"Excuse me?!" The modern world agent almost yelled, but immediately composed himself to look more professional
"Jack died, he was killed"
Only now you remembered that Jack told you he was the son of one of the founders of this 'experiment', which meant his death would've been a serious issue.
The mysterious man visibly became pale, probably not expecting he'd have to explain to the boss that his son died. He walked back and forth, trying to think of something, but obviously it was impossible to do something either than accepting the truth
"Ugh, that is bad news indeed. Come, we need to get back immediately. We can't stay any longer in this place" he grabbed your hand and started dragging you towards the portal
"What is going on here?!" The doors opened revealing an alerted Mista with his gladio out, ready to combat; behind there was Giorno approaching as well.
As soon as the emperor saw the man and the portal, his gaze immediately changed into one if worry and remorse. His puppy eyes looked directly at your soul, making you feel extremely guilty of what was happening, you were about to leave the one who loved you and proposed to you, without even telling him. But at the same time you had doubts on your relationship and on the way you would've survived those times. You still wanted to go home, back to your previous life and your homecoming would've helped the experiment as well! Your experiences written down to help understanding the working process of the portals as well as life in other realities and civilizations.
As Giorno started running towards you, you were pushed inside the portal and after a few seconds you found yourself in the laboratory full of various machines, scientists and other people.
There your experience in Giorno's land ended, the portal was closed and you were back in your reality, followed by a feeling of guilt, sadness, but at the same time relief and peacefulness.
A lot of people, meanwhile, gathered around you. Some brought you normal modern clothes, others food and drinks and the scientist started interrogating you on your experience, despite your fatigue.

You started narrating them how everything started: how you saved the emperor, how you lived as the emperor's girlfriend, how the roman civilization was built, the life of the royalty as well as the life of a peasant, the army system, the emperor's madness and so on.
"B-ut...but how did my son die?" Suddenly a man among those scientists asked, who turned to be Jack's father apparently.
"Jack? Well he... He was killed by a roman criminal during the night. The criminal was immediately lynched, it is unknown what made this person attack Jack, but i suppose-"
"But shouldn't there be guards?!" He interrupted you on the verge of crying
"Yes indeed, but we all know that humans are not robots nor cameras. It is possible that the guard was asleep, distracted or even corrupted. After all, i saved the emperor, so there must've been an opposition trying to get inside the palace" you lied. You knew it was all a bluff and it was wrong to say something like this, but you didn't want an enraged CEO to open the portal again to get his revenge, not only hurting himself but also hurting Giorno. In any case, only you knew the truth there.
This seemed as a pretty realistic situation, hence the crowd believed you. After a few hours, they finished interrogating you and sent you home. Thankfully, while you were at Giorno's they managed to track you down and warned your family and closest ones about why you suddenly disappeared.
Now you had to go home and start narrating your stories again
'Marvelous, at this rate i'll never be able to forget whatever happened there. How people died because of Giorni's love for him, how i've betrayed him... At least, i'll also treasure the good memories, such as the amazing people i've met and the realest love i've experienced!'
After you left the building, there was still something bothering you. You always blamed it on guilt and remorse, but a certain paranoia was always following you to the extent that you always felt unsafe, watched and in danger.
Obviously the others told you it was a normal thing after the 'trauma' you've been through, but you didn't quite buy it. There was something more of it, something closer and more real. It wasn't just an abstract idea, it had a physical, always present cause.

A few weeks later
You were following your usual night routine as you started hearing sounds.
'Oh shit i'm hallucinating' you thought, but your paranoia kicked in at the thought of someone breaking in your apartment.
You took the knife you've previously decided to hide in your room for security reasons and started checking the house.
Bathroom, nothing;
Living room, nothing;
Corridor, nothing;
Kitchen, nothing;
'I must've imagined it'
Everything seemed normal, so you turned your heels back to your bedroom in order to prepare yourself for the night.
After changing your pjs you closed your door, turned the lights off and went to sleep, but you weren't able to actually fall asleep so you only closed your eyes and started daydreaming, in hope that it will make you sleep.
A decent amount of time later, as you were about to fall asleep, you felt a big weight on you, almost like if someone layed on you.
You opened your eyes widely and saw him
"Giorno..."
", did you miss me? I can't believe you ran away like that but... ." He murmured with love sick eyes and a psychopatic smile
"How did you-"
"It doesn't matter, does it? I'm here now and i will take care of you" he whispered and kissed your forehead. Next, he lowered himself around your belly area and kissed it
""
'Our BABY?!"
"Oh, don't give me that surprised look dear. I'm more than convinced our last time left a mark. After all, i released deep inside of you; you must be pregnant" you completely forgot about the possibility of getting pregnant, but now you realised that he was completely right. He must've knocked you up and he's done it on purpose, so that way you'd be tied together
Giorno's face went back in front of yours, his beautiful eyes looking right through you and his locks falling on your shoulders
"Do you still love me?" He asked never breaking the eye contact, which had an almost hypnotizing effect on you
"Yes" you quitely whispered, but it was loud enough for him to understand your answer. His smile widened as he proceeded to pepper your face with kisses, until he reached your right ear and whispered
""

In the roman empire, Giorno's missing status made everyone worried. What could've happened to him? After he has been so successful in battles and among his people, he just disappeared.
His place was taken by Bruno, who followed Giorno's ideals and ideas and made an excellent job as an emperor, together with his wife Trish.
Abbacchio was nursed back to health and was given a big break, together with a luxurious house in the country side, where he could've enjoyed his peace.
Guido, Narancia and Fugo all achieved amazing roles in society thanks to their experience:
Fugo became the general in charge of the military forces;
Guido was the head of the guards, whose job was to teach newbies, control the guards and battle against corruption;
Narancia was given the role to control the overall expectations and opinions inside the city, to gather ideas on how to make people happier and transport easier.

"Hey Risotto. Aren't the wanted thieves the guys there? The ones who stole Giorno's ring?" Prosciutti poked his teammate to check two guys in the distance. Both of them came closer to check and possibly execute or bring to Bruno.
"Hmm, no apparently it's not them. Giorno was told the thieves were a black haired, blue eyed guy together with a red haired green eyed, which were always hanging out together. This guy hasn't green eyes, they're lavander!" Risotto stated and continued patrolling ahead, deciding not to waste time on kids
"So you're saying these two aren't the ones we're looking for?" Prosciutto suspiciously eyed the boys one more time and followed Risotto
"Even if they were, we can't get the red haired since we have a mis-match with the eyes, besides Giorno already solved his problems. Let's just forget of this" the tallest shrugged, knowing he had a point
"Hmm... yeah, fair enough" they both agreed and continued their day around the city
