing into the clothes, you sang a couple of your unreleased songs.
You leave the change room to find Giorno standing outside of it, "I don't remember that being on any of your albums?"
You raise an eyebrow, "Since when did you listen to my music, egg roll?"
He frowns, "My name is Giorno."
"Okay, Giorno!" you smile teasingly as you walk on the stage to perform.
~~~~
The performance was going great. The crowd was doing a big wave in the nosebleeds while people in the pit were singing their hearts out. This was your most successful show, surely. You touched your fans' hands and reacted to signs that were held up.
The show was running smoothly until screams were heard and your fans started running away in every direction.
You froze on the stage, confused. What was happening? Everything was too loud and you couldn't see what was going on in the massive arena.
That's when you saw it. In the midst of everyone running away, there was someone walking directly towards you angrily.
They point something at you and you felt like life was in slow motion.
You looked to your left. Giorno was running to you, but you saw that the bullet fired. He's too late. The bullet was coming at you. He was 2 metres away. Too far.

Suddenly, a tree bursts up in front of you, stopping all 5 bullets from reaching you.
Giorno jumps off of the stage towards the shooter, lifting him up into the air and barraging him while standing there. How the fuck?
You peek behind the tree, scared of Giorno.
"Y/N, are you alright?" he hops back up and peeks behind the tree.
You look at him with pure fear, "H-How did you... do that?"
He extends his hand, "My job is to protect you. You just have to trust me. Can you trust me?"
You hesitantly take his hand, "I guess? You freak me out, Giorno."
He smiles, "So you are capable of saying my name!"
Your eyes widen, "Giorno! What if someone was shot in the crowd! Can you please go check for me and tell me? I'll pay for their hospital bills!"
He nods and comes back 15 minutes later, "No one was shot."
You sigh of relief, then start crying as you sit on the edge of the stage.
"I really thought everything was going well. Silly me, I should know that things never go my way by now."
The blond sits beside you, giving you a meaningful look, "This wasn't any of your fault. You can redo the show soon for the people who attended today."
You give him a genuine smile, "I hope everyone's okay. Are you okay?"
He nods, "Just fine."
You look at the tree that came out of nowhere, "Hey, how did you do that?"
He smirks and tell you, "It's a secret, bella."
"You have magic??" you ask him.
He gets up and heads toward the parking lot, "Come on, lets go home."
You grunt and drag your feet to the car.
On the way home, you spotted the old lady on the street selling flowers again. Her stock was still full, and you felt like you had to do something.
"Stop the car!"
You headed out and asked the woman how much everything was, then gave her the money and only took 3 yellow tulips with you.
When you got in the car, you gave them to Giorno, "Hah, these look like your hair. One for each roll."
He takes them from your hand gently and smells them, "Why?"
You look out your window, "For protecting me and everyone else. Thank you."
He blushes slightly at your gesture.
~~~~
After a month of touring Europe for your shows, you finally got to rest at home. Giorno wasn't needed anymore, but he insisted on staying.
On a few private jet rides, you ended up sleeping on his shoulder. You felt safe with him, and to be honest, you didn't want him to go.
However, your father became fond of your friendship with Giorno. He's overprotective, so he wanted to get rid of him.
He called you and Giorno to his office and told him that he has to go by tomorrow morning. You argued with your dad and telling him how strong Giorno was, but it was not up for negotiation.
At night, you left your house and went to the pool, sitting on the edge and letting the tension run free.
You started to sob. Giorno has been nothing but kind to you, and he'll probably get hired by other people. You probably won't see him again, if not a while.
"Giorno..." you whisper in between breaths.
"Yes?" a calming voice says behind you.
You turn around, wide-eyed, "Oh, sorry. You should be sleeping right now."
He sits down beside you and smirks, "Crying over me, Y/N?"
You scoff, "I regret going out here."
"You know, I don't want to leave you either."
You turned to him, face wet with tears, "R-Really?"
He smiles and faces you, "You are the most selfless person I've ever met. You got shot at 5 times, but you only cared about the health of everyone else. You bought the old lady's flower stock but you only took 3 tulips, which you gave to me. You wanted to pay for people's hospital bills."
You blush at his words and he leans closer to your face, tucking your hair behind your ear, "You're amazing and extremely beautiful. Incomparable to every woman on Earth."
You look away from him, flustered.
He grips your chin softly and turns your face to him, faces 3 inches apart.
"Giorno..." you whisper his name.
"What is it, bella?" he responds
You put your hand on his cheek and pull him in for a sweet kiss, "You are as selfless as I am, caro, so thank you... for everything."
He smiles and pulls you in for another kiss.
sorry for ghosting y'all lol hope you enjoyed
