《A Series Of Fortunately Unfortunate Events》Chapter 16

There a certain smell to hospitals, that could drain the hood from the most head strong person out there. They always smell clean, but dirtier than any bathroom. Harry had only been there once, when Dudley stubbed a toe, but the doctor had been much less frantic than the healers were now.
Other than his moaning, a faint whisper could be heard, that resonated from a older man with gray hair and a large gash on his face. The man spoke complaints to his nearby wife, complaining that Draco was simply overreacting and the healer's couldn't be as focused with him there, so they should move him or let the Malfoy die. On other days, Harry might've let his lion heart free and approach the man, but what would that do? The man would still believe what he wished to and Draco would still be falling back into a coma. Merlin, Harry was losing himself.
The moaning and whispers subsided when Draco began to mutter, clutching the bed with each word, as if it caused pain. "I made a mistake. I made a mistake." Draco muttered, over and over again. It was difficult to tell if he was conscious and saying this or the potions rendered him into a sleep state and this was a dream. "I-I m-made a m-mistake." He muttered again, shivering, like the words made him scared.
"Don't listen to him. We had to give him a potion to sedate him, so he's only dreaming." A nearby, female healer said, passing by and striding over to the old man. Harry knew what the mistake was, him. Dream or not, Draco thought ever giving him a chance was a mistake. Things like that carve scars into our heads and hearts.
Leaving would take the pain away, but he'd argued so much to come. Draco spoke again, soft and nearly a whisper, but Harry could hear. "H-Harry, I made a m-mistake." He said, but the next statement was so loud, everyone in the room could hear. "Please, Harry!" Draco yelled, clutched the sheets and clenched his teeth. The darkness that crawled under his skin, inched closer to his heart. He was speaking to Harry, not Lucius. So, what was the mistake?

Harry shook his head and walked over to the pale boy, grabbing a clammy hand from the sheets. He held it, hoping that the dreaming boy would somehow be soothed by his touch. It was obvious that every healer in this place was confused and hoping for the best with each potion given, as told by the array of empty bottles that littered the side table, that stood next to his bed. Vampires must not be their specialties and the venom must've been complex.
He let go and stared at his pale figure, once again, before turning away and hearing a crying moan that emitted from Draco. Harry's touch must have actually helped to soothe the medical mystery, but as Harry went to grab for the bony hand again, a firm, but shaking hand gripped his wrist, a healer. "Please, be extremely careful and refrain from touching him. We are uncertain of what could worsen his condition." The black haired healer said, with a scarily deep and demanding voice.
Just as he finished, Draco spoke. "H-Harry... I am s-s-s" He didn't finish before the healer pushed him out of the way and many healer's crowded around Draco. Harry heard one of the call him "unstable", which caused Harry to simply run out of the room and side down the nearest wall. Not crying, but laying his head in his hands and attempting to refrain from thinking.

BladeMage
Arenya Azural, a dragon-blooded farmer from a small town in the middle of nowhere, always dreamed of being a great hero, battling demons and monsters as a force of magic and power. Now her dream has a chance to become reality - she's a new student at Ba'al Cedric's Academy of Adventurers, a university for warrriors and heroes to learn to battle against the surprisingly amicable demon armies of the neighboring country in an endless war nobody really remembers the point of by now. She's also a BladeMage - an exceedingly rare and exceedingly difficult dual class that few have ever managed to succeed in, but those who have gain immense power. Arenya has a long road ahead of her, with rival students, duels with demons, and a host of benchmarks she must pass in order to keep her scholarship. Will she make it to level 100 and beyond, or die too many times and be forced to return home, tail (literally) between her legs to a life of farming and dreaming of adventure? BladeMage is a LitRPG with a lighter focus on stats. It features battles, leveling up, giant monsters, a bit of fanservice, and more. [Update: The LitRPG elements are proving themselves relatively unimportant as I continue to write. They may be dropped entirely, in which case I will change the prior chapters as well as update this description.] Content warnings: As a story featuring lots of fighting, there will be blood and death. However, since characters rarely die permanently, this will not be a hyperviolent story with extreme gore for the sake of it. Some sexual content and fanservice may be included, but this should remain firmly at the PG-13 level and there will be no sexual violence of any kind. The Cover: Someone suggested that I should have a dragon girl with a miniskirt on the cover. I can't draw and I don't know who to ask or commission, so a few minutes in the GNU Image Manipulation Program and the masterful cover above was created! Please feel free to use your imagination to see a gorgeous half-dragon with azure hair, wings, and a tail, holding a lightning-infused sword while fighting demons.

The blue Astrum of memories
Some of you believe in fate and some of you don't. That's ok in our world. In the world that I created Fate has been acting strange and selfish for a long time. She was always fascinated with humans and the fact that they had soulmates because a lot of other races didn't. Ever since humans started traveling through space, that opened millions of new opportunities for Fate to make the human soulmates meet. However, because of her strange behaviour Fate made too many mistakes. After that, Fate made what she thought, was a good move. What she didn't count on was that the good move she made knew that you can cheat fate. One and his crew don't know how ironic it is that she chose them to make her good move. ------------------------------- I didn't use any movies, books or series for inspiration the story is my original work. This is just the result of my weird imagination and brain telling me what to write. I hope you liked it :) It’s just a story, like all of my other stores. It doesn’t have a deeper spiritual, moral or ethical meaning.

Magikind [Original]
The third millennia, a time of change and evolution. An era, where people, through countless generations, have evolved strange powers and abilities. Through several centuries of selective breeding, these beings, known as mages, have become part of the very foundations of society. However, some refused to change or adapt. They believed in purity and refused to interbreed with magikind. Known as the manush, they were a rarity among society. Now, in the fifth millennia, the manush are thought extinct. With magikind ruling the world, a three-way war grips society. In these uncertain times, a manush called Gin, will herald a new era for all Magikind. A story of how man could realistically evolve while still pushing boundaries. Disclaimer: Chapters will be edited once the first volume is done. Bear the beginning for the time being, and hopefully you can see my writing improving over time (I've learnt a lot on how to write because of this (though I'm still not perfect :P)) Proud Member of Writers to the End, WriTE The link to the pledged fictions PS. If you find the 'notes' too boring or too info-dumpy, feel free to skip them and just read the main chapters. They're there for the reader to understand Gin's world (written in the perspective of Gin). But later on, we can see some interactions between the main characters and the occasional references to his past in the notes, so it has its purpose.
