Feeling yourself lean back, the slight brush of something soft was felt below your chin just enough for the sensation to register. You couldn't exactly tell what was happening but with the pain coursing through your body, your lack of knowledge was understandable.
Your eyelids felt like sandbags, they were heaving but after a few more failed attempts you were eventually able to open them, quickly catching sight of strawberry tinted blond hair before you as well as a seatbelt being pulled across you.
"Fugo?" Instantly he shot up at his name being called, the top of his head smacking against the top of the vans doorframe in the process. Letting out a groan and rubbing at his head, his eyes quickly fell upon you. Purple hues brightened vividly upon seeing that you were awake and a concerned expression quickly took over his face.
"Hey, you're awake. I didn't think you'd be up this quick." Speaking softly he leaned in front of you raising a hand softly to take a hold of your chin, turning your face in hand. The bruises seemed to be fading quickly much to his surprise. "Your bruises are looking better."
Cracking a slight smile you spoke once more, your voice still hoarse from the damage done to your vocal cords. "Did we get the key?"
Pulling his hand away from your face he gave a hum softly nodding, "We did, but nobody came out unscathed. Rest your voice, I'm sure you're still in pain." Growing softer by the end of his sentence he nodded to himself scanning your face once more.
Giving a hum of your own, you raised a hand softly patting the blond's cheek, "I'll be fine, It'll just take me a bit to heal up." Mimicking what he did with your own face earlier you held his rotating it in hand. "How are you feeling though? You did get hit quite a few times."
Hearing you ask that his face began to feel warm, even though you'd been hurt worse than he was you still took the time to fret over his own wellbeing. Taking note that your voice had become clearer and smoother by the end he could only assume your stand granted you some sort of enhanced self healing.

It'd make sense.
"I'm feeling alright. My face is a bit tender, but I was more concerned with how you were. Hell the guy chased you then came back dragging your body, I thought you were dead!" Reaching up to where your hand was he lightly tugged it off his face cupping it between his own, his tone of voice was filled with concern and sincerity.
"Oh, I mean that would make sense." Murmuring that you bobbed your head, "But the plan did kinda work you have to admit. Not in the way I intended but something worked." Shaking his head in response and letting go of your hand he closed his eyes with a sigh.
"Well whatever happened I'm glad you're alright. The other two however are going to need help when we get back. There's no big rush though, I want to make sure you're better before you use your stand." Raising a hand and patting your head he pulled back closing the door and moving off into the driver's seat starting up the vehicle.
Pulling away from the broken down city and onto a rural road the vans radio played softly in the background, it was soothing but you felt like talking to the blond would keep you more awake and alert. "We have the key right? Can I see it?"
Hearing you ask that Fugo shifted reaching into his back pocket pulling out a fairly large key, "Of course." Holding it out to you, you took it from his grip eyeing the red glass looking ball in the center. The key itself was fairly large and seemed like there was no way it'd open a door for the size and shape of it.
The larger part of the key felt heaving and you could only assume there was something more important about the key itself as opposed to what it opened or led to.
"So was it by the dog thing?" Asking that and spinning it in your fingers your gaze trailed towards the two knocked out in the back. Giorno seemed fairly unharmed sitting with his head propped up against the window, while with Abbacchio you could see trails of blood dripping out from between his lips and a makeshift tourniquet wrapped around his wrist.

"It was, but I wasn't the one to get it exactly." Drumming his fingers against the steering wheel Fugo blew at some stray strands of hair. "I mean when you were brought back I went to check if you were still breathing, then the enemy ran off coming back with Abbacchio."
"I don't know what happened between the two, but currently he's missing a hand." Hearing him explaining that you could only cast a worried glance back towards the white haired man, it made sense now as to why he had a tourniquet.
"What about Giorno? He doesn't seem like he's wounded or anything?" Asking that and directing your attention towards the blond in question Fugo answered right away with a sigh and shake of the head.
"He got infected by Purple Haze and brought it into the mirror. Then he infected the enemy causing him to leave and thus I could attack with Purple Haze who was outside." Explaining that he spared a glance towards where you sat seeing you give a nod.
"Is he still infected?"
Shaking his head 'no' at that a slight smile curled onto his lips, "No, he was actually able to use Golden Experience to make an antidote. I was really surprised by that but I'm glad he survived."
The conversation once more trailed off into a comfortable silence, neither of you really knew what to talk about or bring up so silence it was. The radio's music once again played softly in the background and you could feel yourself bop along to the tune.
Your injuries felt like they were healing up quite nicely and quickly save for the bruising around your neck. But it seemed like you were well enough to use your own stand on another person.
"Fugo, give me your hand." Musing that and extending a hand towards the blond you waited for him to comply.
A confused look was shot your way through his peripheral, but he complied moving one hand off the steering wheel extending it out to you. He wasn't going to ask why exactly you wanted it, but just did as he was asked.
Taking his hand in your own and lacing your fingers together, your focus trailed towards the window, it was normal for you to make contact with someone when using your stand but at the moment you also just wanted some form of comfort.
A warm feeling crawled up his arm from your hand quickly drifting through his head and easing the aches and pains in his head. The feeling of your stand was always so warm and comforting, enough so that he found himself wanting to bask in it for as long as he could.
That in addition to holding your hand just seemed to make his heart flutter, it was a form of comfort he never really knew he needed till you came around. Which was one of many things he liked about you.
You didn't know his back story nor seemed to care about it, only focusing on things that happen in the present. He was aware he had answer issues and knew you knew about them, yet you were always able to find a way to bring him back from whatever the blind fury was aimed towards.
Now as much as he disliked the enemy back there giving you the nickname angioletto, it was very fitting. Not just because you were the team's medic or what your stand did, but because of how your overall presence was.
It was calm, comforting and above all you were something extraordinary. That was what he liked about you, there was always something new to see or hear from you and even during the mission he never would've expected you to jump into danger like you did.
You were truly something else.
