Danny Pov

"What does it say" I said feeling my heart beat in my chest

"It's says he is mine " Lewis said I felt confusion run through me. A cold gust of wind blew in through the broken window me shiver.

"Who is it talking about" I asked it was quiet for a moment before Beau spoke

"You" he said simply making my head snap towards him. I felt a shiver run down my spine as I looked at his expression. There was anger in his eyes

"Me, w-why would it be talking about me" I said breathing heavily. Lewis looked up at Beau with a serious expression

"You think he did this" he said to Beau who clenched his fist

"I have something to tell you Danny" he said turning around towards the crowd softening his expression slightly

"Everyone please go back up to your rooms I'll deal with this" he said everyone nodded hesitantly walking upstairs

"Lewis wake the solders, I want every inch of this territory searched and I want that bastard found" Beau said sternly Lewis nodded hurrying upstairs

"What the hell is going on Beau" I said he sighed closing the curtains trying to keep the draft out

"Sit please" he said gesturing to the island stools I sat down feeling my heartbeat quicken

"Do remember when you met my dad at the restaurant" he said sitting in the seat opposite of me. I nodded, anxiously waiting for him to continue

"Well I met someone there, someone strange" he said looking away with furrowed brows

"What do you mean by strange" I said

" his scent wasn't vampire or werewolf but something weird. I couldn't figure outwhat he was" he said I felt confusion wash over me

"Did he say anything to you" I asked watching guilt flash across his face

"He was strange he said you were a pretty mate and to not dwell in the calm period of becoming king, then he said we'd be meeting again soon" he said I felt my heart begin to race. Why the hell would someone say something like that

"What about training day when you disappeared into the woods" I said watching as he looked away from me.

"There was a werewolf in the territory, he was acting very suspicious. I think the two are connected somehow" he said running his hands through his hair

"Why didn't you tell me" I said feeling fear come over me

" I'm sorry I didn't want to freak you out, I didn't think something like this would happen" he said suddenly footsteps sounded from the stairs behind me.

I turned to see Lewis and the packs strongest soldiers waiting behind him

"My king the solders are ready" Lewis said Beau stood up walking towards them

"Search the area, I want every inch of this land touched and if you find that bastard bring him back to me, alive " Beau said making me shiver his king voice was scary

The men nodded and quickly walked out the door leaving it silent for a moment.

"Danny go upstairs and rest Lewis and I have some things to discuss" he said looking down at me with partially red eyes. I decided not I argue walking past him. I glanced at the brick one last time before quickly walking upstairs

Beau POV

"Do you really think this was the guy from the restaurant " Lewis said with a slightly scared look on his face. I'd never seen him lose his cool before

"All I know is one of those two men are responsible for this and they're after something" I said my find flashing to my mate making anger run through me

" I did a background check on Ethan kiroski like you asked but everything we have on file for him is normal, he's registered as human" he said handing me his profile. I looked at the picture of the red headed man reading through the words

Human, 23 years old, father was a hunter, occupation school teacher

"That can't be right his scent wasnt human" I said looking through the pages once more before my eyes stopped on a misspelled word in the document

"Lewis what is that" I said showing the paper to him his eyes widened as he saw the error

"A misspelled word, how could that happen, our team quadruple checks these documents there has never been an inconsistency like this before " he said flipping through the pages with wide eyes.

"Do you think someone could've hacked into our system" I said watching his eyes meet mine with a look of concern

"That's nearly impossible you'd have to be inside of our unit and have access to the data" he said looking down At the ground his body tensed up for a moment as he thought to himself

"Unless.." he said softly

"Unless what " I replied he looked up at me with fearful eyes

"Unless the person was someone who had full access to our system and could easily get past security" he said

"What are you implying Lewis" I said staring down at him. He looked around for a moment before coming closer to me

"I think we might have a mole" he said softly. my eyes widened in disbelief who would do something like that

Before I could respond the soldiers entered the house breathing heavily and shivering.

"Anything" I said to jacob my first in charge he shook his head looking back at his men.

"We found nothing in the territory sir not even a scent" he said I sighed nodding to them

"Thank you, you can go rest" I said watching them bow and retreat back to their rooms

Me and Lewis sat in silence for a moment taking in the situation. A cold breeze blew in from the window making me look at the brick once more.

"What are we going to do Beau" lewis said I thought for a moment letting out another sigh

" all we can do is wait and keep our eyes open, if we do have a mole they'll make a mistake sooner or later. For now let's rest, I'll hold a pack meeting in the morning" I said watching Lewis nod and taking one last look at the broken windows before making his way up the stairs

I walked towards the window staring out into the darkness. Another cold breeze sent a shiver down my spine and an uneasy feeling flooded me. I guess the peaceful period is over.
