Having been raised above the buildings, your eyes scanned the streets quickly falling upon a section where blue vapor or clouds had formed, similar to that of a smoke bomb. It was closer towards the water that the blue vapor seemed to have begun spreading out more.
They must've been there.
"Alright Valkyrie, don't fail me now because if we crash into anything it's your fault." Hoping that the stand could control the wings like something similar to autopilot, you were filled with a feeling of relief as they pushed forward making a dive straight for the blue haze. Your eyes could barely make out what was happening but once they settled on a transparent dark haired man did they narrow determinedly.
As the area grew closer and closer you could feel yourself begin to second guess if the plan of 'mending the two' would actually work. Sure mending injuries and such was not a problem, but a soul wasn't something you could touch and who's to say it wouldn't just slip through your fingers like sand in an hourglass.
But, there was of course a part of you that fought that doubt with every fiber of your being, determination was a strong feeling and if it was strong enough anything was possible.
Knowing what you had to do some of the golden sand from behind snaked its way around your arm, building itself along the tips of your fingers and palm forming what appeared to be a transparent glove. Your hand was extended forward and you could see Bruno's soul emerge from Diavolo's body. The man exchanged a few words before turning away from the group in what you could only assume was a solemn manner. Though that was quickly interrupted as a hand- more specifically your hand- had slammed itself into the center of his back.
Your hand gave off a blinding glow before fading away quickly, the dust surrounding your hand followed along with the soul of the man you were aiming for, disappearing into a thin stream hastily making its way back in the direction of the colosseum.
"(Y/N)!?!" Making contact with the concrete your head whipped back briefly making eye contact with a set of turquoise hues, though before anything could be said your eyes landed along the sharpened head of the arrow. The top bit of which sat an arms length away from you and without much thought you kicked it towards the blond, who in response quickly grasped the item before being engulfed by a plume of blue smoke.

"Take it!"
The pink haired man just adjacent to you let out a yell, fist were clenched and slammed onto the ground as sharp pupil-less hues glared daggers at you, "How dare you!? How dare you have the audacity to come back!?" Diavolo's jaw clenched tightly and you could only be glad that the man was still disoriented from having just gotten his body back. "There's no way...There's no way that I, Diavolo, would lose like this!"
Blinking at the man, you felt astounded that even after losing possession of the arrow he was still aiming for the top. His form moved to sit up and if not for the knowledge of his ability and prior death due to it you would've prevented him from doing so.
"Don't let him get away, Giorno...no matter...what you do..." Although having heard your voice Trish was hesitant to believe her own ears. It was as clear as day but she didn't want to get her hopes up and just settled for speaking directly to the blond. "If he gets away, he'll go into hiding. He's planning to run away, Giorno."
Pushing herself up her gaze dragged itself across where the blond was currently shrouded within the thick blue clouds. "I just felt it...he took a step back!"
Biting the inside of your cheek anxiously awaiting for either of the two's next move, your stand stiffened catching the pink haired man rise to his feet snapping his head towards the same cloud Trish was staring at. The wisps each pulled back revealing the blond clutching the arrow tightly in his hand, a strong determined look had coated his expression and his gaze now rivaled Diavolos.
"He's holding the arrow! The one who will control the arrow after Requiem...is Giorno!" Pushing himself to turn and look at the scene before him Mista's eyes glistened, he had yet to really figure out the rest of the situation but what really mattered was that Diavolo wasn't the one in possession of it.
Diavolo's lips curled into a sharp sneer, his brows were arched down yet no words left him. A sickeningly thick aura surrounded him and before anyone would register it he'd pushed off the ground hastily shortening the distance between himself and Giorno.

"He's coming straight for you!" You knew you were pointing out the obvious but you couldn't help it. This man was too unpredictable for you to even assume what his next moves were going to be, though upon hearing you call out Golden Experience drifted before the blond raising the arrow into the air piercing itself with it.
The two being engulfed quickly by a bright glow emitting from the impact.
"He did it! The one who will go beyond the bower of that arrow is Giorno's Golden Experi-" Trish's excitement was quickly cut off as Diavolo jumped through the air, pink hair flicking around wildly. "No! You're wrong! I thank you, my daughter! Because of your insulting claim that I was going to run, I was able to keep my pride!"
A bad feeling pooled in the pit of your stomach and your eyes darted back towards Giorno seeing that the light had disappeared just as quickly as it appeared. The spot punctured by the arrow now bleed and a hole remained.
"Giorno!" Jumping into action yourself and pushing off the ground, the dust once making up the form of wings slithered over your clothes making its way towards the ground leaving behind pools of the shimmery substance. That of which took on the shape of slants like the starting blocks racers use allowing you to move quicker. Your pants skinned across the harsh ground ripping in the process as you barely caught the blond and his stand falling to the ground.
An uproarious laugh left Diavolo viewing the scene before him, "I'm so glad I didn't run away. So very glad! To be honest, my heart was filled with despair. If my daughter hadn't ridiculed me, I wouldn't have decided to advance on you. And because of that, I saw the premonition of the arrow falling to the ground!" The man's shoes thumped against the ground, victory was now just within his grasp.
Ignoring you as he circled Diavolo continued, "Giorno Giovanna...you weak little newcomer...This means that you weren't a suitable vessel. He's already disappeared, but remember what Polnareff said?"
"The arrow decides who's worthy." Muttering that out in response to the question a malice filled grin stretched out across his lips.
"Precisely that." Looming just behind you, you could feel the boss's eyes burning holes into the back of your head from harboring the blond. "I know I'm repeating myself, but I'm truly glad I didn't run away." King Crimson appeared in the brief pause after his words, the stands fist raising. "You've been rejected by the arrow!" The stands fist seemingly just phased through you throwing the blond out from your protective hold. "You're finished! I, Diavolo, will be king just like I've always been!"
Both Giorno and Golden Experience once again fell to the ground, bloodied and broken. Yet taking a closer look revealed that the two showed something beyond what you would've expected. Instead of Golden Experience's purple eyes bright pink more humane irises sat in its place. The stand itself gave off plumes of steam while the arrow once on the floor slithered up it's arm.
Staring at the two in disbelief Diavolo's eyes followed the arrowhead moving beneath Golden Experience's skin before eventually settling by it's shoulder. King Crimson once again wound back firing a round of attacks on the stand. "Shit! You're finished, Giorno Giovanna!"
Pieces of the stand flew through the air, though what was left behind was just simply an empty shell.
