"Damn, i've been laying here for three hours and i still can't fall asleep. Maybe i should check on Guido and Narancia. Hopefully they forgot about that embarrassing accident earlier" you thought as you went to open the door, only to find two almost asleep guards

"Hey guys are you two, like, sleeping?" You asked, trying to contain your chuckles after seeing their surprised faces

"Y/N? Why aren't you sleeping?" Guido asked you

"I can't fall asleep after everything that is happening to me right now. Stress, probably. But i see that you two definitely lack of sleep. Do you want to rest a bit?" you clearly saw how tired your friends were, so letting them rest wouldn't harm anyone especially since you wouldn't sleep anyways

"Ohh nono we can't-" Narancia got interrupted by you

"You need it! How long have you been up? Have you had some sleep at least?" you asked, to what both guards just looked down, knowing that you were right

"C'mon guys, go sleep a bit in the room, i don't mind my guards receiving the sleep they deserve" you continued.

Guido and Narancia looked at each other, sighed and entered the room. Having no guards is no better than having two exhausted guards, so they accepted your request and thanked you.

As soon as they layed down, they immediately began to fall asleep, not even being able to keep their eyes open for a minute after getting on the bed.

You decided to let them be, they needed it. Meanwhile you exited the room and stayed outside it in order not to bother your friends. Nothing should've happened anyways, there were guards at the entrance of the mansion itself so you weren't worried at all.

You chilled a bit in the corridors, thinking about your life in general and how to act and react to everything happening with you.

"Can't sleep tonight?" You turned your head to where the voice was coming from and you saw your boyfriend coming towards you

"Yeah, a bit of insomia is getting at me. And why are you still up?" you asked as he already got very close to you

"I felt like something was not right, so i decided to control the mansion and now i've met you" he embraced you in a hug, which you carefully accepted

"Oh, so i'm not right?" you joked, making Giorno chuckle

"The fact that you're still up is not right. If you have problems with your sleep i can make you some company" he said as he took your hand and started leading you to your room

"Well, you can try. But first you gotta wake two tired sleeping beauties up" you now silently chuckled as you opened the door to your room.

Giorno wasn't very pleased. Not even by the fact that the guards were sleeping, but because they were sleeping on bed in room where now Giorno could've stayed with you. He glared his friends for a minute and then softened his face

"Well, we will let them sleep then. Let's go to my room" the emperor happily purred and started leading you there, without letting you accept or deny. Well, it's not that you had a choice anyways, so you decided to follow your man.

"We've been dating for a day and you already bring me to your room for the night?" You smirked, to what Giorno started laughing. Finally you heard his real laugh, not the chuckles he always tried to hold.

Then, he suddenly stopped and looked at you dead in the eyes

"And what if my answer is yes?" he said with a completely cold face that made you have goosebumps. Nevertheless, you didn't lose your focus and mastered an answer

"Too bad i am unable to do anyhing because of female reasons" were you thankful to your time of the month or did you actually regret having it now?

"Does it mean that we can't even cuddle?" he fakily pouted, knowing that you would think about more perverted things while his idea was more fluffy

"Do i have a choice?"

"I don't think so"

You two reached his room and layed on his bed. You weren't going to fall asleep soon, yet you were too tired to roam around the room.

He simply took the opportunity to get closer to you in such an intimate pose and context.

"Soooo.... Let's continue the discussion we had at the fair" you said to what your boyfriend smiled and nodded

"You really really had no one before me?" you sincerely asked

"I'm telling you, i didn't date those who i didn't want to and i've never met someone who i wanted to be closer and more intimate with. Before you" he murmured while looking right at you.

You were getting shy so you decided to glance at the wonderful and clear night sky visibile from the window. He, instead, kept his eyes on your face and body, admiring your beauty, curves and features

"And why am i your ideal? You didn't know me for so long, how did you understand i was the one?" You asked again

"If you're so sceptic about this then why did you accept being my girlfriend?" he tried to change topic, but you weren't giving up

"Answer my question first" you said, turning your head back at him with a slight smirk

After a bit of silence, Giorno decided to finally answer

"I don't know why. I just felt it. As soon as i saw you i felt what i've never felt in my life, i fell in love with you at first sight. I'd gladly get to know you better if that is the problem for you, but i'd prefer to do it while being in a relationship with you. I don't want anyone else to try some advances with you..." he said, the last part being a bit more of a whisper, as if he was talking to himself

"Anyways, why did you agree to date me? Do you really like me or are you just doing me a favour?" He asked, now with sadder eyes, as if you actually dated him just because he was of higher status

"I don't know too... I just like you. You're so kind and gentle with me, you spend time with me and you treat me like a princess. And you're also very handsome" you spoke, but it felt as if your heart was speaking instead of your brain and when you realised the amount of compliments you made, you felt yourself getting hotter by each second.

But Giorno didn't laugh at you, didn't smirk...

He cupped your face, looked at you with the same expression he had while confessing at the fair and said

"I- I already love you Y/N"

Afterwards, he kissed your forehead and hugged you tightly, while stroking your hair.

You hugged him back, putting one of your legs in between of his two legs and he then put a hand of his on your waist, pulling you closer. That way you two were tangled together, yet both of you were also very comfortbale.

Slowly, you felt all your worries vanish from your mind. The warm body of your boyfriend was working as an anti-stress for you. Finally you truly felt protected, with Giorno by your side. That way, you started dozing off, but before you decided to thank your man in a different way.

You moved your body closer, looked up to see his sleepy eyes wondering what you were doing, then you softly smiled at him and gave him a smooch on the cheek. It endend up being much closer to the mouth than you expected, but nobody of you was minding such thing. Then, you purred into his ear a soft 'goodnight, love' and moved back to your previous position.

Meanwhile, your boyfriend was screaming internally, out of happiness obviously. He was feeling so elated and joyous, the love of his life being so close to him, loving him back and not running away from him. He was feeling like a real emperor, as if he has conquered the whole world. For him, he did: you were his world and he conquered your heart.

He hugged you even more tightly and never let go of you.

That night, he felt at peace.
