Chen Shujin looked at his surrounding. If his estimation was correct, he had just literally climbed out of a coffin and was now inside a very large room. The moon was shining brightly through the window as Chen Shujin stood up and began walking to the door.

Chen Shujin pushed the door open as his feet automatically began walking. Just in time, he stopped as he passed a mirror, to which his reflection stared back at him. Hmm, quite stunning if he could say.

Turning away, Chen Shujin began moving as his feet automatically led him towards the front entrance. From what he knew, this mansion was connected to Chen Shujin's own mansion in the heart of the society of the vampires.

And since this body automatically knew where it was, Chen Shujin didn't have to do anything as it was his body's instinct. In fact, Chen Shujin basically zoned out as he let his body move with the instinct of the past soul.

It didn't take long before Chen Shujin arrived at a different place. There was a loud noise that echoed as he stepped foot into the mansion that held upon a large room for meetings and a large seat, almost like a throne for the leader. Chen Shujin looked around in curiosity. As soon as he had stepped in, a loud noise had echoed throughout the whole mansion. It didn't take long before he heard the footsteps of a few vampires rushing towards the room. Chen Shujin ran his tongue across his fangs as he glared at the doors.

"Who are you?!"

Bursting in was a familiar face, a few to be exact. Standing before him, Chen Xueyi, Ran Shifei, and Ti Mianzhong stared at him.

There was a moment of silence as everyone looked at one another before Chen Shujin tilted his head. "Am I not allowed here anymore?"

Chen Xueyi looked at his brother in shock. He was surprised, utterly surprised because he had thought that his brother would never awaken after the injures he had faced.

"Brother, you've awaken." Chen Xueyi finally said as he bowed towards Chen Shujin. "Welcome back, Your Majesty, the Highest Lord of all vampires."

By his side, Ran Shifei and Ti Mianzhong also reacted, "Welcome back, Your Majesty, the Highest Lord of all vampires." They bowed as they awaited for Chen Shujin's command.

Chen Shujin was a bit surprised by this title but he didn't show it on his face, merely displaying a look of boredom.

Chen Shujin's eyes scanned over them before he finally uttered, "No need for such formalities. Shifei and Mianzhong, I would like a word with my brother."

"Understood, Your Majesty." Ran Shifei and Ti Mianzhong looked at one another before they stood up and walked out, their footsteps having gotten even more silent, to the point where you couldn't even hear it.

Chen Shujin discovered something interesting. All his senses were heightened by quite a bit, his eyes were more sensitive in the dark and even his hearing was better, especially his smell.

"Xueyi, how long have I been in slumber?" Chen Shujin asked Chen Xueyi, his eyes turning to stare straight at him as Chen Shujin took a seat upon his throne. Chen Shujin had observed the original's soul's actions and this was the closest he could get. It seemed like the original was quite a character, so much that he couldn't explain it.

Chen Xueyi showed a nod at that, it cleared up the expression on his face a bit as he replied, "Bother, you've been in slumber for five hundred years now." He walked closer to take a seat next to Chen Shujin's right.

"Five hundred years, I assume things have changed greatly among the human's empire then?" Chen Shujin asked as his eyes darkened, looking down at his fingers. There was a hint of a condescending tone in his voice, though it was hardly masked.

"Brother, five hundred years have gone by, this planet seems to have gone downward. As the human race's population begins to increase, the planet slowly dies. Thousands of years ago, the planet was an incredible place to live, with fresh air alongside many plants and animals. Recently, the air has begun getting polluted, animals and plants have continued to become extinct. To make matters worse, the humans have become arrogant, thinking that they can rival us beings because they have the vampire hunters by their side." Chen Xueyi couldn't hide a face of disgust as he said this.

Chen Shujin closed his eyes as he listened to this. Suddenly, his nose perked up on the smell of blood, it was faint but it was still there. It was the smell of human blood... Don't ask how he knew, he just did.

"You have someone here, a human." Chen Shujin asked, his voice getting lower as his brows furrowed ever so lightly.

Chen Xueyi didn't try to deny it even as he could see how Chen Shujin's face seemingly darkened, "I do. He was recently bought from an auction that seeks vampires and humans. The vampires are mostly vampires turned by half-bloods, while the humans are those sold away by their family."

Half-bloods were either vampires born from a human and vampire or they were vampires that were turned by a pure-blood vampire, the first vampires who have been vampires ever since the beginning of their lives.

Chen Shujin's finger tapped on the armrest attached to his throne as his mind brought forth an important piece of memory.

Chen Shujin had returned eleven years before Wen Zhuhei and Su Heliang met. At this point of time, Wen Zhuhei had been sold into an auction where he became the servant of a pure-blood vampire under Ti Mianzhong's clan.

Having thought it out, Chen Shujin looked at Chen Xueyi as he commanded, "Bring me to the auction."

Chen Xueyi looked at Chen Shujin with surprise but merely replied, "As you wish..."

Chen Shujin was pulling a very cliche move. You know how in some stories you read, the main character will raise the Male Lead or have him as a close companion? Well guess what, that's what he is going to do.

Chen Shujin was going to 'save' Wen Zhuhei and mess up the whole plot as soon as he could. Because, no one said anything about this so he might as well do it earlier since it was going to get ruined anyway.

But, you know, he was quite liking his role in this world. After all, being a vampire was quite cool and you really didn't have much limitations. Contrary to belief, vampires were not afraid of garlic nor did the sun matter to them, at least not to pure-bloods. With half-bloods, the sun may burn a bit but it wouldn't kill them. And although you had to drink blood every now and then, pure-blood vampires could also consume food.

Half-blood vampires were more limited as they couldn't consume food unless they had lived for a long time and built an immunity towards it as food was basically like a poison to them. Hence, human food was something most half-bloods did not partake in.

To put in simpler words, being a half-blood vampire pretty much sucked compared to being a pure-blood vampire.

But the thought of meeting his love made Chen Shujin's eyes flicker in a bright light. In this world, he wasn't going to play so easy like the last one...

Chen Shujin smoothed his suit as he looked around. Chen Xueyi had gotten the best seats available and as they walked in, a vampire immediately arrived came out to meet them. From how he was dressed and his anxious demeanor, Chen Shujin guessed that he was most likely the boss of this auction house.

"Your Majesty, welcome to my humble auction house, Salivor. Please, anyone you want, there is no need to pay for them. You may take all that you find an interest in." The vampire said, bowing down as he smiled anxiously in front of Chen Shujin. "Lord Xueyi, welcome back. I have prepared the highest seat for you and His Majesty." He began leading them in.

Chen Shujin looked around the extravagant place, decorated with high goods and jewelry. With Chen Xueyi next to his side, even if many of the vampires in the auction house didn't know who he was, they were able to get the gist of how high his identity was. But even if they thought so, they couldn't come forward, merely standing and watching, hiding from Chen Shujin's cold eyes.

Chen Shujin and Chen Xueyi were led into a room on the second floor of the auction house, gettting a perfect view of the stage.

The vampire that led them there said, "If you need anything, we will have someone waiting outside of your door. Just tell the vampire out there and he will follow what you say. The auction will begin in a matter of minutes, I will take my leave now."

Chen Shujin didn't say anything as the vampire walked out but Chen Xueyi said a goodbye.

"So, how many times have you frequented this place?" Chen Shujin, who sat on a chair looking towards the stage, asked Chen Xueyi as his fingers gently tapped the armrest on his rather luxurious chair. His eyes were glossed over and there was the hint of a small smirk on his face.

Chen Xueyi sat on a chair next to Chen Shujin as he replied, "Not often, I come every now and then. I come here mostly when I need a new human. The blood of humans don't replenish as fast as I wish it would."

It was then that Chen Shujin remembered that vampires also fed directly on human. Just one bite on that human and blood comes, this was a vampire's food. Even pure-bloods couldn't escape this. Though they could eat food, they still needed to drink blood too.

"And the situation on the vampire hunters and us?" Chen Shujin asked as a hint of dark light came into his glowing, golden eyes.

"After your slumber, the vampires have been peaceful. Unless the vampire hunters and human caused trouble, the vampires continued our normal life. Us, vampires, have our own city on what was once our land. The vampire hunters have become more common, but their strength remains the same. There have many associations for vampire hunters where they are trained. It is no worry as the vampire hunters can never be as strong as the vampires." Chen Xueyi explained the situation to Chen Shujin.

There were more to vampires. They healed quickly from wounds, their strength was also much greater than a vampire hunter who was basically a human. It was hard to tell who was a vampire unless the vampire showed their fangs.

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the great auction of Salivor. Once more, today we host the annual auction. We have had a batch of new goods arrive, each and everyone of them the most spectacular of all. To those new here, if you see anyone you wish for, simply raise your biding sign and call out a price. Each of our goods start at a particular bid." The vampire was a woman, hosting the show as she stepped onto the stage.

Chen Shujin zoned out the moment they began calling out names. He was merely watching even though his mind had flown far to a different place.

After all, his purpose here was to get Wen Zhuhei and basically mess up the whole plot before anything could begin. So, while Chen Xueyi was actually paying attention to what was being said.

Just then, his eyes zoomed in as a new boy was brought on stage, his ankles and wrist chained. His hair was dark black, eyes of a gray color. His skin was pale, but one could obviously tell that the boy was handsome beyond compared. His lips were dark pink, eyes glimmering ever so gently. He didn't seem disturbed and stressed at where he was.

Chen Shujin perked up as he looked at the younger Wen Zhuhei. He smiled to himself. You know, he wanted to see how much someone would bid for Wen Zhuhei before he stepped in. Thinking this, he leaned into his chair as he got ready to watched the show.

He wanted to have a little more fun in this world...
