"Can you all stop arguing?! You're once again disrupting the other customers and scaring our newest member." Having stepped out before the group Bucciarati crossed his arms over one another, a disappointed expression was clearly shown across his face as well as a scowl. This wasn't exactly the first impression he wanted the group to make on you, but beggars can't be choosers.
"I wouldn't be surprised if after hearing all that racquet that she doesn't request a transfer." Quickly adding that he eyed the group sternly, it was a frequent thing for the group to argue amongst one another, but it was also getting tiresome. At least for him seeing as he was always the one to break things up.
Upon hearing the man's firm tone the group quickly settled back down, each resting back into their respective chairs. A new member wasn't a regular occurrence, let alone one that was a girl.
Perhaps this was the person Bucciarati had been expecting for the past few days that none of them had really paid much attention to.
"She? It's a girl." Raising a brow to pair up with his question the black haired teen rested an elbow among the table, the pencil in hand was waved between his fingers while Bucciarati's words replayed in his head.
"Man I hope she's cute." The comment was quickly followed by a harsh smack as the black haired boy's head snapped forward having been struck by the strawberry blond beside him.
"Shut up and let him finish."
Clearing his throat to once again gain the table's attention Bucciarati continued, this time glancing over to the side and waving a hand into a quick come over gesture. Shuffling over and promptly standing beside he spoke, "Everyone, this is (Y/N) (L/N), treat her with respect."
Shuffling your feet in place among the floor you eyed the group before you, a slight wave was given as well. "Uh Hi."
Giving you a quick once over the guy with bright orange and blue attire let out a hum before moving his attention towards the black haired teen a seat away, "Damn. She is cute." His attention had quickly returned back to you and upon hearing the comment a rosy hue had crawled across your cheeks.

"Names Mista by the way."
Opening your mouth to acknowledge the introduction you closed it right after having been interrupted by Bucciarati who'd moved to pull another chair up to the table motioned towards it, his words overshadowing Mista's introduction. "Here why don't you all chat a bit. I'll be back."
The group collectively acknowledged the suggestion right away and as Bucciarati left he spared you a reassuring smile waiting for you to take a seat before fully departing.
"Well now that he's gone I'm going to say it again. Names Mista." The man across from you flashed a large smile, dark eyes stood out against his rather bright attire; that of which consisted of an orange hat garnering a blue arrow pointed down the bridge of his nose and a blue sweater could be seen above the table cut in what you would assume was a cropped fit. Both the articles had white gridded lines across them as well as a few minor detailing.
Seeing him reach across the table and offer a hand shake you accepted it, almost instantly regretting it as he spoke once more. "Wow, your hands are small." Turning your hands over in his own Mista's head was flicked forward harshly, a loud smack sound followed by a whine from the impact. Feeling the grip on your hand quickly loosen you wasted no time in pulling it back and out of sight.
"You don't say that to someone! You're going to make her uncomfortable!" Moving your attention towards who'd spoken your gaze fell upon a strawberry blond. A few strands of his hair had been dangling before his face but as he moved you could make out violet hues narrowed towards Mista.
Much like the orange and blue clad man his attire was also quite bright in colour as well as unique. For starters he was dressed up in a matching jacket and trousers, both of which sported an array of holes while the top of the jacket only had the first button done. A tie rested just underneath bordering on purple or navy having various little strawberries printed onto it.

Tugging his gaze away from Mista and focusing on you an apologetic look crossed over his expression and his eyes softened. "Sorry about that, the names Fugo."
Nodding politely at the introduction you noted that he seemed to have been the one keeping Mista and the black haired teen beside you in check, besides Bucciarati of course. Both assumptions based on the tone of voice used to speak with the others and what you were able to observe is such a small amount of time.
Though that was your assumption at least.
"Narancia Ghirga, but just Narancia is good with me." The raven haired teen beside you quickly butted in before Fugo could add anything else moving to scoot his chair closer while flashing you a bright smile. Unlike the other two his attire was rather simplistic, a black slim vest wrapped around his upper body branching off at the tip into five straps connecting to a collar with small golden clasps.
There was a distinct childish gleam to his purple hues as well as a contagiousness to the smile he gave seeing as quickly after a smaller one had made itself onto your expression. Resting an elbow among the table and motioning towards the last person who appears less than pleased to have become the table's focus Narancia let out a hum.
"Then last but not least there's Abbacchio. He's kinda scary at first but once you get to know him he's...alright." The way he trailed off before adding 'alright' worried you a tad yet looking over at the man you could definitely see why. Right off the bat he seemed to be in no mood to converse nor want to acknowledge your presence, which was displayed for all to see through a scowl spread out across his lips.
Which honestly was perfectly fine for the time being. You were in no rush to become all buddy buddy with him and honestly if you were to run into him on the street you'd surely turn and hightail it the other way.
His hair unlike the others was long, split up into different sections yet had the consisted colour white with a silvery tone. A purple headpiece sat along the top of his head matching quite nicely with the lipstick and lacing that crossed the open gap in the front of his black overcoat.
Though apart from the dark wardrobe he wore, his eyes were definitely something that caught your attention. They appeared rather unusual starting off at the top with a violet hue that shifted into a yellow tone.
Very pleasing to the eye. But you felt that if you'd stared any longer he would've yelled at you or worse.
Those were the vibes he gave off at least.
Tugging your gaze away from the man and back to the others you shifted in place slightly, the smile from before still rested across your features but there was now a strong anxious air around you. Now that they've finished their introductions the attention was on you.
"Well uh...pleased to meet you all." Speaking quickly and nodding along with your own words, your eyes trailed across everyone's faces before quickly settling on your small companion fluttering carelessly behind everyone. Not a care in the world.
Oh how you wished to be that carefree.
Though with its presence alone your nerves were able to settle back down, enough so that you could speak, "I know Bucciarati already introduced me to you all but I'm going to do it again." Taking a breath a more confident smile had taken over your expression casting aside your previous feelings.
"(Y/N) (L/N) is the name. But please just call me (Y/N). I hope we can all get along."

My Hundredth Life
I was an ordinary guy, living an ordinary life, until it happened. What we came to call the "Reality Break". Monsters started spawning in the streets, Mana flowed through our veins, Skills and Abilities were unlocked, and everyone had a Status Screen. I was living my dream, an RPG apocalypse! Until I died, that is. And woke up in a new world...where I died again. And again. With each death, a new incarnation, a new game world, and new scars upon my soul. Now, at my 99th death, I just wish it would end...but unlike in some of the worlds I have "played" in, this time my wish is not granted. *** Author's Note: This is my first 'serious' attempt at writing a story. I am hoping to turn ths into a series that I can publish to Amazon, but my life is a bit hectic right now, so I can't make any guarantees. However, I have serious reasons for writing at this point in my life, so I will do my best to provide this new twist to the LitRPG genre and keep it up for as long as possible. Thank you, to anyone who reads this. *Also, tags might change depending on how the story goes, there may be mild profanity or mild sexual content, but I have not decided yet.

Carus - Libertas
participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge and also having a go at NaNoWriMo this November. This was a first draft published as it was written for Nanowrimo November 2020. A little rough around the edges, I hope to come back and edit at some point, and then continue the story on. In the grand scheme of things Elias was nothing special. Which was why he was surprised by a random company on a new colony planet buying out his contract. That was the problem with the large companies that ruled the colonies, once they owned your contract, they owned you. Imagine the greater surprise when he learnt that the new company held the promise of freedom. Not from the constant battle against the Swarm that were also trying to claim the colony planets for their own. Nor from the Crust, the mysterious substance that covered the same planets and held the resources they all fought for. No, the freedom from being oppressed by those with more power and to finally decide where to go and where to set down roots and call home.
