I normally hate author's notes at the beginning of a story, but felt it was my duty to include this. This story is not all love and rainbows. It is dark and sad, but I think that makes the evolution of my characters all the more beautiful.

With that said, there are dark themes in this romance.

Abuse is never ok. Please do not look to this story as a roadmap for a real life healthy relationship. My characters are part animal and that's the only reason I allow them to act like this.
