《Metanoia》Chapter 6

You walked outside your dorm dressed in a black turtleneck shirt with a white dress shirt over it with a black pleated skirt.
You closed your door and locked it, you slipped your keys into your black purse which held your phone, some cash, your keys, a small note pad, and a pen, and finally some spare pads and tampons in case you or another lady need one.
As you walked down the hall you checked the time on your watch. It was 7:00 and your favorite cafe had opened thirty minutes ago.
A good cup of coffee will clear my mind.
You smiled while feeling optimistic. You had gotten out of the gang mess, you could continue school, and everything was almost back to normal. The sun was shining and there were fluffy clouds in the sky. You took your time walking to the cafe to enjoy the morning temperature and atmosphere.
You took a deep breath in and let it out freely, feeling calmer. It felt as if a huge weight had been taken off your shoulders.
You stepped into the cafe casually and smiled at the staff which led you to sit at a table for two. You ordered a cappuccino and a slice of f/f cake (favorite flavor) and you waited for your coffee and cake. Your mind was occupied with thoughts of what to do with the rest of your day after your classes.
Hm, the aquarium sounds nice, last week the professor was talking about the winner of the essay on marine creatures who would get to go to Capri to study with a science lab for some days. Maybe I would win that and get to go. That would be nice, get away from the weird things that have been happening lately.
A loud scream and some yelling came from the table beside you. A blond-haired boy slammed a boy with raven hair's head into the table. What looked like blood and tea flew into the air as his head made contact with the wooden surface.

Your eyes widened as you watched the scene. The scene was so loud no matter how hard you tried to ignore it you couldn't.
"You shit for brains!"
The boy brought out a knife and held it to the blond's throat which scared you greatly. Were you about to witness a murder? In your favorite cafe?
"What the hell are you guys doing?!"
A man shouted making you jump, the waiter set your coffee and cake down. You smiled weakly at them and tried to calm down and act like you hadn't seen anything. Your hands were shaking as you brought a piece of cake up to your lips.
"You're bothering the other customers!"
He gestured to you specifically and they all looked in your direction. Seeing your shaking form. You gave them a shaky smile as if to say it was ok but failed greatly.
"Ah sorry about that baby, why don't I make it up to you?"
A boy who wore a hat with an arrow on it winked to you making you blush and bring the coffee up to your lips. That was bold of him.
"I-It's fine..."
You muttered softly and looked away, a blush from embarrassment still present on your face. Bringing the warm hot cup of coffee back up to your lips.
"This is the new member joining I told you about yesterday, let me introduce you to-"
You sipped your coffee, enjoying the feeling of the warm liquid flow down your throat and you savored the taste. It had a soothing effect on you, one that never failed to calm you.
"Giorno Giovanna."
Your eyes widened and you choked on your coffee loudly. Catching the attention of the table and the two men standing.
You spat out some coffee and grabbed a napkin, trying to soak up the liquid quickly before it stained.

"S-Sorry excuse me."
You fumbled with the napkins, grabbing way too many and rushed the cleanup job, not doing it very well. You were just trying to clean up, pay, and leave as fast as you could.
"Y/n?"
You froze when you heard his smooth voice, cursing yourself so enjoying the sound of it.
"Y/n are you ok? Here let me help you."
You turned at looked at Giorno and gave him a hard look as he walked towards your table. You concluded that he was meeting his gang members who you were sitting next to. You had breakfast or almost had breakfast next to a table of criminals.
"I'm fine Giorno, thank you for your concern."
He stopped walking and you slammed the money on the table. Your voice was firm as you spoke. You sped walked out of the cafe to get away from him and the gang. You didn't know who they were but now that you knew what they were you wanted to keep your distance. They would just cause more trouble. Unwanted trouble.
You walked down the street briskly and check the time. You had to be in class soon and they would be announcing who won the trip to Capri. Now more than ever you were begging to win that trip and leave for a few days.
You made it to class and walked in just as it was about to start. You had your pen and a small note pad you would take notes in and mark down the homework.
Throughout the lesson, you forgot all about what had happened in the morning and became intrigued by the number of different species of whales and seals.
"Alright class, before our lesson for today ends I'll be sharing the winner of the essay competition. As you know the winner will be getting to go to Capri and study with some renowned marine biologists. What you study is up to them and so will the time. The boat leaves tomorrow morning at 7:00 exact-. "
"Just say the name already!"
An impatient boy in the back of the class got fed up and interrupted the teacher, some of the class laughed and giggled. The professor glared at the student and wrote something down on his clipboard making the student groan.
"Alright. The winner is Y/n l/n, for her marvelous essay on cuttlefish."
A large grin spread on your lips. It was impossible not to smile.
Finally, things are looking up! Not only will I be getting away from here for a while, but I'll be working with real marine biologists and get to shadow their careers!
"Congratulations Y/n!"
"Yeah, you've earned it!"
"Haha if you didn't win then I'd help you sneak onto the boat."
You smiled at your classmates who were congratulating you and thanked them as they wished you luck in your studies.
"Alright Y/n, your boat leaves tomorrow morning, take this packet. It holds your information and your ticket. I'll excuse you from the rest of your classes for today so you can go pack. Have fun and make your old professor proud!"
You hurried down to the front of the class and took the large yellow envelope package.
"Thank you, sir! I will!"
You raced out of the class and up to your dorm, immediately fishing a suitcase out of your closet and started to pack it up. Stuffing clothes and notebooks to take notes in. Pens and pencils, along with the other needs, cash, your phone, toiletries.
How amazing is this?

I took his hand and gasped at the delicious shockwaves traveling up my arm. He pulled me closer to him, so I was standing in between his legs. I wasn't sure what to say, so I ran my fingers through his hair, noticing for the first time the bits of red streaked through the dark brown, and smiled when he growled in delight. He leaned his forehead down, so it was resting on my belly and wrapped his arms around my back. "We should talk about this." He whispered with his head still on my stomach. I nearly didn't hear him. I was too focused on the sparks tingling through my arms as I caressed his back and continued my gentle assault through his hair."Ok. What should we talk about?" He took a deep breath and I watched as his shoulders slumped."I'll understand if you reject me. No one wants a defective mate."Cover made by @ViaAlyssaNicole
