The stand's fist halted just before it hit your face, due to the sound of echoing footsteps.
"Footsteps... Someone outside the mirror is running." The brown haired man said as you opened your eyes, "Does that mean your friends decided to abandon you two so that they could go get something?!"
The sound of footsteps rounded the corner, they seemed like pretty long strides so you assumed it was Abbacchio.
"They're heading toward the dog mosaic." The red-eyed man commented and smirked, "That settles it. Fugo, Y/N, you two are basically done for already. I'm going to get whatever that thing is first!"
The man pointed to the two of you before running off.
You would have said something if you could, luckily Fugo spoke up for you.
"W-Wait, you bastard!" Fugo yelled while trying to get up and go after him, inevitably failing and falling face first onto the ground.
You then tried going after him, only to have your body collapse under you.
"You're a dumbass, you shouldn't have taken all those hits." Fugo growled angrily at you.
"Well you and the rest of the gang are my friends now right? That means I'd protect you no matter what." You said with a pained smile and labored breathing.
"...Dumbass." Fugo sighed.
Abbacchio paused his running for a moment as he saw the dog mosaic they were supposed to find the key at. He then proceeded to use his long-ass legs to just step over the guardrail. Abbacchio speed-walked towards his destination with great haste.
"Where is it? Where's the key?" Abbacchio said to himself as he looked around until he spotted something shiny in a crack.
"There it is. That must be it." Abbacchio said as he reached down to grab the gold key with a red gem in the handle.
Abbacchio stopped short as he noticed a strange mirror.
"A mirror?" Abbacchio questioned to himself, "Has that always been there?" Abbacchio then saw a strange man running towards him in the mirror.
"What is that? A key?" The strange man asked.
Abbacchio turned to see where the man was, but there was nothing there.
"What?" Abbacchio said in confusion.
"I see." The pony tail man said, "I guess I'll just have to take that key from you."
"That's... It couldn't be..." Abbacchio gaped at the mirror.
"Now that you've seen me," The man said as he pointed at Abbacchio while pulling out his stand, "You're finished too!"
The stand reached through the mirror to grab Abbacchio.
"Sh-Shit!" Abbacchio said as he kicked the mirror away before the stand could grab him, successfully shattering the mirror.

"Damn it..." Abbacchio cursed, "I'm starting to understand the enemy's ability. So he's inside the mirror... Assuming that's even possible." Abbacchio said as he was now half laying on the ground.
'Fugo and Y/N must've been dragged into the mirror and disappeared,' Abbacchio thought, 'separating them from their stands.'
Abbacchio then reached down toward the key.
'Regardless, right now, I need to to grab that key!' Abbacchio thought as he leaped the extra distance.
Right before he could grab the key, the enemy stand had grabbed his arm, and was pulling him in.
"Shattering the mirror actually worked in my favor, Abbacchio." The man (in the mirror) pointed out, "Anything reflective becomes an entrance to this world. Now that it's in shards, I have even more entrances to grab you from!" The man rambled on as he slowly pulled Abbacchio into the mirror world by his arm.
"And I'll give you, and only you, permission to come in the mirror!" The rat man concluded as he half-way pulled Abbacchio into the mirror.
"There! I've brought you in." The brown-haired man said, giving us all the play-by-play, "I'll be taking that key too!"
The man would've continued on his rant had 'Abbacchio' not grabbed his stands throat and started choking him.
"Wh-What?!" The man choked out, "O-Only a stand can grab the neck of another stand!"
"There's no way you could grab Man In The Mirror's neck when I'm the one who dragged you in here!"
"Shattering the mirror didn't actually help in your favor!" Abbacchio declared, "It just means the space you can look out from became smaller! You couldn't see who you dragged in here, could you?"
The man heard the sound of a recording ending as he notice the time screen on Abbacchio's forehead.
"You gave permission..." 'Abbacchio started, "For just me to enter?!" 'Abbacchio' looked up to reveal to the man Moody Blue's eyes.
"Th-That's..." The man choked as Moody Blues changed back into his original form.
"Grazie! I'll happily get dragged in!" Abbacchio, who was talking through Moody Blues, announced.
"Moody Blues!" Abbacchio yelled as he proceeded to punch the shit out of the man, sending him flying with blood coming from his nose and mouth until he hit a wall.
Abbacchio smirked as he watched the event through a mirror shard.
"Inside the mirror..." Abbacchio started, "So it's a world where everything's reversed. Of course we couldn't know. There's no way we could comprehend this ability until we were actually attacked. Fugo and Y/N must be in here here too." Moody Blues started walking towards the man who was still slumped against the wall.

"So, how do we get out of here?" Abbacchio questioned, "If I have to kill you to get out of here, that's fine. That's why I sent Moody Blues in there!"
"The ability to transform into others..." The man said as he started getting up from the ground, "Well, shit. You got me."
The man pulled out his stand suddenly, trying to sweep Moody Blues off it's feet, only to get slammed into the ground by Moody Blue's fist. Moody Blues then proceeded to stomp Man In The Mirror's head into the ground, causing the strange man to call back his stand. Moody Blues and Abbacchio looked over to where the rat man was.
"Looks like your stand itself isn't that strong." Abbacchio commented, "So, what? Can it only defeat powerless humans? Well, what are you waiting for? Get on your feet and come at me!" Moody Blues put one hand on it's hip and gestured for the man to come forward with his other hand.
The man started slowly getting up as he started talking.
"Listen up... Like I already said at the start, you're already done for." The man said, "I must say, I was a little surprised when it was your stand that came in, but that doesn't change a thing!"
--Time-skip brought to you by my hands cramping--
The man started laughing around the corner as Abbacchio dragged himself that had been fused with Moody Blues across the ground.
"Hey, Abbacchio." The man sneered, "Can you even imagine what's going on over here?"
The man backed up so he could stare at Abbacchio.
"You sure have a loyal companion." The man gibed as Abbacchio gasped.
'Giorno you fuck nugget!' Abbacchio cured Giorno in his thoughts.
"After you worked so hard to deliver the key..." The man continued with a wide grin, "What do you think is going on over here?" The man tilted the mirror shard to show Giorno just holding the key, "Not a damn thing! That brat's not running away at all! Kinda reminds me of the girl, though I don't know if she could run."
The man laughed at his own remarks.
"He looks like he doesn't have a clue what's going on!" The man continued on track after his little tangent and laughed. Abbacchio grimaced before yelling.
"Giorno! Get the hell out of here!" Abbacchio yelled, "Take the key and run!"
He won't hear you when you're screaming inside this mirror!" The man exclaimed.
"Sh-Shit..." Abbacchio cursed and lowered his head in defeat.
"Now then, there are two possible actions I could take." The man stated as if that was a good thing, "First is disposing of Giorno after I get the key." The man raised up the mirror shard, "Second is slitting Giorno's throat first, then safely retrieving the key."
"Let's see..." The man said looking back at Abbacchio with a growing smirk, "I guess I'll slit Giorno's throat first!"
--Time skip brought to you by my weak-ass wrists--
After the man had been defeated by Purple Haze, you were spit out of the mirror world. You had gone unconscious after your talk with Fugo, but you woke up at the sound of birds chirping in the distance.
"Damn it Giorno..." You turned your head to see Abbacchio holding his bleeding wrist stump.
"I guess we're both in pretty bad conditions, huh?" You said with a pained grunt as you managed to sit up against the wall.
"Y/N?" Abbacchio said through gritted teeth, "How'd you get so beat up?"
"Haha... Well I was kinda a dumbass and took hits for Fugo since I assumed his stand was more useful than mine." You chuckled dryly.
"That was a very dumbass move..." Abbacchio started, "but a respectful one at that. Say what do you want to be when you're older, you don't seem like the type who would willingly join a gang.
"Well I want to be a police officer when I graduate." You said, the talking was helping to distract from the pain.
"A police officer?" Abbacchio questioned with slight shock in his voice.
"Yeah, I just want to help people and help Naples as a whole." You painfully smiled.
"I was like that when I was younger..." Abbacchio lamented.
"You were?" You questioned as if asking him to continue.
"I was actually a police officer, and just like you, I had good intentions. Over time people wore down me, and I ended up taking a bribe. And eventually, it lead to someone else's death." Abbacchio said with pain in his voice, not just from his bleeding wrist.
"Just promise me this ok?" Abbacchio continued as you nodded, "Stay on that stubborn horse of yours, keep your morals in check and learn from my mistake. You don't want your past weighing on you like mine weighs on me."
"I won't Abbacchio, I promise." You said with a confident smile, "I'll fulfill my dream no matter what."Abbacchio chuckled at your innocent words.
"Yeah, stay just the way you are, don't ever change."

Empress' Evolution
The bright red light of the flames swallowed her vision but soon that red light transformed into a blue hue and she was dragged into that light. ‘What’s happening?’ It was too bright and she was forced to close her eyes, she was blinded — even though she was already dead. After being pulled into the light she began to feel annoyed as her skin was irritated by some kind of rough sand. By the time she opened her eyes. She could see the full view of the sky. It was blue and there were clouds scattered about. ‘Ugh, is this Hell?’ She stated as she rubbed her head with her fluffy and furry ‘hand’. ‘Furry?’ She looked at her ‘hands’ and her mouth opened wide. Her hands had become soft and fluffy paws of a white-furred beast with purple spots. ‘What the hell?’ She touched her face with her paws and confirmed that it too did not belong to a human. Below, she felt something was moving, she can tell as if it was another limb connected to her. ‘Don’t tell me!’ Turning her head around, she found a seven-inch tail sticking out behind. ‘Phew!’ She felt relieved that it wasn’t what she thought it was. “These soft and paws, this cuddly fluffy hair, this cute tail — ah shit, did I become a beast after my death or have I been dreaming of being human as a beast all this time? If it is the latter that is one long and realistic dream.” === [It’s the former, stupid *] === Said a woman’s voice from in her head. === As always thank you for reading, also the image in the cover is not mine, I found it on Pinterest and thought it was cool and suitable. All credits got to the illustrator. Also, this is a new type of story that I have not read about yet. Basically I am writing an evolution novel without prior knowledge so I don't really know what is considered cliche in this genre.
