The next day

You woke up by the sound of loud and quick knocking on your doors.

"What the hell do people want from me in the morning?" You thought as you left to see who was disturbing your sleep

"Hey Y/N, finally. We're ready to go" Bruno said as soon as you opened the doors

"What are you talking about, where do you want me to go in the morning?" You grumpily answered, confusing your new friend

"Morning? It's almost past lunch time, so hurry up. I'll be waiting for you at the end of the corridor with the others" Bruno told you as you tried to regain some kind of sense of time and space.

Nevertheless, you picked some clothes and started doing your 'morning' routine as quickly as possible.

After a few minutes, you left the room and went to where the group was waiting for you. There you met your guards, Narancia and Guido, together with Bruno and Fugo.

They all weaved to you as Narancia approached you

"Hi Y/N! This guy is Fugo, he usually works with Bruno. I talked to you about him, remember?" He said as Fugo stretched his hand to you

"Nice to meet you, i'm Fugo" he smilingly yet awkwardly said

"Nice to meet you too" you smiled back

"Now we only need to wait for Leone" Bruno said out loud

"There is no need, i'm already here. Sorry for being late" a very tall man appeared and stood behind you, waiting for you to turn around. As soon as you did he stretched a hand to you

"Leone Abbacchio" he greeted without any emotion

"Y/N Y/L" you said a bit concerned. Comparing to the other guards, Abbacchio wasn't as friendly

"Well, since we're all here let's go to the place" Fugo said and you all headed to a tavern, not the one you've been to with your guards and Giorno

"Ok so" Bruno started talking "from what i've understood Giorno killed Jack and didn't want anyone but the present ones to know. As we recall, the only ones aware of what happened were me, Leone and Fugo. Narancia and Guido didn't even know about Jack's disappearance, while Y/N noticed and Giorno lied to her" he said. "What might be the reason?"

"Maybe Jack knew or saw something he shouldn't have known" Narancia suggested, but Fugo shrugged his idea off

"I don't think so. They were talking about inviting Y/N to the city so it must be something that involves Y/N" he said

Meanwhile, you were carefully listening to the heated discussion, but had no idea of what to say. Jack's death was basically almost your fault, he died because of you. And most importantly you didn't do anything to make it happen, you couldn't even imagine that your presence could cause something like that.

The only guard who wasn't speaking was Abbacchio, that was eyeing you up and down with a slightly disgusted face. He was 100% suspecting you, for him you were the cause of a sudden wave of madness that hit Giorno.

Suddenly, he spoke

"Y/N, why are you so silent? Say something since you've been quite close to Giorno recently. You should know him well by now" he harshly said, gaining some looks from Narancia and Bruno who certainly didn't like his tone with you. The other two guards just awkwardly looked away, acknowledging the pressured and heavy atmosphere that has been created.

"I think you should talk as well since you've been his guard for much longer time than i've been with him. You certainly know him better than me." You retorted, too annoyed to let some boy accuse you like that in front of everyone. What if he was the reason? Usually the bad guys are the first to accuse others in their crimes.

"How dare you little-" Abbacchio was interrupted by a furious Bruno

"Okok stop it. She has no fault in this business so calm down and watch your mouth. She did nothing to you" he said, to what you huffed with satisfaction while Abbacchio just hissed at you

The result of the discussion wasn't that great. You all came up with some theories here and there, but all of them had a key missing, they were all not logical at all. But what was logical in what the emperor did? Could it be that he simply got rid of Jack because he wanted?

You didn't know.

After a few hours you all decided to head back to the mansion, in order not to be too suspicious in front of everyone's eyes, including Giorno's. The whole situation, the hang out between his closest guards and the newbie from future was rather... strange and could lead to something unpredictable, so in order not to get the emperor suspicious of the whole group you all decided to hurry up.

During the walk your discussion continued but then it ended up in the guards conversating about mundane stuff.

Then, Fugo came closer to you and started talking, after seeing that you were left alone since you had no experience of what the others were talking about and most probably you didn't even care about that stuff

"Hey, are you ok?" He asked, gaining your attention

"Yes, thank you. Why? You answered a bit confused

"Well, Leone was rather harsh with you. He is like this all the time with new people, but trust me, he probably didn't mean to sound that rude" Fugo tried to excuse his friend, but you didn't care much

"Hm, it doesn't matter for me. If he wants to suspect me, than he can continue as long as he doesn't bother me anymore. I know that i didn't do anything to Giorno and that i'm telling the truth, so i have nothing to be worried about" you proudly and confidently answered, to what Fugo nodded

"I believe you Y/N. I can see that you're a good person" he said "and also pretty" he silently murmured, almost whispering

"What?"

"I said he's just petty. Leone, he is petty with newbies as i said" he immediately answered without batting an eye

"Ohh ok. Yeah i can see that. Anyways, thank you Fugo. I feel better now" you told him as you were almost going to separate ways, since he needed to go to a different part of the mansion.

"Of course, don't mention it. See you later then" he said and weaved

"See you" you told him and then continued to saying goodbye to all the guards that weren't going your way, even to Abbacchio, which just did a weird hand gesture to you. You weren't sure whether he weaved or told you to shut it.

Narancia and Mista were called by some servants, so you were left alone with Bruno again. While you two went to your room, the guard started talking

"Don't mind Leone, he's just a bit nervous these days. I'm sure he doesn't really think that" he said, excusing his friend similarly to Fugo

"Meh, he can think whatever he wants. I'm not guilty and it's the truth" you said as you opened the door.

"I know that, we all do. I just want to know what happened to Giorno, i've never seen him so enraged" Bruno continued talking, but you hurriedly shushed him as you saw the emperor getting closer to you. When Bruno turned around and saw the blond, you both greeted him as he stopped in front of the two of you.

"Good evening everyone. Spilling some gossip?" Giorno asked while eyeing you two, but as response he just got some failed attempts to laugh the situation off. To not make things worse, you decided to tell them you were tired and to go to your room. That way you wouldn't have to lie to your boyfriend, you didn't want anyone to be hurt (both physically and mentally).

As you said goodbye to both guys and closed the doors, you immediately rushed farther from that part of the room, not really wanting to hear their conversation.

As you left to mind your business, Giorno eyes Bruno and started talking again

"So? You got something to tell me?" He started and the guard just shrugged it off saying that today was a very calm day and nothing special happened.

"I see. If you don't want to talk about it here, we can go to my room and discuss it" the blond said with a lower tone as his face started frowning. He then started walking, but Bruno wasn't following.

"But i still have to guard her" the guard said, clearly knowing that his friend was having a wave of madness once again. He saw it from his face.

"It won't be a long talk if the day was actually as calm as you say. So? Follow me.... It's an order if you didn't get it"
