"Qianchi!!!"
Fei Qianchi sat with his legs crossed in deep meditation as the surrounding Qi around him was heavily dense. There was a light glowing from his body, and at this sudden voice, he opened his blue eyes, the Qi evaporating. Then, he lightly shook his head with a light smile on his face. Two week had passed by since getting situated to his new life. Ever since then, Fei Qianchi found that everyone accepted him and treated him just like family.
Getting up, Fei Qianchi fixed his robes, his long white hair was put into a small crown, holding his hair back. "Senior Sister." Fei Qianchi opened the door to his room as a pair of bright eyes looked at him.
Standing opposite of him, Zhang Bingmei's eyes widened. "You're already on the seventh layer of Foundation Establishment? What kind of genius are you?" Her voice was very bright, a pure voice full of shock.
Fei Qianchi could only sheepishly smile. "Master gave me a new cultivation book to follow. I've also been getting pointers from Senior Sister Fu and Senior Brother Hou." Fei Qianchi smiled lightly as he explained.
Zhang Bingmei rolled her eyes with a mischievous look, "Well, just don't ask Fanfan. He won't be able to help much." Then, she lurched forward, her petite figure latching onto Fei Qianchi's arm and she pulled him forward.
Fei Qianchi felt his body getting pulled and could do nothing but follow Zhang Bingmei.
"Come, Master is choosing a weapon for you. I heard that he went out on a mission with some other elders in the sect just to get that sword for you." Zhang Bingmei explained as she pulled Fei Qianchi through the garden of herbs.
Fei Qianchi furrowed his brows, "Is that why Master was gone for so long?" If so, then it explained a lot.
Zhang Bingmei nodded her head, "Well, it wouldn't be considered long. Usually, Master enters secluded cultivation for a very long time, even up to tens of years. Unfortunately, Master has experienced a stagnant in his cultivation so he is trying to find enlightenment. After all, only someone like you can cultivate through layers so easily. I keep forgetting that you're only 16 years old." Zhang Bingmei pouted.
Fei Qianchi lightly chuckled. "Is that what you think of me?" Fei Qianchi rubbed Zhang Bingmei's head. Although she was older than him, Fei Qianchi couldn't help but think of her as a younger sister. It didn't help that he towered a bit over her even though he was still growing.
"Of course! The Shuihua Peak is considered the strongest Peak. Although we don't have many disciples, our strength easily outmatches all the other peaks. With you, the Shuihua Peak will only get stronger. I can't wait to show off my Junior Brother to everyone." Zhang Bingmei concluded as she pulled Fei Qianchi into the the red-tinted building.
Fei Qianchi looked around. Although he has been here a few times now, he knew that this hall belonged to Tian Sichan, hence he rarely stepped in here.
As they stepped further into the hall, Tian Sichan stood, already waiting for them. By him, Hou Mengshu was also present with a gentlemanly smile on his face.
Fei Qianchi and Zhang Bingmei stepped forward, cupping their fists, "This disciple greets Master."
Tian Sichan scrunched his face up at that, putting up a hand as he declared, "No need for such formalities. After years of my own disciples repeatedly forgetting my words, I can't get used to such titles."

Zhang Bingmei got up and stuck her tongue out at Tian Sichan, who merely glanced her way. Hou Mengshu shook his head.
Fei Qianchi stepped forward, fixing his attire as he also called out, "Senior Brother."
Hou Mengshu nodded his head at that, a kind look in his eyes.
"Here, Qianchi, step forward." Tian Sichan called.
Fei Qianchi tilted his head, but he stepped forward without questioning anything. His steps were very light. Although 16, his body was taller and stronger than others his age. Not to mention, even his features were refined.
Tian Sichan rubbed his storage ring, a ripple was felt in the air as a sword appeared, floating in the air.
Fei Qianchi stared at the sword. The sword was beautiful, a white sword entangled with blue running through it. There was a red line running on the scabbard of the sword, a jadeite imbedded on the handle of the sword.
"I searched a long time before finding a sword that would suit your ice roots. This sword has some backstory so I had to fight against the other elders before I could take the sword." Tian Sichan explained. "I believe this is the sword that the previous ruler, Chu Fengzhuang used when defeating the demonic cultivators. After he sacrificed himself, his sword was able to survive and was sealed behind in the abandoned ruins deep within Henhe forest."
Fei Qianchi, having heard the backstory behind this sword, had worry within his eyes. "Will the sword allow me to become its wielder?"
"I also don't know. Chu Fengzhuang's sword was said to be a strong sword with a will of its own. It's said that many cultivators have fought to take this sword but was unable to circulate their Qi into the sword. But, there is something special about you. I believe that it will allow you a chance." Tian Sichan replied.
Fei Qianchi stared at the sword that floated in the air before him. He could see it, the blue light that was glowing off of the sword. He took a step forward, his heart beating hard against his chest. Suddenly, the sword vibrated.
Zhang Bingmei flew back, her robes being hit with a harsh gust of wind, even Hou Mengshu had to back up. Only Tian Sichan was still standing in the same spot, as if unharmed by the Qi the sword was suddenly radiating.
Fei Qianchi discovered that he was unharmed. Without hesitating anymore, Fei Qianchi's pale hand stretched out to the sword, gently holding the handle of the sword.
The sword pulsed under his hand, a bright light shining from the light with another Qi attack.
Zhang Bingmei blocked her eyes from the light as Hou Mengshu hurried to her and fought off the attack of Qi from attacking her. He looked at Tian Sichan, who stood without a change on his face.
Fei Qianchi felt a warm current from his hand, discovering that the sword was already gulping his Qi, accepting it without pushing him away. A smile spread on his face as he looked up at Tian Sichan.
Tian Sichan nodded his head, "Give the sword a name. From here on, this sword will belong to you and only you. In life and death, the sword will follow you. Shall you ever die, the sword will follow. Unless the sword is too strong and can survive the severing of your connection, it will shatter with your death."
Fei Qianchi held the sword in his hand, going through a few names. Finally, he held the sword tightly, feeling it pulse under his hand and he opened his mouth, "Baihe, white river is the name that I will give my sword." Fei Qianchi smiled brightly as he said this, and in turn, the sword gave out one bright flash.

"Baihe, a good name that suits you too." Tian Sichan nodded, his peach blossom eyes curved with a smile on his lips. "Mengshu and Bingmei, return back first. The two of you still need to cultivate diligently if you two are to participate in the yearly sect competition"
"Yes, Master." Unfortunately, Hou Mengshu and Zhang Bingmei could only leave. Zhang Bingmei turned around, giving one final wink towards Fei Qianchi as she left the hall.
Fei Qianchi looked up at Tian Sichan, his hand held on tightly to Baihe. This sword... it felt familiar to him.
Fei Qianchi glanced up at Tian Sichan, who had his arms crossed behind his back.
"Master, is there something else you wish to inform me?" Fei Qianchi's voice was very calming. Paired with his appearance, it seemed to perfectly suit him. His blue eyes gazed at Tian Sichan.
Tian Sichan's eyes were closed for a short second. As he opened them back up, he stated, "The sword has accepted you. In the future, do be careful. Many know of Baihe as Shuangguang, the frosted light blade wielded by Chu Fengzhuang. Now that the sword has accepted you as its owner, there will be many that try to take away that sword." Tian Sichan shook his head, "It took a while for me to finally get the sword. The other elders of Fushui sect had wanted to give the sword to the Sect Leader's first disciple. Luckily, I won the wager."
Fei Qianchi's eyes slightly widened as he heard this. Even so, he was not worried. Deep down, he had already understood that there were many internal conflicts between each peak in the Fushui Sect and that all the elders were at odds with each other one way or another.
"Then this disciple will have to thank Master for everything." Once more, Fei Qianchi paid his respects towards Tian Sichan, who furrowed his brows. Truthfully, he could tell that Tian Sichan truly did accept him in whole.
After everything Fei Qianchi had gone through, there was still a voice within him that yearned to destroy the world. Although he was able to suppress it for the time-being, he didn't know about the future. Hence, Fei Qianchi sought for power in order to stop himself from ever losing control. Tian Sichan had supplied him with many treasures too. Elixirs and pills, cultivation books, and even rare deity fruits, Tian Sichan was not stingy.
"No need for such formality. Out of all my disciples, you are a rare one. Unlike them, you do not make me think that I've gone mad." Tian Sichan grinned, losing his serious composure in a second.
Fei Qianchi had observed everyone around him. Hou Mengshu was a gentle man, yet he also had his childish moments where he followed his junior disciples. Fu Huayan was very confident, a woman with harsher words, but she was also very gullible and mischievous. Zhang Bingmei was very childish, she loved fooling around and had a very bright personality. Zhang Zaifan was an oddball who loved to battle beasts, a temperament that was both fiery and boisterous.
Tian Sichan was very... different. The man was strange. He could smile, could turn cold, he could laugh evilly, yet also sigh exasperatedly in the next second.
Fei Qianchi shook his head, his hand still holding onto Baihe. "No, you did save me from the clutches of the other elders." It was the truth, Fei Qianchi had been quite worried about that.
Hearing this, Tian Sichan paused before he began laughing. "It seems like I did do that. Though, if you had not stop me, maybe you wouldn't be my disciple at this moment." Tian Sichan slowly stepped down the stairs that led him to the lower floor where Fei Qianchi stood. "Here, take this." From his hands, a few books appeared from thin air.
Fei Qianchi tilted his head, "What are these, Master?"
"I found some more books that will suit your ice roots. In total, three books that you can cultivate and learn from. The first is the Blossoming Steps, a cultivation using the sword. This book is considered a top-level book. The second is Roaring Tiger, this book involves using your Qi as a bursting attack. The final book is One Hundred Blades, another cultivation technique using the sword. This last one is a very rare technique, splitting your sword into one hundred different swords to attack the opponent." Tian Sichan kept his hand out as the books soon disappeared.
Fei Qianchi had directly put the books into his storage ring. "Is there a reason why you gave me more techniques to go over?"
"I plan on making you attend the sect competition for the new disciples. I know that you will easily prevail over everyone else, considering that you are already so far along in your cultivation. But these books will also help you control your usage of Baihe from now on. Make sure to be diligent in practicing, your sword will need to get used to you too." Tian Sichan carefully explained.
Fei Qianchi listened to his words and nodded firmly. He understood what Tian Sichan was saying. "When will the competition be held then?"
Tian Sichan paused for a moment, thinking. "As far as I know, the competition has always happened on the seventh day of the seventh month. It is currently the twenty-first day of the sixth month, hence, there will be sixteen days for you to practice these new skills."
"No, that will be enough time for me." Fei Qianchi knew his capabilities and he knew that sixteen days would be more than enough time for him to begin practicing these books. Even if he wouldn't be able to perfect the skills, it would be enough to boost his cultivation and his skills.
Tian Sichan nodded at his words, his hands clasped behind his back. Although he looked so young he was already over 200 years old, 'That's all I have for you. Zaifan and Huayan are out on a mission with other disciples of the sect. Mengshu and Bingmei will also be cultivating during this time, just like you will."
Fei Qianchi cupped his fist, "Then I will take my leave first, Master."
"En."
Fei Qianchi was still holding onto his sword as he stepped out of the hall. He needed to get a hang of Baihe first. After all, while he had many other swords that he practiced with, Baihe was the very first sword that he would be regularly using. Not to mention, the sword also had a bigger story behind it.
Once Fei Qianchi returned to his courtyard, he finally unsheathed Baihe. Baihe was a very long and elegant blade, not to wide but the edges were very sharp. The sword was glossy, shining with glare. Fei Qianchi ran a finger along the sword, closing his eyes as he felt the Qi coming from the sword.
Fei Qianchi stepped onto the soft grass, hearing the whistle of the wind and the birds from afar. Putting the scabbard into his storage ring, he held the sword with his right hand, taking in a deep breath. Then, he begun swinging it. It was very light moves, easy moves that anyone would be able to do. After all, he was merely tying to find out how this sword fit into his hands.
His white hair was swinging as he moved, blue eyes shining brightly under the sun. The dragon pendant hung from his waist, his body moving left and right as he swung the sword, his footsteps fast.
Fei Qianchi focused his Qi, forming a coat of energy on Baihe. The sword glistened with blue, the white blade drifting in the air. Fei Qianchi was very calm, his emotions organized and peaceful.
Baihe, there wasn't anything strange when using this sword. Fei Qianchi found that the sword seemed to fit well with him. The sword was light, easy to maneuver, and Fei Qianchi was able to easily move even though he was standing in midair too.
Finally, Fei Qianchi's body descended back onto the ground, his foot gently landing onto the grass. First, he wanted to practice One Hundred Blades. This cultivation book was very suited for Baihe, the origin was also very helpful when using Baihe.
As Fei Qianchi held Baihe in his right hand, his left hand held the book within it. Reading the first page, Fei Qianchi took in the information, feeling a sense of enlightenment within him. Then, having learnt the first step, he put the book back into his ring and held Baihe once more.
Then, Fei Qianchi threw Baihe into the air, his fingers crossing quickly, making a complicated seal with his hands. With the signs that he made, Baihe floated in the air, a blue light shining from it. The sword floated above the ground, perhaps 2 meters in the sky.
The first step within the book was to split the sword into two, making a duplicate of the sword.
Fei Qianchi focused his Qi as a bright light began appearing next to Baihe. Before long, another sword appeared next to Baihe, looking exactly like the other. Fei Qianchi smiled lightly, realizing that he had completed the first duplicate of the sword.
Next, he needed to practice controlling both swords. With his arms in front of him, his fingers crossed, making quick signs, his body tense. Then, using only one hand, his fingers moved, swiping towards the right.
With Fei Qianchi's one move, the two swords laid horizontally, its sharp tip pointing towards the right as it moved. Fei Qianchi looked around, noticing that the tree a few meters ahead of him had falling leaves.
Fei Qianchi's lips curved a bit as his fingers moved, the swords also moving at his control, flying fast in the air, causing a wave of energy to bounce off the swords. Both of the swords moved fast in the air, causing a swishing sound as they flew towards the tree, stabbing into the leaves.
Fei Qianchi found that controlling both swords was not complicated. Though it did drain up his Qi much faster, overall, Fei Qianchi found that he was being enlightened as he continued to practice this move, now controlling the sword with just his Qi.
When he had finally stopped, Fei Qianchi found that the sun had already gone down. Cultivators no longer needed food after entering Foundation Establishment. Although some may eat, it was no longer a necessity.
Fei Qianchi was refreshed. Even though there were slight beads of sweat gathered on his forehead, his blue eyes still shone brightly.
As Fei Qianchi finally let go of his Qi, Baihe returned to his hand, the second sword's mirage broke.
Fei Qianchi turned to the moon that had already rose, feeling light within his heart. He needed to cultivate first. And so, dusting his robes, Baihe returned to his storage ring, and Fei Qianchi walked along the pathway into his room.
Fei Qianchi looked around, lighting a lamp to keep the room lit. He climbed onto his bed, crossing his legs as he sat. Breathing in, his hands moved, forming a circle as he brought them together and he closed his eyes.
Not long after, a mass amount of Qi gathered around him.
Fei Qianchi closed his eyes, deep in meditation...
