"Vincent, will you come with me? I want to ask you something" asks Xavier. Vincent nods he needs to keep a peaceful relationship with him. The real powerhouse here is Xavier not the heroine.

"Father Emperor please excuse us" Vincent softly says. However, Vincent gave off an icy hallow feeling. The emperor noticed and couldn't help but ask himself what had happened to his son.

"Go ahead" the emperor lets them leave. He will redo this whole party.

Vincent and Xavier made it to Xavier home. He looks around and its as big as his home.

"Xavier, what do you want to speak of?" Vincent questions as he makes eye contact.

"I want to know the full reason," asks Xavier. Vincent frown and looks at him.

"There is no other reason Xavier. If I wanted to harm you I would send someone to kill you. If I wanted to really harm anyone I would do it. No need to go around it. If I don't like you I would have you disappear by now" Vincent nonchalantly states. Like he is not talking about murder.

"Then why do you provoke me in court?" Asks Xavier, Vincent gives a small smirk.

"That's for three reasons. One I have to make it seem like there is trouble in the empire. So when another empire decided to attack they will think that I am muddle-headed. Two is that I want to weed out those meliaceous people. The ones who will do stuff for their own gain. Three is that I like being on my toes. With your counter attacks, it helps me think more outside the box and its fun. We can never relax for the security of the empire," Vincent explains. Xavier's eyes widen he didn't think that Vincent was only poking fun.

"I see I will change now" Xavier states Vincent waits outside of his room. Xavier comes out wearing all black. Which really matched his looks.

"Xavier I will stop poking fun at you. Now that you know I have no ill intent its no longer fun" Vincent sighs. Xavier lets out a low chuckle.

"I will stop all the attacks I had prepared" Xavier laughs. Vincent nods with a small smile. He unconsciously played with the pendant around his neck. Xavier notices but doesn't say anything.

The two made it back to the main hall. Many heads turned to look at them. Their white and black hanfu next to each other reminded people of the yin-yang dragons. The two dragons were powerful and able to bring peace or destruction.

They took the seats next to each other beside the emperor. They are the two most favored of all the eight male children. The five princess are all not favored as they are females. However, Vincent had a good relationship with his sisters. The only one who treated them equally. The party was going well until the topic of marriage came.

"Vincent my son do you accept marrying Belle Louis. If you don't we can look for another" offers the emperor. Belle looks at Vincent with an expecting look. Xavier felt anger bubbling inside him. He does not want his Vincent to marry.

"I apologize Lady Belle but currently I don't want to marry anyone. Father emperor please accept me not wanting to marry" Vincent softly apologizes. As he plays with the pendant. He will only ever marry that man. Xavier looks at the pendant who is the person who stops Vincent from marrying. He felt an incredible amount of jealousy. Who does Vincent in his heart? He couldn't help but wonder where did these possessive feeling come from.

"Son? Are you sure you don't want to marry?" The emperor asks with concern.

"Yes, father I don't want to marry anyone" Vincent states. As he clutched his hand on the pendant. He doesn't want to marry because he is already married.

"If you don't want to marry Belle you can have Melody. Melody is very talented in magic and the arts. Unlike Belle who has her magic core broken and untalented in the arts" offer the Louis family head. Melody sends Vincent a flirtatious look at his direction.

"That's correct unfortunately my sister had a horrible incident when young and lost her magic core" Melody sadly states.

"I don't want to marry anyone at the moment. What you said is very distasteful. How can you offer the elder sister of the person I broke the engagement with? This will only harm Lady Belle's feelings more. I broke my engagement because I don't want to marry. Not because lady Belle isn't good enough. Lady Belle seems like a wonderful person. So please don't make me seem like a shallow person who only cares for someone's appearances or talents. Lady Belle it seems you have troubles at home. If you ever need help with anything I gladly help" Vincent chillingly accuses the Louis' head. The heroine smiles she quite likes Vincent.

"Vincent doesn't want to currently want to marry. So no engagement will happen" announces the emperor. Xavier sighs in relief he is glad that his brother won't marry.

"Belle Louis since my son doesn't want to marry. Do you have anyone you like?" Asks emperor, Belle shakes her head. Her father and Melody bow their heads hiding the embarrassment.

"Alright for compensation I will award you a separate house than your family. And annual pay for your troubles" the emperor announces. Belle wanted to scream with happiness. She bows and thanks to the emperor. She sends a grateful glance towards Vincent. He responds with a small nod.

"Vincent, don't look at her" Xavier harshly states. Vincent looks at him with a questioning look.

"Xavier what is wrong with you. She is only grateful and I do not like her. I don't like anyone in that way except" Vincent whispers back but stops in the end. He didn't mean to say that.

"Except who?" Xavier whispers harshly not knowing where this jealousy came from.

"None of your business Xavier" Vincent whispers back harshly. Xavier glares at the floor wondering who Vincent fell for.
