It’s early in the morning

As my alarm clock rings

I get out of bed and sigh

Get dressed and grab my things

I skip down the steps

Two at a time

Put my shoes and jacket on

I sling my laptop over my shoulder

Eat breakfast, break into a run

I unlock the door and step outside

The bus is about to leave

I sprint to the top of the hill

Yelling, “Wait for me!”

So, I get on the bus, drink water, cool

And in the end I’m right on time for school
