《Detention (DNF)》Twelve

The next day, at lunch, Karl and Nick were nowhere to be seen. Pretty suspicious, if you ask me.
Clay, Bad, Alex and I were sitting at a table, and I was munching on a cookie that Clay had bought me, against my wishes. Alex and Bad were both silently watching us, and I felt uncomfortable.
"What?" I finally asked them. Alex shrugged, and Bad looked away, pretending to be distracted.
Clay seemed to remember something, and reached into his bag. He pulled out another Mars bar.
"Here."
I looked at it, confused. "Are you gonna start bringing me these every day?"
"Yup, until we run out. Here."
I took it gratefully, and unwrapped it. I'd given up on refusing Clay's generosity, and he had rich parents anyways, so it was okay.
As I bit into it, he spoke again. "But there's a catch. What were you doing with Sarah yesterday?"
This seemed to pique Bad and Alex's interest. "Ooh, drama," Alex teased.
I hushed them. "It was nothing, she just wanted to get coffee."
He looked suspicious. "Why did you go to her room afterwards?"
Bad hushed Alex, who'd started going "oooh" again.
"There's nothing between us," I huffed. "She's leaving for France in like a week or something, anyways."
This seemed to satisfy Clay, and he stopped asking questions. Alex turned to Bad.
"First Nick and Karl start disappearing together, and now Clay and George like eachother. It's just us now, huh?"
"Don't even think about it, you muffin," Bad said, biting into his sandwich. Alex started making kissing noises, and Bad shoved him off, yelling "Hey!"
I shook my head at his dumb antics. The bell rang, and we got up, heading to our foods class. We said bye to Bad, on our way out.
We saw Nick already waiting at the counter when we got in, and immediately Alex started interrogating him.
"Where were you? What did you do with Karl? Have you guys fucked?"
"What the hell, Alex!" Nick shouted, embarrassed. "We did nothing, just went to get milkshakes from the diner. Chill out."
The teacher started talking, and we shut up. Time to get cooking, again.

Dark Of The Sun
Jordan, the last living Sorceress of Bal’Talanor blood, has come of age at last. She is the rightful Heir, but she has grown up on Earth, unmindful of her identity. She has never heard of the world of Andoherra, nor of World Queens, and, to her, magic is nothing but a parlour trick. When she accidentally finds her way back to her homeland, she discovers her true nature, her awakening power – and the flamboyant Fire Queen who stands between her and her destiny. Calyx is a deadly Sorceress bound by duty to protect Jordan. She will stop at nothing to restore the heir to the throne and slay all those who stand in the way. This should be an easy task – well within the capabilities of her immense magic – but there are three things she didn’t bargain for: losing Jordan, a vengeful dragon, and the small problem of feelings for her mortal enemy, Nerys. Most frustrating of all, she doesn’t have long to debate which issue is the more pressing concern. The starving world of Andoherra is sliding toward total self-destruction, and all the magic in existence doesn't appear to be able to make a damned thread of difference.

Naga rising (Final version)
Eshanai used to think that her life was pretty good, that the elders of her tribe of Naga sisters had their best interests at heart. But one suspiciously regular disaster after another sort of makes you question things. So when Eshanai decides to go out on the island to do the unthinkable, break some rules, and nothing terrible happens to her like the elders said it would, her questions start to multiply. What else could the elders be wrong about? Were the Naga really chosen by the spirits? And could there be other people out there, beyond their island? Follow Eshanai and some of her sisters as she tries to find a way to leave the island and comes up with increasingly creative ways to get into a certain Oni's pants. Author's note: This is not a rewrite of my original Naga rising story. It's more of a reimagining, as it contains many of the same characters and settings but will have a completely different plot. Be advised that the two are not related to one another. This should not be seen as any form of sequel or prequel story. So I have caught up to my backlog, and at first, I thought I could release a chapter once a week. That turned out to be unrealistic as I am writing in my spare time, so periods of inaction might not be uncommon. Some of the tags might not come into effect until later on in the story.
