"Baby, are you sure you don't want me to cancel and come help?" I asked Jayden, who was on FaceTime as I walked around my room getting ready. It's been a couple days since we got the news of his studio being burned down.
He shook his head as he opened the front door. "Yes, Bugga, I'm sure. Go ahead and handle things with your father, so you can get it over with. Are you still going shopping after you done."
I nodded my head and pulled on my red North Face jacket. I straightened it up and pulled my braids out, throwing them back. I grabbed my Neverfull, looking inside, making sure I had everything that I needed and more. Pa decided that we was going to have lunch and the sit down at the family bristo because he didn't want Anastasia in our house. "Yes, I'm going to look for stuff for Aspen. I have the coat you bought me, but you know we need other stuff as well."
He nodded his head. "Check your account in a few. Let me know how it goes and if I have to come get you, just send the sos and I'm on my way."
I pouted because why is he so good to me? I shook my head and picked up my phone, purse, and made sure I had my keys before walking out of my room—downstairs. I walked into the kitchen and greeted the staff. I grabbed a strawberry muffin and an apple juice before walking outside.
"Uncle Sav, stop before I beat yo ass!" I bust out laughing when they started passing licks. The phone dropped, and I couldn't do anything but shake my head. I ended the call and sent him a message before climbing into Tizon's Audi A7. He was in my Range for the week. We have been switching cars since we were kids. I sat my purse in the passenger seat, adjusted my seat and pushed the start button before pulling in my seatbelt. I drove around the fountain and out of the driveway.
I've been sitting outside the bristo for about a good twenty-five minutes. I don't want to go in, but I want answers, and the only way to get answers is to go in. I shook my head and pulled my phone out to text Jayden the SOS, but before I could press send, Binky knocked on the window.
"Fuck!" I cursed under my breath and rolled the window down. I gave him a tight-lipped smile.
"Hi."
He gave me a blank stare and pulled the door open, waving his hand. "Getcho ass out the car Junie. You been sitting out here for like thirty minutes like don't nobody check your location every five minutes."
I huffed and pushed the stop button. I unbuckled my seatbelt and grabbed my purse, climbing out of the car. Binky held my hand until I was all the way through and shut the door before walking us to the entrance. He held the door open and I walked in, waving at the hostess before walking to the back room. Being the governor has its perks. I greeted Uncle Noah at the door and opened it. Uncle Jeffery was off for the week because Auntie Sherry, his wife, was having surgery.
"There goes my Junior!"
I smiled at my Pa's excitement. He loved him some me. I hugged his neck and took a seat beside him, not even bothering to acknowledge Anastasia. Binky took my jacket and hooked my purse on the hook that was connected to the chair. He sat beside me, and I laid my head on his shoulder. I watched my father look at us before looking at her. He shook his head and grabbed the small glass that was on the table, which was holding his favorite brown concoction, Scotch.

"Do you guys know you're here?" My daddy asked, making me nod my head. I looked up at Binky and he shook his head no, which I expected.
"Anastasia, tell these kids the truth because it's your fault."
I bit my lip as she looked at me and Bink. I'm not even going to lie; she was beautiful. Nice chocolate skin that looked so soft. Her hair was waist length, but she had it pulled up into a ponytail. By looking at her, I could tell that me and Bink got our looks from our fathers. I knew for a fact that I did. They don't call me Orianne Jr. for nothing.
Anastasia cleared her throat before speaking. "Quintarius, you and Orianne are twins, fraternal twins. You guys are siblings, not cousins. Although Senior raised you, he's not your father. While I was unaware that I was pregnant with Orianne, I cheated and became pregnant with you."
I shook my head and blew out a breath. I had a feeling that cheating was going to be the sob story, but that doesn't give her the right to abandon both of her kids. I'm pretty sure my father didn't deny her the right to see me or Binky. I don't want to hear any excuses. I just want the truth at this point. Bink grabbed my right hand and took it into his, giving it a tight squeeze. I looked at my daddy and he shook his head before picking up his cup.
"That's the bullshit you're going to give them? You're a fucked up individual because you know that's not the truth! Tell them how you stole from me and abandoned them to be with another man to help raise his child! Tell them how you didn't want them! Tell them how you chose drugs and another man over them! Tell them how you left their only parent, ME, for dead when your sorry ass shot me! TELL THEM ANASTASIA! FUCKING TELL THEM!" My daddy hit the table, making me and Binky jump back. Being that me and Binky grew up together in the mansion, we knew how bad my father's anger could get.
I arched my eyebrow once I noticed him break out in a sweat. It's cold as hell in this restaurant, so why is he sweating? "Pa, are you okay?"
He shook his head no before pointing to his chest and rubbing his arm, making me hop up from my chair. I went to his side, placing my hand over his heart, making my eyes go wide. It was racing way too fast. "Call the ambulance! He's having a heart attack!"
"I ca-ca-caan't breathe."
I shook my head with tears rolling down my face. "It's okay Pa, don't talk please."
I bit my bottom lip as the tears cascaded down my face. If this is the type of effect Anastasia has on my father, then I don't want her around at all. I don't care for her and never will. My daddy, aunties, the staff, and my nannies raised me and Binky. She wasn't a mother to us. I rubbed my hand in circles against his chest. I looked over my shoulder once I heard yelling. I knew Uncle Noah and the rest of the security were trying to get everybody out of the way from being nosey, but I knew it wouldn't be long before it hit the news.
"Step out of the way, Juicy." Quintarius said, as he grabbed me by the waist and pulled me away. The paramedics rushed in and immediately got to work.

Once they had him on the gunnery, I snatched all our belongings and ran out behind them. I requested that they take him to Regional Memorial, the hospital where our primary physician is. I don't need any mishaps or anything happening to my daddy. Uncle Noah got in the back with him, and I ran to Tizon's Audi.
"Where do you think you're going?" I asked Anastasia as she followed me to the car.
"I was hoping I could ride with you."
I chuckled and dropped my head. "Ride with me? You've got a lot of damn nerve! You're the reason he had the heart attack in the first fucking place! Anastasia, fuck out of my face and out of our lives! You've caused enough damage for one fucking day. It's not good to hold hate in your heart, but I hate you! You've done nothing but ruin my life, Daddy's, and Quintarius's. When you did pop in and out, you never acknowledged Quin and he's your son just like I'm your daughter. Now you want to be a parent and rekindle things? BULLSHIT! It's too late to rekindle anyfuckingthing! Go back to whatever rock you climbed out from under. We didn't need you then, and we damn sure don't need you now!"
The blood hammered in my ears, and I gripped my chest. My chest pounded as though someone were beating my heart like a drum. My feet tingled, and my hands shook. My vision started to become blurry as the tears flowed. I had to get away from her. I couldn't stay here any longer and will not do so. I forced myself to stop staring at her. I fiddled with the door handle until I had enough concentration to pull it open. I pressed the start button, took a quick, slow deep breath, and then rounded the corner and disappeared into the distance while burning rubber.
My nails were digging into my hands from how tightly I was gripping the steering wheel. I felt as if I had just finished a triathlon because I was breathing very, very hard. My chest tightened as I sobbed louder, and bile started to rise in my throat. My vision was blurred by the crying, so I hit the emergency lights and pulled over. I screamed loudly and punched the steering wheel.
"FUCK! FUCK! FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!" I screamed as I hit the steering wheel repeatedly. I snatched my phone out of my purse so I could call my boyfriend, who answered on the second ring.
"How'd it go, Bugga?"
I shook my head and wiped my face. "Baby, can you meet me at the hospital?"
With all the movement in the background, I could tell he was now up and alert.
"Hospital? What's wrong, Bug? What happened?"
"Pa had a heart attack."
"I'm getting in the car now. Where you at?"
"On the side of the road. I couldn't see because of my crying, so I pulled over. I'm like 20 minutes from Regional."
"Do you need me to come get you?"
"No, just meet me at the hospital please."
"On my way, Bugga."
I hung up the phone and wiped my face before pulling off. I kept the hazards on as I sped down the road. I was swerving in and out of lanes as I sat up in my seat. My hand was at the top of the steering wheel. I was trying not to zone out, because if I did I had a feeling I just might crash, and I didn't want to do that. I whipped into the emergency room parking lot and killed the engine, hopping out. My Vapormax hit the concrete as I ran to the entrance.
"Juice!"
I looked up and saw Armis and the rest of the boys. I ran into NuNu's arms and just cried into his chest. I couldn't lose my daddy. I already didn't have a mama, and I refused to lose the only parent I had.
"I know Juicy, come on, let's go upstairs." Nunu picked me up, and I laid my head on his shoulder as we got on the elevator. They already knew to put Pa in a private wing.
After sitting around for about an hour, Anastasia had the nerve to walk through the door. She probably used the fact that she was still married to my father because SHE didn't sign the divorce papers. I kicked my shoes off and wrapped my braids up, climbing off Jayden's lap. Before I could even punch her, I was snatched up.
"You don't deserve to be here! You're the reason he's laid up in a hospital in the first fucking place! I told you once, but now it looks like I have to tell you again because you are taking me for a joke. LEAVE AND DON'T FUCKING COME BACK! Like, what are you not understanding? HUH?!" I pushed myself off Jayden and walked away. There's just too much going on, and I don't like it. I'm unemployed because people want to play with me and my boyfriend's name. Some delusional bitch is disrespecting me and my boyfriend's relationship. My estranged birthgiver is back, and my father is laid up in the hospital. What a fucked up way to start the new year off.
Life wasn't perfect, but it sure was until she came around. Before going into my father's room, I stopped by the front desk and made sure Anastasia was put on the list. Bitch wasn't allowed anywhere near my father.
"Junie."
I turned around to see Binky standing there with a wet face, red eyes, and a red nose. I pouted because I knew this was a lot for him to take in. I pulled him into a hug and we just cried together. I knew I was always closer to him for a reason, and us having the same birthday was just too suspicious in my eyes.
"We're going to be okay, Bink, I promise." I kissed his cheek and laid my head on his arm as we walked back.
2020 is off to a horrible start, and I'm ready for it to end. Time to wrap this shit up because this is not it. I'm going through stuff. My boyfriend is going through some stuff and I wish all our pain and suffering would just disappear. But I do know for a fact that it won't be long before Anastasia and Kambria are swimming with the sharks. Especially if I have a say-so in the matter.
