《Love You Lots! Vento Aureo x reader》26- Note To Self: Never Take Planes.

You were seated in front of Trish on the plane while Bruno and Narancia checked on Abbacchio, who was setting up the plane to fly to Sardinia. Mista and Giorno were outside keeping watch outside the plane. You looked out the window with your leg sticking out into the isle. Trish looked at wound on your leg that you hadn't noticed.
"Upfront to the left, something's coming!" You heard Narancia exclaim, "Something's headed our way Mista!"
You couldn't hear Mista, but you could definitely hear the sounds of gunshots. You assumed that Mista had taken care of whoever or whatever was approaching the plane and went back to looking out the window.
The engines revved up as Narancia shouted to the other two who were outside.
---
As the plane started to take off, you could feel your stomach churn, not from anxiety or anything, but from the plane itself. You groaned and leaned back in your seat, putting an arm over your eyes.
"Are you alright Y/N?" Bruno asked concerned.
"Y-Yeah just a little-" You lurched forward in your seat, "-air sickness..."
"Ah, well then you should probably get some rest. I'll wake you up when we get there." Bruno smiled as you leaned back in your chair.
"Thank's Bruno..." You smiled as your sunglasses fell onto your eyes while you drifted off to sleep.
"Bruno?" Mista chirped, prompting Bruno to turn to him, "Since when were you on a first name basis capo?"
Mista's teasing caused the bob-cut man's ears to lightly heat up before he coughed to hide it.
"That's none of your concern Mista." Bruno stated in an authoritative manner.
"Maybe I'll ask her to call me by my first name." Mista fantasized.
"Like she would call you by your first name." Fugo grumbled.

"Oh? Are you jealous she doesn't call you by your first name Mr. grumpy pants?" Mista teased.
"I AM NOT-" Fugo yelled before being loudly shushed by Trish.
"Do you two want to wake her up?" The pink haired girl gestured to Y/N's sleeping form.
The two childish men shook their heads as Trish looked back out her window.
"I wonder if my father- No your boss might've guessed I'd go to Sardinia to find out about the past."
"Former." Bruno stated softly, causing Trish to look at him, "Our former boss. I'm sure the thought crossed his mind. That's why we need to find out about the boss' past as soon as possible. I figure that when he met your mother in Sardinia, he wasn't a gangster who needed to hide his identity yet. He was just an ordinary young man. He became a gangster after that. He must have some kind of identity. The boss' identity from fifteen years ago surely exists. As his daughter, you should be able to track it down. something, anything... Do you remember anything more detailed from your mother's stories of the past?"
"Cala di volpe." Trish staed as she looked out the window.
"Cala di volpe... The fox's tail?" Bruno questioned as Trish turned to face him.
"It's a resort located in a beautiful emerald green coastal area." Trish continued, "My mother mentioned that she met my father there while on vacation. She also mentioned that my father grew up in Sardinia. Apparently, he spoke with a dialect. But then he disappeared, and my mother never found out more than that... Not even his name. I'm not even sure what I should look for. Besides, this is all just from my mother's reminiscing."
Bruno noticed the remorseful and solemn look on the girl's face. Remembering her mother had died soon before she was handed over into the gang's custody.

"You're the boss' only living relative." He stated, "That's why he's trying to eliminate you. Cala di volpe..."
Bruno paused and looked forwards.
"That means we have our destination." Bucciarati stated matter-of-factly.
---
While Bruno was talking to Trish, Mista and Giorno were doing something up by one of the miniature refrigerators.
Bucciarati wasn't really paying attention to what was happening, more focused on his own thoughts. When their volume increased, it snapped Bruno out of his thoughts.
"You two, is something wrong?" He asked, standing up.
Everyone, except Y/N, gathered around the small freezer. They stared at the fingers that were almost all bone.
"Giorno, you confirmed that there weren't any signs of life on this plane." Bruno stated, "But Mista is saying it looked like those fingers increased from three to four. Is there any life energy in those fingers?"
Giorno used his Golden Experience to punch the floor, sending plants growing over the finger scraps.
"They're just bones. They have no life." Giorno reported, "If these bones had any sign of life or were a stand, plant life from Golden Experience's powers wouldn't grow from them."
"It freaked me out because it looked like there was one more, so I could've just been seeing things..." Mista said, still holding his gun, "But there's still something really off about this!"
"Indeed." Bruno agreed, "I'm not sure how or why, but someone put these in here on purpose. Let's throw these outside."
"But opening the door is dangerous!" Fugo exclaimed, "We'd all get blown away!"
"Yeah the difference in air pressure would suck us all out!" Narancia chimed in.
"Oh you know that but you can't do your math?" Fugo remarked.
"Now's not the time Fugo." Mista scolded.
"Everyone hang onto something." Bucciarati commanded.
Everyone grabbed onto something as they watched Bucciarati.
"Sticky Fingers!" Bruno used his stand to create a small zipper while everyone freaked out.
"I guess you didn't need to hang on after all." He said as he stood up with his hand out.
Mista and Narancia shook like leaves, still processing what happened.
Bruno knew exactly what he did. You've traumatized your children Bruno Bucciarati.
Everyone sighed in relief, feeling quite stupid.
The zipper disappeared after Bruno dumped the fingers out of the plane.
"Anything else out of the ordinary?" Bruno asked, "Check every inch of this plane.
---
Bucciarati was surprised Y/N slept through all that, though when he checked on her he noticed the cold sweat pouring down her face. She must have really bad air sickness, that's why she was able to stay asleep. Bruno gently pat Y/N's hair, her shifting with almost a grimace on her sleeping face, he would make a note to not take her on planes unless necessary.

The Exodus Project
This is the original version of Origin before I rewrote it. It's much more simpler, some names and personalities are a little different. THere's nowhere near as much back story or character development/interaction. But the story is essentially at the end of book one. I wrote this 15 odd years ago, and with a bit of polish it doesn't look too bad. The story like Origin is about a group of college students who find a ship that is the last remnant of an ancient human space faring civilisation, they fix her up and go back into space. Along they way they'll meet alot of aliens, religious fundamentalists and conmen.
