Chapter 32, Don't Kiss and Tell
Megan Thee Stallion said it best 'Number 1 rule, don't kiss and tell.'
The sun set already but I wasn't ready to go home and Jaden wasn't ready to let me go home either.
So we continued to watch funny tiktoks on his TV, he kept making comments which made the video funnier.
"Ugh, they always kiss."
Jaden gagged as he watched a couple kiss to Electric Love by Børns.
I chuckled and shook my head, it was cute.
"I disagree, love is beautiful. You're just a hater my friend."
Jaden shook his head and rolled his eyes, I laid down and continued watching as more couples kiss on the screen.
We kept joking around, not taking the people seriously.
I stood up from the bed, grabbing his hand and pulling him up with me.
He groaned making me scoff, I grabbed the remote and put on Middle Of The Night by Elley Duhé.
"Dance with me baseball boy."
Jaden laughed and wrapped his hands around my waist, I wrapped mine around his neck and we danced to the music.
I swear everything went on pause, the world stop to look at us is what it felt like.
He leaned down a bit, he wasn't exactly taller than me but I wasn't at his exact height.
I felt my breath hitch a bit, I was nervous now.
I could feel his breath on my neck, I looked away from him, no longer being able to hold contact.
I could practically hear his stupid smirk, he went closer to my ear.
"May I kiss you?"
I looked back at him, my eyes widened.
He must've caught what he was saying because he quickly straightened up.
He's always thought of me like I was his best friend and I thought the same.

"Yes, please."
I blurted out, I didn't mean to say it but it came out anyways.
I felt like an idiot but what else was I supposed to say?
He leaned back down, I leaned in and soon our lips connected.
It was breath-taking, he was a good kisser.
He pulled away slowly, I didn't think anything through but I found myself pulling him back down for another kiss.
He kissed back, next thing I know we're having a full on make out session.
We pulled away, blushing like crazy but when I looked at him, I didn't feel anything different.
"I can't believe we did that."
He broke the silence as he changed the tv to a baseball game, I sat on his bed and nodded slowly.
Jaden sat beside me and smiled, I felt uneasy.
What if he felt some type of way and I didn't?
"Do you, do you feel different?"
I asked quietly almost whisper like, I was hoping he didn't.
Our friendship would've been ruined because of me.
"Honestly, no. I'm sorry if you do."
I laughed at his words and smiled, I shook my head and grabbed his hand.
"I can assure you, I see you just like a friend."
I said, he returned the smile and we continued to watch the baseball game.
Now I know he plays it and understands it but I don't, I was confused.
After an hour, I got up to leave.
"Please stay the night?"
Jaden pleaded as he stood up, I laughed and agreed.
I went straight to his closet and grabbed the first shirt I saw.
I walked to the bathroom and changed into it, it stopped right at my knees so I'm good.
I walked into his room, he smiled at me.

"I'm sleeping in Jayla's room."
I grabbed my phone, I went to leave but he grabbed my wrist and spun me around.
He smiled at me, I took a deep breath and smiled back.
"Please, don't tell anyone about what we did earlier."
I kissed his cheek and nodded slowly.
Megan Thee Stallion said it best 'Number 1 rule don't kiss and tell.'
He laughed and we hugged, it was longer than expected.
I looked at him and he looked back, his eyes flickering from my lips to my eyes and back again.
He leaned down and planted a kiss on my lips, I saw a flash of light.
I turned quickly and my heart stopped, there was Lola.
Phone in hand, smirk plastered on her face.
I blacked out.
