Los Angeles, CA

Forcing another mouthful of mint chocolate ice cream down her throat, she sat on the edge of the bed watching re-runs of Baldwin Hills.

The only way she felt like she could escape her feelings was to drown herself into junk food. Surrounding her were empty wrappers of cosmic brownies and zebra cakes. Her stomach so bloated that the tub of ice cream sit on it perfectly with no problems. It's been two days since she kissed her and honestly she wished she never did. Doing that probably cost her to lose Jodie forever and as much as she thought about that scenario, she shoved more ice cream in her mouth.

Having her phone on do not disturb for the pass couple of days, she didn't bother to check it for miss calls from friends or anything dealing with business. Right now she was in a dark place and it was only going to take for her to get herself out of it. Ever since Cynthia picked her up, and she confessed to her that everything she told her was the truth and she hated how she almost ruined their friendship over a fantasy. Jodie hadn't bothered to hit her up or even make a stop by her house—it wasn't like she didn't have her address. So that was Sadie's answer right there—she didn't care nor did she love her in the same way she did.

Finishing the last of the ice cream she placed the tub on the nightstand as she went reaching the remote. Flipping through the channels, she was in the mood for something funny to lighten up her mood—preferably "Martin" or "The Wayans Brothers". It was no where near close to midnight, the time those shows usually aired on BET. Still flipping she stopped on E News when she saw Beverly's face pop up on the screen. She sat all the way up as if she was intrigued.

Giuliana Rancic stood next to Ryan Seacrest in a red body-con dress as she talked about the latest celebrity news. "Word has it that A-list actress Beverly Wells is due to get married tomorrow" she stated

Ryan nodded his hand as he held the note card in the other. "And her fiancé Jodie Pierce, celebrity stylist, gave her a few gifts to kick it off. The screen transferred from them to old pictures of Jodie and Beverly, giving the audience a b-roll sequences of visuals of the two and then the items that she bought as Ryan and Giuliana continued to talk over it. "Seems like she not only upgraded the engagement ring" the screen showing an 18k white oval-cut engagement ring. Sadie's mouth dropped when she seen how beautiful it was on Beverly's finger.

"And how many carats" Giuliana asked Ryan

"10 carats, that estimated about three hundred thousand" he said

"What!" Sadie said to herself, this was all too much. Pictures of Jodie getting on one knee again to present the new ring to Beverly almost made her throw the remote at the TV. The jealousy and hurt she felt through her veins were unexplainable.

"But that wasn't all" Ryan said, the camera now putting them both back in view, "she also bought the community center Beverly use to attend when she was just ten years old. While she was there, this is the place she went to for drama and theatre classes. If it wasn't for that center, Beverly said, she doesn't think she would be a good as an actress today"

"Yes" Giuliana nodded, "the two are scheduled to get married tomorrow at an enclosed area, from The E News crew and my self and Ryan we wish these two the best of luck" she said with a smile.

The screen cut to a commercial as she just stared. So many thoughts and emotions were filling the room. If Jodie wanted to act like nothing happened then that was on her—Sadie on the other hand wasn't going for none of that. She began to frantically search her bed for her phone. Lifting up the sheets and knocking over the pillows she still was left with nothing. Going into panic mode she hopped out of bed, snatching the sheets completely off thinking that maybe it would fall but still nothing. She wasn't worried about her phone two minutes ago but now she felt like her world was flipped upside down. Looking over on the nightstand where her empty tub of ice cream sat she didn't notice it there either. "Okay" she mumbled to herself, "calm down first" she said as she slowly went to close her eyes and started to take deep breathes in and out.

Calming down her nerves, and when she felt like she was back to herself she opened them. Her phone wasn't on the bed or the nightstand so that only meant that it had to fall somewhere. A smile cracked on her face as she bent down, her knees pressing against the hardwood floor. As she began to look under the bed, there was her phone not too far away, covered with more wrappers of snacks. Pushing them out the way she reach for it to retrieve it. Bringing it to her face so she could see how many calls she missed, she was amazed that it wasn't that many. Just a few from Mike and Cynthia but they knew her situation so they probably realized nothing was wrong—she just had to figure it out by herself.

Holding it up so it could verify her face, it unlocked. She went straight to her contacts searching for his number. Today was her bachelorette party and the only person she could get in contact with, who she knew was there—was Jay. When she found it and immediately pressed on it, bringing it to her ear. It rung a couple times before it went to his generic voicemail. But Sadie wasn't stopping there, she was fed up and whenever she got this, she didn't stop until she got her way. She pressed his number again, calling for a second time. It rung about three times before Jay's voice pierced her ears. "Hello Sadie" he said,

"Hey" she said back, wanting to get pass all the greeting and straight to her reasoning for calling him.

"Need something?"

"Actually" she started, as she finally stood to her feet. "I've been trying to get in contact with Jodie, she never sent me the details to the party" she lied. Crossing her fingers, hoping that Jodie didn't tell neither Jay or Brad about what happened in the fitting room.

"Oh for real?" He said, it was going on eight o'clock at night as she looked at the clock.

"Yeah so, do you mind sending me the address"

"I mean sure but the party hasn't started yet, we're still setting up the room for her"

She mentally rolled her eyes as she went looking for her slippers. "That's fine, I just don't want to hear her mouth about not coming"Jay laughed on the other end, from the day he caught her in distress, he knew something was up and he knew it probably had something to do with Jodie. Either way, it wasn't his business and that's why she was so comfortable in calling him.

"Okay I'll send you my location" he told her.

She sighed as a sign of relief, clenching her chest to show how grateful she was. "Thank you so much Jay"

"No problem" he said before they both ended the call.

Sadie hurriedly went to her closet and threw on a hoodie. She was already sitting in the bed with some spandex shorts and a sports bra. Finally finding her slippers, she left her room with the TV still playing E News. Making her way down the hall, she saw her keys laying on the kitchen island. Jay hadn't even sent her his location and she was already out her door going to her Jeep. Just as she hopped it, her phone ding, letting her know that she had a message. When she say it was from Jay and he indeed sent her his location. She clapped her hands together as if she accomplished a mission.

Pulling out the driveway, she held the phone in one hand as her other steered the wheel. Sadie knew she was being dumb at this moment, popping up at Jodie's party the night before her wedding day. But who cares, she was tired of putting everyone else feelings before hers just to see others happy. What about her? When was she going to get the same treatment that she gave others? Before them crossing paths, Sadie was content with her life. Yeah she would lurk every now and then on her page but she never had to worry about seeing her in person. It was just a feeling she had towards her—and then when everything came together and Jodie was back in her life, the feeling she felt was so much more. It was the love that she once told Cynthia she longed for when they were at the spa. The love that she seen in movies and somehow they always ended happy. This was the complete opposite for her. She was speeding down Los Angeles streets just trying to get to the place she knew Jodie was at.

Her plan was to corner her in and force her to express herself. If it turns out she didn't feel nothing for Sadie—she would just leave with a broken heart and probably that would be the end of their friendship for good. It only took her approximately seventeen minutes to get from Los Angeles to Beverly Hills. Pulling up to the lot, she parked in the first spot she saw—not even giving herself a chance to turn off the ignition before she was already one foot out the car.

Sadie didn't have a plan, she didn't know the first thing she was going to say or do when she saw Jodie. Walking up the pathway to the hotel double doors, they slid open once they detected motion. The cool air from the conditioner in the front lobby caused goosebumps to appear on Sadie's exposed legs. She noticed a man and a lady standing at the front desk. Not trying to make it obvious that she didn't know where she was going, she gave them a quick smile as if she was a guest and kept walking. As she walked, she happened to text Jay and ask what was the room number.

A group of girls were getting off the elevator once the doors opened. She didn't know how far she was going up but she knew she was going to make her way up there. Feeling her phone vibrate then followed by a ding, she noticed that he texted the room number to her. "Room 453" she said to herself. She felt bad for even getting Jay involved, when it all came down to it—he was just an innocent bystander.

Her French tips pressed the number floor, waiting for the doors to finally close which they eventually did. Her legs shaking with the rhythm of her heart beat. She was nervous and she had every right to be.

Jodie hurt her whether she meant to or not—she did. There were no more tears left to cry, everything she had left was gone. Now all she felt was sorrow and helplessness. The elevator announced that she had arrived as she checked out her thoughts. Stepping out onto the red carpet she followed the signs that told her which way the numbers went. It didn't take her long, before she was standing right in front of the door—hesitant on knocking on it. She could hear faint voices and low music playing but she couldn't make out how many people where in attendance. "Man fuck y'all" she heard someone say then followed by the door being opened.

She stood there frozen as if she was invisible. Maybe if she didn't move no one would see her there. Jay turned his head and looked at her, confused on what she was doing. "How long you was out here?" He asked with a chuckle.

"Not long was just about to knock" she lied

He nodded his head as he stepped out farther, still holding on to the door with his fingertips, "shit everybody in there, you can go in" he stated

Who was everybody, Sadie thought. She was already bold enough to show up uninvited, she didn't want to make a show in front of Jodie's friends. "Everybody?" She repeated

"Just the gang, go ahead" he motioned for her to come in.

She thought about it for a second but didn't want to bitch out on her reasoning for coming here. She sighed as he lifted up his arm to allow her to go up under it. When she was inside, she saw a few girls sitting on the couch, wearing nothing but pasty's on their breast and a thong. They looked at her with a mug as they went back to drinking out the bottle.

Brad wasn't too far away, he was standing outside on the balcony smoking a blunt with a few others. It was dry and that only meant that Jodie wasn't here yet which was a good thing. She wanted to express herself right now—she didn't want to wait and then her mind would get to wonder and she might change her mind and leave. "Oh shit Sadie" Brad yelled holding his arms up for her to acknowledge him. He slid back the screen door from the balcony and stepped his way back in the room. "I didn't know you was coming" he said again, his eyes so low he could barely keep them open.

"Yeah last minute" she mumbled, still looking around her surroundings. A few bottles were set up as well as finger foods like wings, chip and dip and etc. It was known that Jodie's bachelorette party was just a get together with her closet friends. So the girls that were sitting on the couch had to be strippers who Sadie knew Jodie wouldn't be happy about.

"Where's Jodie" she asked

"Uh" he looked down at his watch then back at her, "I think Jay just went to go get her from downstairs"

He leaned down at the coffee table, reaching for a bottle of peach Ciroc. "Here" he offered but she quickly declined. She already wasn't in her right state of mind for coming in the first place—she didn't need liquor in her system to make the situation worst. "You know" he started to say, "I asked Jodie were you coming tonight and she told me no" he rubbed his non-existent chin hair.

"Y'all ready for this party!" Jay screamed from behind her. Brad screamed as well, holding the bottle up in the air. She turned to look and locked eyes with Jodie. Her heart sank soon as she saw her face. She regretted coming just that fast.

"Turn that music up" Brad yelled, then walking over to the girls, pulling them up on their feet. "Shake that shit" he told them

Jodie and Sadie still in their own world as they never broke eye contact. Jay didn't mind them as he went to join the party with Brad. "What are you doing here?" Jodie whispered, as she approached her.

"I-I-I" feeling the knot in her throat began to get tighter and tighter. Jodie grabbed her hand, and began to walk out of the front area and into the bedroom. When they were there, Sadie sighed, already knowing how this was going to go. Not forgetting to close the door behind them, Jodie finally turns back around, giving Sadie her undivided attention.

"Why are you here?" She asked again, but this time with a little annoyance in her tone.

"We need to talk"

"About what exactly?" She furrowed her brows.

"You know what Jodie stop acting like you don't know. You kissed me!"

"Correction" she held out her finger, "you kissed me"

"But you didn't stop me" Sadie tried to prove her point, "and not only that but then you ghost me for days after I confess how I felt about you. As long as we've known each other I thought we were better than that."

"Sadie" she said her name, her eyes looking down at the floor, "honestly I don't have time for this"

"So you don't care about me? Look me in my face and tell me you don't feel what I feel. Tell me you don't love me and I'll leave right now"

She meant every word and honestly it would break her heart to hear Jodie say no but it was something she was going to have to deal with. Jodie stood there not saying a word. In the background you could hear the music getting louder as well as Brad voice. The party was going on without the host and at this point Sadie was over it. "So now you're mute? Be real, you're a grown woman who's capable of expressing her feelings so speak up. Do you love me or not?"

Jodie eyes finally looking up again, they were glossy indicating that she was on the verge of tears. It's been a while since she seen her like this and all she wanted to do was comfort her but not until she got her answer. "Sadie I do love you. I've always have but—" Sadie cutting her off by rushing towards her and immediately started kissing her. That was all she needed to hear, there was no but—she got her answer and she felt like nothing could go wrong.

Her hands resting on Jodie's face as the kiss deepen. It was amazing how the two tongues wrestled for control but neither were giving up. Jodie hands creeping under Sadie's hoodie. This was actually going somewhere and Sadie knew it. She slowly started to push Sadie back on the bed until she fell straight on her back—their lips never a-parting. Jodie hands now rested on her breast until they both pulled away. "Take this off" Jodie said to her, referring to the hoodie she was wearing.

She didn't question her motive and instead, leaned up a little. Reaching from the bottom of her hoodie, pulling it up so she could get it over her head. When she did, she was now back in her sports bra and spandex shorts. Jodie eyeing her like she was some type of meat, "Now these" she pulled at the spandex

"Jod-"

"Want me to take them off?" She questioned, having nothing but a blank expression. Never losing eye contact, she stood to her feet, stripping out of the shorts. Within seconds she was standing in front of Jodie fully nude, her peaky b cups were sitting perfectly. Her curves lined up with her thin waist and her small petite butt.

"Man" Jodie said, admiring the beauty that was in front of her. She cracked a smile once she noticed how confused Sadie was. She then began to remove her clothes one by one. This was going to be a night to remember and the two didn't think about how much this could damage their relationship. But being so stuck in the moment— none of that mattered.

Jodie stepping forward so close her nipples were touching Sadie's. She pecked her lips a couple times, "you sure" she asked

Sadie couldn't be even more sure than she already was. She just told the person she love how she truly felt and for Jodie to say the same—this was everything she ever wanted and more. "I'm more than sure" she leaned in and kissed her. Jodie smiled which only caused Sadie to do the same.

"I love you" Jodie said as she pushed Sadie back on the bed and she fell on top.
