《Seducing The Male Lead Using A Pure Face》1.4 Cinderella's Late To The Ball

[ Host. This is the day when the FL will transfer into the school. ]
Annabell was just leaving her house after eating breakfast and fixing her makeup when Jules decided to drop this bombshell on her. Well, it should've been a bombshell but Annabell made no moves to freak out or curse at Jules she simply shrugged.
"Good. I've almost finished all my preparations anyway. Just need to join the Newspaper Club since they meet in the mornings." She said indifferently, beginning her walk to school.
[ .... Really? ]
"Really. Now, does the FL take my route to school?"
[ Yes. ]
Annabell sneered, an expression no one who ever met the girl would expect she could wear. "Then let's give her a show." When she stepped onto the main road of the school bustling with students, her sneer turned into a natural small smile. Sweet and charming. Per usual, everyone around was stunned and started voicing their good mornings.
"Snow White! G'morning. We missed you yesterday!"
"Eh, Annabell. Where were you yesterday? We were so worried."
"Snow White looks as pretty as a princess! Per usual, of course."
"Why wouldn't our princess look like one? I wonder where she was yesterday..."
Annabell met each of these greetings, at least the ones said directly to her, with a smile and reply. Of course, this kind of commotion would catch the attention of anyone who was unfamiliar with such a scene. Just like the beloved FL. The blonde girl wasn't originally that attentive to the constant chatter around her, but the constant saying of 'Snow White' was a bit confusing.
'Do they mean like in the fairy tale? I didn't know high schoolers were so into those still...'
Charlotte Dixon, our most unfortunate heroine, walked tightly within the packs of students and possible friends with careful steps as to not step on anyone's feet and have no one step on her's. Having moved to this city from across the country with her mom and her 'husband', she had no idea where she was going until she had reached this sidewalk filled with kids wearing the same uniform as her. It was a bit annoying to have none of the attention on her for once, as her old school had been under her thumb for as long as she'd lived in that city. She subconsciously began to look for this 'Snow White' character. When she saw her, she instantly understood the name.
Long raven black hair, diamond grey eyes, and dewey peach skin. A pure smile. And an innate type of radiance that screams 'princess'. Charlotte couldn't help but be stunned. Subtly, Charlotte couldn't help but feel the smallest bit jealous. It wasn't often she saw someone just as pretty, if not prettier, than her. Unbeknownst to her, this 'Snow White' was mentally cackling at her starstruck yet dark expression. It was so silly, she couldn't help it. The FL looked way too idiotic for Annabell not to find her comical.
"Anna! What happened to you yesterday?! You never answered any of my texts!"
Arms suddenly encircled Annabell, the familiar tanned arms of Maxine. She was pouting up a storm, clinging onto Annabell like her life depended on it. The black-haired girl couldn't help but laugh and pet the girl's head. The scene was one of cute reunion.
"I'm sorry, Max. Had a couple of at-home troubles." Annabell told her, voice seeming to coo at her. "Will you ever forgive me?"

Maxine made a face at that. Home troubles? What kind of home troubles? The red-head couldn't help but silently search for any bruises on her friend's porcelain skin. Due to its color, one would surely notice a crack in it. Fortunately, there was no such thing to be found on Annabell's person. Maxine let out a sigh of relief.
"Is everything okay? Shouldn't you have stayed home again?"
Annabell shook her head and smiled sweetly. "It wasn't anything serious. My younger cousin just had a bit of a bad day and I spent mine comforting her." As much as she wanted to tell Maxine the truth, she really did consider the girl a friend, telling her she was finally having post-death whiplash wouldn't make any sense.
"Really?" Maxine asked, releasing Annabell from her hold. "I hope she's feeling better now." The two started to walk together with pep in their steps, chatting excitedly about anything that came to mind. It was quite funny how opposites attracted in this situation. Shy and outgoing, red and black, pale and tanned, yet the picture the two girls painted couldn't help but fill one with either warmth or envy.
Annabell couldn't help but silently giggle to herself. Who would think that an actual green-eyed monster would be looking into the back of her head like a hawk? It was just too easy to rile this girl up. Too easy.
--------
Of all the things Annabell could've forgotten within a day's time, she had no idea how she could forget her oh so loyal fanbase. By loyal, she meant insanely obsessed but not enough to go around killing and kidnapping and stalking. But still to a creepy level of obsessed. They'd even called themselves 'The Dwarves' because there weren't just seven of them. The most loyal (obsessed) were the top seven. It was a pretty organized hierarchy for such a weird group. At the moment, Annabell was silently screaming within her very soul as those seven 'Dwarves' literally bowed to her in front of half the school. Have they no shame?! Even Brooke didn't experience this when she was alive.
"Um... You don't have to do that. Please stand up, you're getting your uniforms dirty..." Annabell's voice was wobbly as she said this, eyes flitting about to look at all the other students looking at her fanbase. She really wished that damned woman would stab her in the back again. There was one more part of this 'fanbase' of hers too.
"Oh my god, Ethan, what the fuck are you doing?! Can't you see how uncomfortable this is making Anna?!" Maxine screamed, pointing an accusing finger at her kneeling brother. You read that right people. One of Snow White's loyal dwarves is Maxine's older senior brother. Ironically enough, he was also the supporting male lead that Brooke ignored in the plot. Wasn't that nice?
[ Congrats, Host! Your seduction skills have truly reached a whole new level! I'm sure your skill tab is filled to burst! ]
"... Jules, please, just shut up. And tell me what the fuck you're talking about later."
Ethan looked up at his younger sister with bewildered blue eyes, the same shade, and color of her own. "Uncomfortable? Isn't this the right way to show respect?"
The other dwarves voiced their immediate agreement. After all, what better way to show respect to a princess than to bow? It was a bit concerning that no one else in the school was doing it. Shouldn't they know to show fealty to a ruler? If Annabell could hear their thoughts, she would've spit up blood. Isn't it wonderful she hasn't gained the skill of telepathy with this body?

Maxine grits her teeth and grabbed her brother by the ear and pulled him up. "Of course it's fucking not! Have all your brain cells been socked out of your body?!" She tugged on his ear hard enough for it to turn a bright red with his tanned skin. "Idiot! The one time I make a friend and you scare the hell out of her!"
How weirder could her brother get? She was constantly ashamed to admit she was even related to this idiot who only knew how to play sports and sleep. Annabell couldn't help but weirdly regard this to siblingly love, even if it was a possibly more violent version of it. She wouldn't know as an only child both in this world and back as Brooke. She could only watch the carnage with an awkward smile.
[ The FL is approaching, Host. ]
"Thanks for the heads up."
Annabell sighed and looked at the other six dwarves, giving them a helpless expression. Like she was to burst into tears at any second. This made them stand up at attention instantly and almost encircle the girl, fretting over her like mother hens, despite only two being girls.
"Oh, don't cry Annabell! What's wrong?"
"What happened? Were you that worried about us?"
All that and more was spat at her at high speed, causing more of a scene than there was originally. All the other students and staff had long grown used to it, but not a brand new transfer student. Someone like that would be stunned speechless at such a display. Exactly what Charlotte was experiencing at this moment.
Charlotte's peachy face was gaping at the scene before her. That Snow White, Annabell she had heard her name was, was surrounded by people and that red-head from earlier was yelling an earful at a boy who looked eerily similar to her. If anything would leave an impression on her about this school, it would be this scene everyone else was ignoring. How the hell could someone ignore this? No, how could someone arouse so much attention just by entering the building? The blonde girl couldn't help but feel her small flame jealously flare-up. What did that girl do to deserve so much attention when she got barely any in her own daily life? It just seemed... Totally unfair. Charlotte's hands couldn't help but ball into fists, her manicured nails digging into her palms as she marched away from the scene to wherever she thought the office was. When she was far away enough, Annabell's teary expression disappeared slowly as she sighed.
The loyal followers around her couldn't help but notice the change in their princess with the unknown face's departure and their hearts hardened.
[ Congrats, Host. 1% of the school now hates the FL. ]
--------
Charlotte found her way to the glass-walled office and took deep breaths to calm her attitude before she went in. It would leave a bad impression on any potential teacher she had if she went in with such a sour face. Just imagine you were back home, home where everyone liked you. Home, love, home, love. Within a minute of repeating the phrase in her head, Charlotte's face was relaxed into a small charming smile with her emerald green eyes shining like gems. Cute and perfect. That's what she was and always would be, everyone would love her because of it just like at home. With that in mind, Charlotte entered the office to see the pinched face of the Secretary who didn't even look up from her monitor to give Charlotte a question.
"Can I help you?" Her voice was scratchy and sharp, like a knife stabbing through the small talk that Charlotte had prepared. She couldn't help but mentally scowl at the woman.
The blonde girl smiled sweetly at the Secretary, whose name tag said Miss Dehlia Greene and spoke in a just as sweet voice. "Yes. I just transferred in and-"
"No wonder your uniform is so disorderly."
"... Pardon me?"
Charlotte's eyebrow twitched at Miss Greene's words. Who was this old hag to tell her that her uniform looked wrong? She had painstakingly spent all morning modifying her uniform to highlight her nice body and stylize it. Not to say it wasn't cute at first. A white button-up, navy blue cardigan with a matching knee-length pleated skirt, black dress shoes and a cute black ribbon to replace a tie. Charlotte had only made the skirt shorter and left the top two buttons of her shirt unbuttoned. She looked fashionable. This old hag looked like she just walked out of the 1920s or some shit.
Miss Greene's eyes narrowed at this girl. It was upsetting to see the disparity between this transfer student and Annabell. One looked like she'd just stepped out of a pin-up while Annabell was the picture-perfect student. Hair neatly brushed, uniform ironed and pressed, even with knee-high black socks. The only different thing was a small red apple pin on her cardigan. While one looked to be selling sex, the other was selling the cuteness a normal uniform could show. The other students had even begun to follow suit, wearing their uniforms properly with small accessories to express themselves. It was truly a sight for the woman who'd been working at the school for thirty years. Even that Yates boy had been wearing his shirt buttoned all the way.
"What is your name, young lady?" Miss Greene's voice was piercing once more as she sat back in her chair, eyes cold. She seemed to have blocked herself off completely from the blonde girl, leaving no room for a better relationship. Damn professionalism, she'd be retiring in a couple of years anyway.
Charlotte's forced smile didn't falter, despite it twitching a good bit. "Charlotte Dixon."
Without another word, Miss Greene printed out her schedule and went to go get it before coming back and handing it to Charlotte, along with a fresh new uniform skirt. She pointed to a wooden door with a bony finger.
"Here's your schedule and a new skirt. Change in the office bathroom before your guide gets here."
Charlotte pursed her lips and glared at the old hag but couldn't protest as she walked into the bathroom, nails digging into the skirt and schedule as she closed the door behind her.
Miss Greene couldn't help but grin smugly as she pressed the office's call button. Maybe her student guide could knock some sense into her.
"Could Annabell Richards head to the office, please?"

Essentia Animus
Second Book of the Soul - Celesi Veil Trilogy When the living essence of three girls are put at risk, giving room for a second essence within themselves, even their hyper developed fantasy world might not be enough to contain their new found ambitions. Another story of another world, these three girls must adapt to their new essence, all while each is left to question if they are truly still even alive. While this story is a sequel of the previous story in the trillogy, it is also fully capable of standing alone in its own light, taking place in a distant corner of a Celese returning readers will be otherwise incapable of recognizing. However, the events of the story are a spoiler for the previous book, in case that matters to anyone. This story takes place over two centuries after the events of Vitae Memorandum, when Celese had developed into an advanced world, improved to a point that it is much like modern-day Earth while still using the gift instead of technology. The Aethyx languages are still present in this book, and even English still exists in the world after the events of the previous book, but are much less of a focus after the same closing events of the previous book. What is instead important is how the ending events of the previous book had resulted in the start of the Instrumentation Era, and exactly how the gift translates in a modern-day sense. While this book is still effectively a fantasy world of its own kind of magic, it isn’t the classical medieval scene that would be typical for such a story. The laws of science still do not exist in Celese, but that didn’t stop it from developing into something that looks similar enough. Earth itself still remains present on the other side of the veil, and its previous exposure continues to shape and advance Celese into the world it has become. This story contains scenes exibiting mania and similar dark themes, as it goes to great length to explore concepts of life and death. While the degree of such themes should not be considered to be as serious compared to matters such as actual horror, the psychological depth is still siginifcant enough to be potentially concerning for people sensitive to matters of this nature, such as any individuals with concerns questioning matters of suicide, mental harm, or a variety of emotional injuries. While none of these subjects actually occur in the story, readers who are currently troubled by such matters may find themselves considering old wounds if they are especially capable of empathy while reading, which could lead to furthered emotional or mental stress. Readers with a high capacity for empathy may find themselves troubled by concerns regarding any potential lack of mental/emotional control as well as considerations regarding the meaning of death. Readers who appreciate subtle dark themes in a story may instead find this to be an interesting twist of the same idea.
