Just like that, the years went by. As time went by, the humans became very divided, with some choosing their government and the others choosing to side with the vampires. Many who sided with the vampires voluntarily became a half-blood vampire too.

Ran Shifei and Ti Mianzhong had been working well to make the image of the vampires much better in the eyes of the human as they gave the justice the government and the humans were never able to do. As they killed corrupted officials and criminals that roamed free, they won the support of those who had suffered unimaginable pain while watching the culprit walk free.

True to Bai Zhensu's words, he worked well to to aid the vampires in the dark, even making his own secret faction to support them. As he worked under the vampires, he also made sure to do his job as Achin's president. Now 30, he was a president that Achin revered.

On Chen Shujin's side, he worked to organize the vampires so that there would be no chances of any betrayal. Along with this, he also began having his way with the vampire hunters, playing them like a cat with a mouse.

Five years went by fast, yet the enmity between the humans tore their own nation apart. Achin, who had once stood so high, was suffering through many protests that roamed the streets. Many towns were left destroyed, becoming deserted in that short time period. The population of Achin had took a sharp drop.

Throughout these five years, Wen Zhuhei earnestly worked to get his name known. He quickly rose in the ladders as his power and name became known widely among the vampires. Though young he was, he was praised as one most suitable for becoming the next successor after Chen Shujin.

Chen Shujin snapped his fingers as his gold eyes peered at Bai Zhensu. His face still looked much the same, and that was only normal as he would no longer age.

But Bai Zhensu was different. Though not drastic, his facial features had fully matured. Now that he had been the president of Achin for over seven years now, he had fully gotten use to the crafty words spoken by those who tried to take him down. As he had a purpose through everything, he had kept strong as he secretly destroyed the government he was in.

"Well, you told me to come here. What do you want to tell me?" Chen Shujin questioned as he looked at Bai Zhensu who stared at him unnervingly.

Bai Zhensu looked at Chen Shujin, eyes dark and cloudy as he opened his mouth, "It has been five years. I wish to see my parents now."

Hearing this, Chen Shujin's lips rose up into a curve,"You finally can't wait anymore. I didn't think that you would be willing to wait so long. Since you said so, return with me. Ah, and I warn you, be careful. The vampire don't think much of humans."

Bai Zhensu's eyes were tinged with joy in them. He had patiently waited five years without saying anything, but now, he truly wished to see them

Chen Xueyi looked at the phone in his hand, raising a brow.

'I will be returning. Don't tell anyone.'

But, he didn't say anything as he stuffed his phone back into his pocket and walked away to begin completing the tasks that Chen Shujin had given him. He needed to find a Bai Ximeng and a Yi Rouyue then bring them to the palace.

The palace was essentially where most parties and banquets were held. Chen Shujin and Chen Xueyi didn't care for it but Ran Shifei and Ti Mianzhong held many parties and banquets there. It was a place where all vampires were invited to roam as they pleased and was also the most heavily guarded place as it held many vampiric artifacts.

And since the human was really coming to the vampire's territory, Chen Xueyi also needed to make sure of some precautions beforehand.

Chen Xueyi already knew where Bai Ximeng was and since the two were married then they had to be a married couple. So, he didn't take much time to find where their house was. Standing before the rather delicately designed house, Chen Xueyi knocked upon the door.

Opening the door, a man and woman looked at him before Bai Ximeng greeted, "Lord Xueyi, welcome." He was a handsome man, with tanner skin and piercing eyes.

Yi Rouyue looked at Chen Xueyi and asked, "Second Lord, for what reason have you come to our humble home?" Her delicate face still looked youthful, frozen at the age of 28.

"His Majesty has asked for your arrival at the palace." Chen Xueyi answered in turn as he watched the two glanced at one another before Bai Ximeng spoke up. "You may come dressed as you are, His Majesty wanted you two to arrive as soon as possible."

If he was correct, around now, Chen Shujin and Bai Zhensu should nearly have reached the palace. Knowing Chen Shujin, he wouldn't want to wait for too long so Chen Xueyi tried to speed up the process.

"Lord Xueyi, is there anything we should know of first?" Yi Rouyue's voice was lower as her eyes zoomed in on Chen Xueyi who stood almighty before them. Her hand reached for Bai Ximeng's and grasped it tightly.

Chen Xueyi didn't mind the questions but he also couldn't answer it as there were too many ears and eyes around here so he could only explain, "All I can tell you is that this is not something grave. Now, it will be best to make our way to the palace, I already have the car prepared."

Chen Xueyi wasn't trying to make himself appear all powerful right now since that clearly didn't matter at this moment. But, of course anybody would be wary when one of the most powerful and famed vampires appeared before them just like that.

Yi Rouyue looked at Bai Ximeng who returned her stare as she nodded her head. Bai Ximeng's lips were in a thin line as he then replied, "Then, please lead the way, Lord Xueyi."

"Just sit there for now, I reckon that they should be here anytime now." Chen Shujin carelessly threw out as he watched Bai Zhensu take a seat on the chair within the heart of the palace.

"Your Majesty, is there an age limit for you vampires?" Bai Zhensu asked, though his question was worded a bit weird.

Chen Shujin furrowed his brows at that question. "When do we enter eternal slumber? It is different for every vampire. Pure-blood vampires normally live much longer than half-blood vampires. But, once your body begins to weaken out of control, you can only enter eternal slumber, for even slumbers will no longer be able to aid your body."

Hearing this, Bai Zhensu took a breath, "Then how long will my parents live?"

Although he knew that his parents had a much longer time to live now, especially as they were now vampires, he still couldn't help but worry.

"They will live much longer than you, needless to say. They both became vampires when they were around your age. Once you are next to your father, it will be hard to tell that you aren't brothers." Chen Shujin answered in turn without any trickery involved.

Bai Zhensu showed a rare smile at this.

Just then, the doors opened up as footsteps were heard. Bai Zhensu's head turned towards the door roughly as his eyes began turning red.

Yi Rouyue stepped into the door hesitantly with Bai Ximeng as Chen Xueyi stood outside. As her eyes roam around, she saw a face that looked similar to her husband's staring right back at her. Her eyes widened as her grasp on Bai Ximeng's hand tightened. Bai Ximeng looked at Bai Zhensu silently.

As Bai Zhensu stared at his parents who stood before him, he could tell that they still looked very young. He couldn't help it as he smiled, his mouth opening to say, "Hello, mom and dad."

Yi Rouyue let out a sound of shock and surprise but her eyes turned red as she let go of Bai Ximeng's hand and ran towards Bai Zhensu.

Bai Zhensu opened his arms as Yi Rouyue ran towards him and embraced him tightly.

"Su'er!" Yi Rouyue cried out as she held her baby.

Bai Zhensu held his mother in his arm with a smile that was very different compared to his stoic face. He held the petite woman in his arm as tears welled in his eyes though they didn't fall.

Bai Ximeng walked towards them with small steps, a smile on his face as he watched his family. He didn't say anything nor did he do anything but there was pride within himself and a relieved breath escaped him.

"Su'er, I-I'm so sorry. i couldn't return to you, and you had to live all those years without your father and I. You were so small when we both disappeared just like that, and now, you have already grown to become just like your father." Yi Rouyue pulled away as her hand caressed Bai Zhensu's face with tears streaming down her face.

Bai Zhensu shook his head before he leaned into Yi Rouyue's hand. "No, I have been well. I... I'm so glad that I can see you two once more." His eyes turned to look at Bai Ximeng who returned his glance. "Father and you look as youthful as ever. It seems that I have been the only one aging."

Bai Ximeng walked towards Yi Rouyue, standing by her as he looked at Chen Shujin. "Your Majesty."

It was then that Yi Rouyue glanced at the powerful vampire who had always been there. "Your Majesty."

Chen Shujin watched them with glowing eyes. It was a touching reunion but he wasn't going to cry, it wasn't that sad yet. With a nod of his head, he pointed towards the table. "Take a seat, there are some matters that we will have to speak about."

Yi Rouyue looked at her husband as they began walking towards the chairs, her hand pulling Bai Zhensu with them too.

"Yi Rouyue and Bai Ximeng, this is President Bai," Saying this, Chen Shujin pointed at Bai Zhensu.

"President?" Bai Ximeng echoed in turn.

"Your son has become the President of Achin for over seven years now. He has also been aiding the vampires throughout this time. Since there was an exchange in the process, I was able to bring him here in secret. It won't be long before he has to return so please spend your time well within the palace." Chen Shujin concluded as he saw Bai Zhensu's relieved face.

Yi Rouyue was the first to react. "Thank you, Your Majesty. Although our son has become the president of the humans, it is also thanks to you that we were able to meet him."

Chen Shujin didn't say anything to that, merely announcing, "I will leave first, this palace will be open for you."

After saying this, Chen SHujin walked away. He knew that Bai Zhensu wanted to spend some alone time with his parents and they probably wished the same too.

While they were doing that, Chen Shujin needed to speak with Chen Xueyi about Wen Zhuhei.

Walking out, Chen Shujin glanced at Chen Xueyi. "We'll be going to the mansion first, I already ordered Yinlong and Huaxi to take Bai Zhensu back to his house after he is done."

"You trust that he won't do anything?" Chen Xueyi questioned as he began walking by Chen Shujin.

Chen Shujin lifted his lips up at this. "If he wanted to, he would've done so long ago. He knows well that if he does anything to slight me, he will be risking his parents. After all these years as president, he should be able to see the pros and cons."

Switching the topics, Chen Shujin then asked, "How is Zhuhei doing?"

Chen Xueyi paused before he said, "The same as always. The boy has already grown and word of his deeds have already spread among all vampires. He has grown from the boy he once was but he is still the same."

Chen Shujin showed a smile at this. "That is a good thing. When I first brought him back, I would've thought that he would run away at any time." His gold eyes shone with a light as he walked inside the car.

He leaned down against the seat and closed his eyes, a sign that he was not going to talk anymore.

Chen Xueyi also got into the car and glanced at Chen Shujin. Well, the boy had really grown in these years, almost resembling a wolf under a sheep's skin.

"Your Majesty, we've arrived."

As Chen Shujin got out of the car, there was already someone standing there. A man stood looking at the mansion, his back towards them.

Chen Shujin stared long and hard as Chen Xueyi also got out of the car.

Having heard the sound of the car, the man soon turned around.

Chen Shujin's eyes narrowed as the man smiled brightly.

"Shujin, I'm finally back."
