Mike bumping the ends of her hair as Cynthia outline her lips with a dark brown lip liner. The two man duo was back together and Sadie couldn't be more happier.
"So enlighten me please" Mike said as he looked at her through the mirror. Her skin coated in shimmery glitter by Rihanna Fenty. Sadie already knew what he was going to say. Today she made the decision to go to a movie premiere but not just any premiere—Beverly's. Jodie asked her two days ago and she didn't want to make a scene. If she was to say no, then that would've caused Jodie to asked questions—questions that Sadie didn't have the answers too nor did she really want to answer. Cynthia not paying them any mind as she reached for the Mac butter gloss in the color fortune cookie to apply on Sadie's lips.
"What made you think this was a good idea" he said again, laying the curl that was in his hand down to her shoulder.
"I don't hate Beverly" she stated, watching as Cynthia laughed to herself and Mike mugging her still through the mirror.
"Trying to convince yourself or us?"
"I'm serious" she pushed forward to turn and look at him, "I barely know her so there's no reason for me not to like her"
"Okay" was all he said, lightly turning her head back around.
"Do you have anything to say?" She side eyed Cynthia who motioned for her to blot her lips.
"I'm minding my business on this one" she laughed, going in with a little highlight. Despite it all, Sadie didn't have any worries for tonight, yeah of course she was celebrating the premiere of a movie Beverly was in but when it all came down to it, she was really there for Jodie.
And with the mini last minute date with Stephanie, it went well so she decided to invite her to be her plus one. She thought maybe that would convince them both—Beverly and Jodie that she didn't have any feelings towards her. That was the plan and she was determine to execute it.
Mike used a wide tooth comb to loosen up the tight curls. Having just finished cutting layers in her hair earlier they were falling over her face like dominos. She wore a gold sheer mesh with rhinestone crop top and shorts. With a white blazer jacket that was an asymmetrical design—the shoes she wore were simple white strap heels. Just as she got up from the chair, the doorbell rung. "It's probably your driver" Cynthia said, leaving Mike and her in her bathroom. Staring at her reflection in the mirror, she gave herself a smile as she left out the conjoined bathroom. Now standing foot in her room, she heard faint voices coming from the front end of the house.
"So" Mike said, unplugging the curling irons, "when were you going to tell me about your date with Stephanie" Sadie frown and that only caused him to laugh, "Cynthia told me" he continued to clean up the mess he made while doing her hair.
"It was different" she stated, walking over to her nightstand to find her signature necklace she always loved to wear.
"Did the night end with a kiss?"
"See I don't know" she stopped, to clamp the two ends of the necklace together, "I don't know who in my business more, you or Cynthia"
"Cynthia" he blurted. The two couldn't help but laugh in unison and just as her name was just spoken, she came in the room with a cheesy smile.

"Your date awaits you" she bowed
"Girl" Sadie laughed, reaching for her perfume and sprayed herself all over before she laid it back down.
"She looks gorgeous, she gone have you saying Jodie who?" She shook her head just off the thought of it.
Sadie ignored her as she made her way out the room. Her perfume lingering behind her like a lost puppy. As she walked down the short hallway, she could see the person who had to be Stephanie back turned towards her as she looked at the different art work that hung on the walls.
"It's a man and a woman" she said causing Stephanie to turn around quickly. Her hand placed over her chest as if Sadie scared her. "Sorry" she smiled, walking closer to her to take in her appearance. Sadie never seen her without her uniform on and one thing for sure she couldn't complain. Her caramel skin was covered in light makeup and although she felt like she didn't need it—she was still gorgeous. Stephanie decided to channel her masculine feminine style and wore a pair of white sharply tailored suit pants teamed with a blazer with one button snapped together to show off a black lace bra she wore underneath—pairing the whole fit with some simple slip on heels. Her curly hair pulled up in a bun to show off not only the Diamond studs but, the tattoo alongside her neck that read "Walk by Faith".
"Okay" she said snapping her fingers as her eyes trailed down Stephanie body, "you look—"
"We both look good" she cut her off with a simple smile.
Just by staring at her, she wondered why she always turned a blind eye on her—she wasn't hard to look at if anything she was really Sadie's type. She stretched out her hand, waiting for Stephanie to take ahold—when she did, the two strutted their way towards the door. Cynthia and Mike being parents, standing at the end of the hall, smiling as if they were sending their daughter off to prom or something.
When the front door swung open, Sadie's driver who was waiting outside the car this entire time—leaned over to open the back door. They took carefully steps not wanting to have both tumble down her concrete steps before they even arrived at the premiere. They made it to the last step walking over to the parked SUV, stepping aside she allowed Stephanie to get in first before she did. Her driver nodded, as he held out a hand to help her in. When they were situated, he lightly closed the door and jogged his way to the driver side.
Stephanie sitting two inches away from Sadie, she couldn't help but to grab her hand. "Nervous?" Sadie asked, knowing that this was a lot for Stephanie, she never experience this type of treatment let along went to an event like this. Stephanie dark brown eyes, twinkling as she looked over at her. "Is it a certain way I'm supposed to talk, act—" she stopped to gather her thoughts, "do I have to change my walk?" She asked in seriousness but Sadie couldn't help but to laugh in the inside.
"Change your what" she laughed, "listen" she gripped her hand a little tighter, "close your eyes" she told.
Stephanie who was already nervous was now confused. She hesitated for a second but then closed her eyes. "Now tonight just think of this just being an ordinary get together with a group friends"
"But it's not" Stephanie pouted
"Just imagine" Sadie responded, "besides the cameras, this is just one big get together nothing more. If anything I will do all the talking—you're just my arm candy, the person who makes me look good"

Stephanie eyes opened slowly once she heard those words leave Sadie's mouth. Using her other hand she placed it against Sadie's cheek. "Now take a deep breath" she said again, waiting for Stephanie to do what she was told. A smile appeared on her face as she took a deep breath as it was visible to see her chest rise a little. "Now exhale"
Blowing out the air that filled her lungs, Stephanie leaned forward, pressing her gloss lips against Sadie. To say it caught her by surprise was an understatement but she didn't pull away. The two shared their first kiss, lips smacking with all the gloss behind transfer from lip to lip. In Sadie's mind she knew Cynthia would've been pissed that she was messing up her lip combo but she would be even more happy that Sadie was getting action.
"I had too" Stephanie said against Sadie's lips, "they were just there staring at me"
"Well you're not nervous no-more I guess"
Stephanie laughed as she pecked her lips one last time before wrapping the corners of Sadie's mouth where she happened to have gloss all around.
After being in the backseat for what had to be about fifteen minutes, the SUV that they were in was being directed to the front. Cars lined up as different celebrities came out to the premiere of "Shattered Love" a true love story written by the bestselling author Isis Jones. As Sadie's driver pulled up next, he put the vehicle in park as he pushed the drivers side door open. Within second he was on their side, holding the door open. Sadie held his hand as her feet touched the curb. Fully out, she motioned for him to let her help Stephanie. Hearing people shouting and the flash from the cameras she could see her nerves were back but as long as she was here there wasn't nothing to worry about.
"Is that Sadie Holman!" Someone yelled, as Stephanie placed her hand into Sadie's to step out. "And she has a date"
The two were color coordinated and both were beautiful. Still holding her hand she led the way, as Stephanie was right behind her. Before they went all the way in, the concrete of the theater's forecourt were covered in handprints—hand prints of nearly two hundred Hollywood celebrities from stars such as Martin Lawrence, Adam Sandler, Samuel L. Jackson, Stan Lee and Will Smith. The red carpet had Chinese symbols embroidered in it.
Feeling the pinch of a hand, she turned to see Stephanie smile at her. She mouthed "you okay?" and her response back was a nod.
"Sadie!" a person yelled, "Ms. Sadie Holman can I have a word" turning she sees a white male wearing a traditional white and black tuxedo. He looked anxious but yet excited to see her. Moving through the other celebrities on the carpet she made her way to him.
"Can I just say this is unexpected" he said looking at her in awe
"What me being here or my date" she stated, there was no hiding it no-more—people now knew what side she swung on.
"Honestly both" he laughed, "can I ask you what your wearing?"
"Just a simple little something I found in my closet" she joked
The clicking of camera flashing became like music to her ears. She knew Stephanie had to be overwhelmed. "Can I just say, it's very unexpected to see you at a premiere, you're rarely even at events if it doesn't involve modeling"
"Yes I know" she nodded, leaning more into the mic, "I'm here for support of a friend"
He eyed Stephanie then looked at Sadie, "And who is th—"
"Beverly Beverly over here!" Multiple paparazzi screamed after her. The man that was interviewing Sadie even decided to look which only compelled her to do the same.
Gorgeous as ever, the woman of the hour, arrived in a pink heart shaped dress with a big puffy bow tied in the front. Her hair slicked back, giving that wet look to show off the pink rhinestone that was covered on the side of her eyes. She stood at the beginning of the carpet, posing as paparazzi's snapped away on their cameras. Coming up on the side of her was Jodie. Her hair freshly twisted as the twisties draped over her face, the baby pink pants suit she wore with a fresh pair of Air Force ones made her ash brown skin pop more. The two look inevitable—a straight power couple.
Not even realizing the man was talking to her again, she pulled Stephanie to keep moving forward inside the building. "Don't you want to go say hi" she said, looking over her shoulder then pointing towards them.
"We can see them inside" she stated, walking up to the overly large golden doors.
All seats were assigned, and Beverly being one of the main characters, she was placed in the front row. Right behind her sat, Sadie and Stephanie. The 94ft x 46ft silver screen curved right in front of them as the theatre seated 932 people. Within minutes, she saw Beverly being escorted to her sit with Jodie right behind. When the two locked eyes, Beverly cheesed and leaned forward over the seat.
"Oh my god you came" she squealed, pressuring Sadie to give her a hug—which she did. Jodie glanced at Stephanie then back at Sadie confused.
"You look amazing by the way" Sadie said and meant every word, "this is Stephanie—Stephanie this is Beverly and Jodie" she introduced them so it wouldn't be no awkwardness.
"I loved you in A Butterfly Without Wings" Stephanie fan girl, "it had to be the best movie of yours"
Beverly placed her hand over her heart, leaning over to Stephanie to give her a hug as well. Jodie sitting down right in front of them haven't even said a word yet. "That means so much and I'm so glad you two could come" Beverly said being the sincere person she was only drove Sadie even more envy. "Please let me know how you like the movie" she said once more being turning around and sitting in her seat. Jodie acting funny only caused Sadie to wonder so she tapped her on the shoulder, her head turning just slightly.
Sadie leaned forward, to whisper in her ear. "No hi or thanks for coming—nothing" she said with a little annoyance in her tone.
"Hi Sadie" she dry responded, turning her body half way around to look at Stephanie "hi" she faked smile, "Jodie, Beverly's soon to be wife"
The words cut Sadie like a sharp knife. "I know who you are" Stephanie grinned, "I love your work as well"
"Good to know Sadie brought a fan" she said without even thinking. Sadie could see Beverly conversation with her co Star Tristan Mack Wilds come to a halt. She smoothly tried to hide the hit she gave Jodie in the leg.
"Not a fan just like your work" Stephanie said killing her with kindness. Sadie couldn't believe what she just said let alone the attitude she had towards her. Finally sitting back in the seat, she couldn't help but to lean over to Stephanie.
"I'm sorry" was all she said
Stephanie waved her off, "it's okay trust me" she said with a smile.
Even through all that, the movie itself was good. The storyline was about the author Isis, meeting her first love when they were just twelve, not knowing that they would be together in high school. The troubles of their relationship and their breakups didn't stop their love, no matter what they went through they always came back to each other for it to only end forever—the character that was played well by Tristan Mack Wilds played Beverly's love interest.
When the credits started to roll, hand claps could be heard throughout the theatre. The stars of the movie, stood as the light came back on. In unison, they grabbed each other hands and did a bow in front of the crowd. Standing up with everyone else, Sadie clapped as well—no matter what she felt towards Beverly she couldn't deny the girl was a great actress.
"I just want to say" the author Isis, spoke into the mic, "that this film meant so much to me and to see it actually come to life is a feeling I can't even explain. And to the great people who played their parts well" she glanced down the line of all the stars, "Thank you for telling my story the right way"
Everyone clapped again, as flashes began to take place. "Ready" she asked Stephanie, and her saying that caused Jodie to turn around.
She didn't say anything but just looked. Sadie grabbed Stephanie hand and helped her out the aisle. The movie was over and she no longer wanted to be here. Just out of respect she walked towards Beverly. She waited a moment as she saw she was posing for pictures. When she was done, she stepped forward with Stephanie on the side of her. "Congratulations on the movie Beverly" Sadie said offering a hug and Beverly couldn't resist.
"Thank you so much for coming, and you too Stephanie"
"No thank you" Stephanie said, "the movie had me crying my eyes out"
"It's Isis story, I'm just acting my part" she stated
"And you did it well" Stephanie told her which caused her to smile.
After saying their goodbyes they headed out. She didn't bother to say anything to Jodie for the simple fact of the way she was acting tonight. It was her who invited Sadie—it wasn't like she just showed up. Walking down the red carpet, she spotted her driver. Once they were in the car, she felt like a weight was lifted off her shoulders. That unexpected night was finally over and she could go home and rest.
"So glad I'm not famous" Stephanie blurted, "people all in your face 24/7 will cause me to spazz out unintentionally" she watched as she sat back in the seat not looking tense like she was before. "And Jodie" she started, "you two have something?" She questioned
"She's with Beverly why would you eve-"
"No I'm not trying to start anything or be in your business it just—she was rude unless that just how she is"
Sadie nodded, agreeing with what she said about Jodie's behavior, she was weird tonight and she didn't know why.
"No, she's not usually like that" she shrugged her shoulders
"I thought so, that's why I asked if you two-"
"We're friends nothing more nothing less" she cut her off
"I don't know" Stephanie mumbled, reaching up at her bun to finally take it down, once her hair fell to her shoulder she shook it. "The way she looked at me just gave me those vibes especially since she called me a fan because I loved her work"
"If we weren't at an upscale event I probably would've reached over that seat" Stephanie said again, not paying no mind of Sadie watching her every move. "I don't know Sadie she seemed jealous"
"She wasn't" she tried to shut down any assumptions. Stephanie finally caught on and decided to stop talking about it. Whether she was right or not—it wasn't her business.

When my father was alive he always wanted to go to Tyndall Quantic Soren high school, but to the common people it was known as an elite school, but in reality, it is a school for those who are more than simple humans. My mother told me to fulfill his last wish and go to that school, but I am not that excited about it. Well, whatever. This time things seem more complicated than before, and I have no idea how long this time will last.
