《[⚕️] My goddess from the future || Giorno Giovanna》Chapter IX

Earlier that day
You woke up in the middle of the night because of the big anxiety that enveloped you after knowing that you'll collaborate with an astrologer. It's not that you were afraid of the collaboration itself, you just weren't sure whether you would answer to all the questions. Sure thing, thanks to the new modern technologies of the 21st century, you already knew much more stuff than them; we can say you were light years ahead comparing to them.
But would you be able to remember everything? And most importantly, will you remember correctly? A lot of teens in the contemporary world knew things partially, mostly because some subjects weren't interesting to them or just because they didn't study. What if you were actually one of them? Because you couldn't remember anything, it felt as the usual emptiness before tests and interrogations. Or maybe it was just the typical sign of anxiety and lack of sleep...
You missed your home, you missed your family, you missed your friends... You missed your old life. This reality was really interesting, but you were not ready for it.. not ready at all. You wanted to go home, back to your world. Back to your routine, to your habits.
You missed the new age and it was really difficult to get used to the "new" place you found yourself in.
You slightly started crying yourself to sleep, all that was needed was rest and time. It was an important day and you had to get some sleep and relax as much as you could, because now a lot of inventions and discoveries could depend on you.
Slowly, you started dozing off until you ended up in a deep slumber, mind clear from pessimistic and nostalgic thoughts.
✧ ✯ ✧ ✯
"Hey Y/N, it's time to wake up!" You opened your eyes only to see a sleepy Mista stroking your hair while waking you up.

"Wow.... You're like my mom" you laughed off, standing up from your bed and sharing a smile with the boy
"Narancia will bring you some new clothes since you are going undercover again. Good luck!" He said and left the room, leaving you alone once again
"Let's just do it and never think about it again" you sighed to yourself, getting ready to feel awkward and embarrassed for any future fail and memory loss. Very pessimistic of you, but you tried to keep a smile on your face nonetheless.
"Hey beauty, i brought some clothes! Hope you like them! Giorno is waiting for you in his room, so as soon as you finish changing i will escort you there" Narancia entered the room as a ray of sunshine, lightening up the mood and waking you up a little more from your daydreams with the powerful and loud voice of his.
"I see. Thank you, i'll se you in a few minutes" you told him and he left
You clothes were pretty different from your normal ones in this universe. Obviously, since you were going without guards you had to be the least recognizeable and noticeable you could. That's way you had some normal, lower class clothes and a brown coat to hide your face from everyone's view.
When you left the room, Narancia accompanied you to another room right as he said. There you met other two guards who you knew were Fugo and Bruno. Mista and Narancia talked about them a lot, but the latter still presented them to you.
"These are Fugo and Bruno" the boy said while pointing at the other two guards "they have the role of personal guards of the Emperor, basically us but instead of guarding girls they guard Giorno" Narancia finished as he sticked a tongue to his friends.
"Instead of guarding girls? So i was not the first one?" You thought, a little bit disappointed and demoralized.

"Of course i wasn't the first one, what the hell was i even expecting? He must've had tons of other girls, emperor things" You continued thinking until the guards speak up
" Greetings! Giorno is waiting inside" the man with black hair, Bruno, said as he opened the door to let you enter
"Good morning, Giorno" you said as the door closed, still trying to keep a smile on your face. Your mood was getting worse and worse, but you didn't want to show it to anyone. There was more important stuff to think about, your feelings could wait
"Oh, good morning Y/N! Ready for today? I'm having really high hopes!" he said, to what you simply nodded
"Let's go, we can have breakfast in the carriage" as Giorno said this, the guards opened the doors and you two left together, going towards the least open exit of the mansion so you won't be noticed.
Giorno noticed that something was wrong, but he preferred to wait a bit before asking you. His heart ached to see you sad, it hurted even more to know that you tried to hide it from him. Why would you do that? You could tell him everything and he would help, he was the emperor after all!
"What studies are most useful for you?" You asked to break the silence
"Well, anything you know is already important. I think it will be very interesting if you told the astrologer a bit about the life in future and about you. There is still a small chance we can do something from here, at least we'll try to understand what happened with the te..tel.. telaport"
"Teleport"
"Yes that. Anyway, how do you like it here so far?" Giorno asked in hope to change the subject after his fail with the word.
You knew it wasn't his fault, it was something completely knew and it was obvious that something similar would happend with these "new words", even tho you still found it pretty funny.
"Oh.. it's lovely here, you have a good life. But i'd like to be honest with you, i still miss my home, not because i dislike my stay here, not at all. I'm just not used to living like that, especially since it all happened all of a sudden. I didn't expect all of this i guess" you answered, honesty ringing out of your lips and clearly displeased the blond's ears.
"But i'm glad this empire is in the hands of such a good emperor as you, you're doing an amazing job. I do like it, really" you continued after noticing Giorno's confused face.
You certainly didn't want to cause problems with your words, you already started regretting being honest.
"Oh don't worry dear. I understand. If you have any kind of trouble or if thoughts are troubling your sleep, don't hesitate to come talk to me" he smirked.
How did he know? Or was it a coincidence? You panicked internally, did he spy on you? Are you in trouble? So many questions fogged your mind, yet his smile was so reassuring and kind.. you were clearly confused again. You tried to keep your cool, simply thanking the guy and faking your disinterest in these words that affected you more than they should've.
"She can't be serious, why does she want to go home? To leave me? Hasn't she understood yet? She's mine, i'm hers. This place is her, these people are her. And yet, she wants to leave? Something is not right" meanwhile the blond thought
Two confused and scared souls in one carriage, one worrying about the other's intents.
This would be a very long ride
"Oh by the way Giorno, have you seen Jack? I didn't hear from him lately"
