"Ok, but how are we going to find him? The boss is the type of guy who's gotten rid of any traces of himself." Thinking over Mista's question you raked through your brain for a possible response before Abbacchio beat you to it.
"Trish. There must've been some kind of hint involving Trish. Everyone was after her, and the boss was trying to eliminate her. Right?"
Finishing with your second breadstick and patting your hands together to get rid of any crumbs you nodded towards what was said, "Well Trish is his daughter so maybe there's something we're missing from her side. Like where she was born or her mother or something like that? Maybe even a familial six sense if that makes sense."
"A-About that actually...I don't really want to involve Trish in this anymore...Th-This feeling sucks. Trish doesn't know anything! If she finds out her actual father tried to kill her, she'll be in shock." Narancia stood up from his seat staring straight at Bruno, convern could clearly be heard from his words. "Bucciarati, please! Let's not talk about the boss's identity and stuff like that in front of her."
"There's no need for that, Narancia." Turning your attention towards the seat that was currently occupied by the small shelled animal you could see Trish's pink hair, as she spoke up from the floor. "I've already known that...for a while." Casting her eyes towards the wrist you'd mended back together she rose to her feet, a deep breath being taken as well. "I remembered something when you said he got rid of any trace of himself."
She paused for a brief moment as if to make sure everyone was listening before continuing, "My mother had mentioned that she met my father in Sardinia."

"Sardinia? Isn't that an island a bit aways from here?" Inquiring that you were met with a nod from the girl before she turned off to facing the canal.
"When I was little, my mother told me that they had met while she was vacationing, and he told her he'd be right back...But then he disappeared forever, leaving nothing behind, not even a photo or his name."
"Before he became the boss of the organization...Fifteen years ago..." Coming to that realization Abbacchio added onto his own train of thought, "Then was he born and raised in..."
"I'm not sure about all that, but...Sardinia. His past and true identity should be in Sardinia."
Staring down at Trish Bruno's brows furrowed together. "Why are you telling us that? We might end up killing your father! No, we are determined to defeat him!"
"Regardless of what we're doing it's not like he was much of a father to her anyways. He tried to kill her for god sake." Pointing that out all too quickly you flashed Trish an apologetic look, but she agreed with what you were saying adding her own thoughts. "Defeating him or not isn't my problem. But...I want to know! I want to know who I came from! I'm not about to die before I find that out!"
Bruno's gaze downturned at this and Abbacchio crept up behind the dark haired man, a sort of cheeky smile was stretched out across his face. "Hey, Narancia. Looks like she's way stronger than you thought."
"I could've told you that." Giving a soft laugh at the expression set out among the dark haired teens face, he puffed out some air.
"Fine, whatever." Resting a hand under his chin purple hues stared towards the others. "I was under the impression that Trish was like me, but I guess she already made up her mind."

Wanting to speak in response to what he was mumbling to himself, you figured it wasn't your place. You weren't familiar with what happened in everyone's lives before joining the mafia and it really wasn't your business either.
"I just followed on a whim, so I still don't know if there's any hope in this trip or not."
Humming at what he'd said you shook your head softly, "You followed because you felt that it was the right thing. Nobody can predict the outcome of this trip, but that doesn't mean you have to be so down about it." Taking another breadstick and pulling off a piece, you playfully tossed it towards the dark haired male.
Dropping the spoon he was currently using to stir the soup before him he caught the piece of bread tossed towards him letting out a sigh, "Guess you're right there." Tossing the piece into his mouth after saying that he went to grab his spoon finding that the item in question was missing.
Watching Narancia look around the table for something you raised a brow, "Something wrong?" Your eyes remained on the teen watching him lift his plate followed by looking underneath the table.
"I swear I just had it."
"Had what?"
"My spoon." Realizing that he was just looking for a piece of cutlery you figured it might have been knocked out of sight and opted for handing him the spoon from your set of cutlery. "Thanks."
Gratefully taking the offered cutlery he stirred his soup taking a swig of water right after. Putting his glass down and focusing on stirring his soup he paused feeling some type of resistance. Pulling out the spoon he eyed a clump of metal hanging off the edge, something that looked just like the end of another spoon. Tilting the silverware in hand down and watching the metal bit fall back into the soup, his purple hues narrowed on it before something popped out.
"Narancia, you should finish up before your soup gets cold. We don't know when we'll be able to stop again." Chiming that out, your gaze had ended up focusing on the other seeing them talk amongst one another with Trish, Narancia's next words though did quickly sway your attention back onto him.
"An enemy! There's an enemy nearby!" Stepping away from the table he pointed towards his bowl, the others also heard what was said and quickly honed their attention on the teen. "There's a shark in my soup!"
Aerosmith was quickly summoned and the small plane began firing at the table destroying the bowl sitting before him.
Quickly pushing yourself up and away from the table your eyes darted over the top of it trying to find what exactly Narancia was firing at. You could hear Bruno calling out towards the others while Giorno ducked over snagging the turtle from it's seat.
"Narancia, where are they?" Calling out from your spot crouched behind one of the chairs you could see Mista slide over next to the male, gun in hand and at the ready.
"Inside the soup! They were somehow already in it!" Assuring the two of you that he had spotted an enemy in his soup, both Narancia and Mista leaned down towards where the broken bowl was.
"Where are they now?"
"But they were there! There was something like a shark in my soup! Come on (Y/N), you must've seen it! You were at the table with me." Sending his gaze over to where you were his tone of voice came out pleading, but you could only shake your head.
"Sorry Narancia, but I didn't see anything besides you stirring your soup then yelling about an enemy."

Tales from the Triverse
Tales from the Triverse is part detective drama, part fantasy adventure and part space opera. I’m influenced by the likes of Iain M Banks, Isaac Asimov and ND Stevenson and work including The Wire and Gotham Central. It begins with an incident two hundred years ago which crashed three parallel universes together. Portals open up in 18th century London, sending England down a very different path. We pick up events in the 1970s, with the Metropolitan Police having established a new department to handle portal-related criminal activity. The story is about intolerance, immigration, multiculturalism and power. It’s about what happens when incompatible viewpoints are weaponised to seed discontent, and the efforts of some to create a fairer world. In the tradition of the best science fiction, fantasy and crime fiction, I’m using the setting to examine themes that matter to me in the real world. Who is it for?If you like science fiction or fantasy, or a mix of both, this is for you. It’s my first foray into crime fiction, but I hope if you’re a fan that you’ll enjoy yourself - especially if you’re looking for something a bit different. I write fiction that is optimistic, progressive and empathetic. Bad things can happen to good people in the stories, but the overall arc tends to be hopeful. Note that if it were a movie, Tales from the Triverse would be a 15 certificate in the UK.
