Bf/N = Best friend's name

You become conscious, eyes still closed. It's probably BF/N. They always stay up so late. You sigh softly and try to go back to bed.

You groan and turn your back away from where your phone is charging.

You shoot your eyes open and you turn back around to pick up your phone. You squint at the sudden brightness. It's 2:07 am.

You tap on the notification.

You grab your phone off it's charger and sleepily put on some shoes, exiting your home. Josuke's car was there waiting for you.

You open the car door, saying, "Where are you taking us at 2 in the morning?"

He puts a hand on your inner thigh as he drives off, "The stars are brighter than ever. I have a plan for us."

"But babe, I was sleeping," you whine and rub your eyes.

He smiles at how adorable you're being right now, "I know, so take a quick nap to regain some energy. I'm driving to another side of Morioh."

You shut your eyes. About 15 minutes later, he nudges your shoulder softly.

You eyelids flutter open and you give Josuke a sleepy smile, "Where did you take us?"

He gets out of the car and opens the door for you, "Come out and see."

You stare in awe of the view. There was a bench near a cliff that hangs over Morioh's beach. It seemed like you two were stargazing tonight.

You two sit on the bench, hand in hand. His thumb runs over the side of your hand to neutralize the silence.

"Y/N, I brought you here so I can tell you how I feel about you, about us," he starts.

"About us?" you ask.

"I know this is straightforward, but I really look forward to our future together. The love that we share, I don't want to lose it. Even if we were just friends, I don't want to lose you. You have no idea what you do to me. We're just teenagers, but I want to marry you eventually."

You breath hitches as you process his heartfelt speech about you. Butterflies form in your stomach after imagining you and him getting married.

He looks at your reaction, but you're staring at him, mouth agape. He looks away in shame muttering, "Damn it. I messed up."

You smile and kiss his cheek, making him look back at you, "Josuke, there isn't anything I'd love more than spending eternity with you. You have no idea what you do to me. These butterflies in my stomach right now, you caused them. I love you with every inch of my being."

He grabs your cheek, kissing you as passionately as both of your confessions were. You melt into his touch. This boy, this amazing boy that you loved so very much, drove you insane at times. It's almost as if he can make your heart explode by being near you, by teasing you, by loving you.

It felt too good to be true, but here you are, kissing a kind-hearted, handsome boy who is eventually going to put a ring around your finger and say, "I do."

You can't wait until that happens.
