AN: Question of the day! What is your favorite quotes/lines from this book?
Also, I'm going to a place with no internet so I won't be able to update on Monday. After this week ends, I'm going to work real hard on getting back to regular updates.

Hearing what his older brother had asked, Tendou Yagami's eyes turned colder at a fast rate. Sneering, he replied, "Why should I? She isn't my mother."
Tendou Akiyama merely nodded his head at that as he turned off the pan. "Alright then, I will tell Reo to send a gift back. Since you aren't going, I have no reasons to either. Hurry and take the drink to Zeno, I'm almost done here. I'll be busy for the rest of today and a couple days ahead. I don't know if I'll be able to come back soon so tell him to come and accompany you."
Ito Reo was Tendou Akiyama and Tendou Yagami's close friend. He was the same age as Tendou Akiyama, and was by Tendou Akiyama's side when he built his company. Now, Ito Reo was his secretary.
"Alright. Do you think you'll be able to set aside some time to go to the festival with us?" Tendou Yagami asked. While he knew that his brother was busy, his brother was too busy, barely setting off time for himself.
Hearing that, Tendou Akiyama smiled, "I'll see if I can tell Reo to do my work for me for today then. Now, hurry and go. You shouldn't leave him out there for too long by himself." Saying this, he used one hand to push Tendou Yagami away.
Tendou Yagami merely grabbed the cup of water and walked out after hearing his brother's words.
Meanwhile, Narisa Zeno sat down feeling as if he was sitting down on needles. When Tendou Yagami finally came back, Narisa Zeno couldn't help the smile of relief that showed.
"Sorry, it took a while longer. I had some things to discuss with my brother." Tendou Yagami said as he handed the cup to Narisa Zeno and sat down next to him.
"No, that's alright." Narisa Zeno took a sip of water before he asked, "How old is your brother?"
"He's 22 years old. He owns a company so he's usually busy and doesn't come back home often." Tendou Yagami replied, his eyes set on Narisa Zeno. "Now that I think about it, you've never told me about yourself."
Narisa Zeno widened his eyes at that. Well, not wrong.
"Do you want to know?" Narisa Zeno asked, a smile on his face.
(Male lead's love percentage is at 53%.)
Tendou Yagami nodded his head, replying back, "Of course, why wouldn't I?"
"I guess. I'm an only child so there isn't much about that. My mother actually ran away with her lover after giving birth to me. My father didn't care much about her presence so he never cared enough to seek her out. He took good care of me, teaching me a lot about his business. The principal of Takimura is also my uncle." Narisa Zeno said, setting the cup back onto the small table in front of him. "What about you?"
Tendou Yagami debated on what to say first. Finally, with a soft sigh, he began speaking. "My mother passed away when I was 10 years old. She was someone I loved with my whole heart. After my mother passed away, it didn't take long for my father to bring in another woman and introduce her as my new mother. Along with her came a new step-brother. I think that moment destroyed my relationship with my father, especially as I saw how he became more and more muddled with that woman and his new son."

Tendou Yagami couldn't help back a scoff as he continued, "My brother was the only one I really felt close to after all of that happened. When my brother decided to start a company, he moved out and took me with him. My ties with my father was never good after that and I barely attend any of their family events. My father is associated with the Yakuza too. Because of that, my step-mother has been trying to push her son into that position so she's been keeping her guard against me."
Narisa Zeno listened carefully in silence. Now, he understood why Tendou Yagami's love meter was climbing up so slowly.
From the kitchen, Tendou Akiyama was able to hear Tendou Yagami's voice. With a colder expression on his face, he made sure that the two were still conversing as he took out his phone and dialed down a number.
"What?" A question was asked from the other side of the line.
"Reo, I need you to do something for me." Tendou Akiyama's voice was low, making sure that no one would be able to hear him. He pushed his glasses up with a finger as he waited for an answer.
"Does it have to do with your father?" Ito Reo asked.
"Who else but him? Drop off a gift at their house. Today is that women's birthday. Send her the gift we've been talking about." Tendou Akiyama smirked as he said, a light glinting across his eyes.
From the phone came a boisterous laugh. "Understood, I was waiting to see when you would say that. I wonder what your father's reaction will be when he finds out." Ito Reo's voice rung out with delight.
"Also, cancel the meeting for this evening, I'll be busy. I'll take care of the papers tomorrow. Make sure you hide your tracks." Tendou Akiyama concluded the call.
"Got it, I'll make sure that no one finds out." Ito Reo responded as Tendou Akiyama ended the call.
Putting the phone away, Tendou Akiyama took off the apron on his suit and closed his eyes. Wiping away the emotions that were there, he put on a gentle smile as he walked out of the kitchen.
"You two, come eat. It's already getting late." Tendou Akiyama called out as he peeked his head out from the kitchen with plates in his hand.
Narisa Zeno turned to Tendou Akiyama, forgetting his conversation with Tendou Yagami.
Tendou Yagami furrowed his brows but he didn't say anything. He merely stood up and beckoned to Narisa Zeno, "Let's go."
Narisa Zeno got up rather uneasily. Since Fei Shang still wasn't back yet, he had no way of finding out what Tendou Akiyama's actions were leading to. It wasn't that he was worried, he just liked knowing what his future brother-in-law was saying since Narisa Zeno clearly heard his voice from the kitchen even though it was so low.
But, when he looked at Tendou Akiyama who had a smile on, Narisa Zeno didn't know what to think. This man was dangerous, it was hard to tell because his smile was so gentle and kind but there was the wrong sense of air coming from him. If Tendou Yagami was the pouncing lion, then Tendou Akiyama was the tiger lying in wait for its prey. Narisa Zeno was use to figuring out people, especially from the past worlds and his life as a businessman.
As Tendou Akiyama watched the two stick closely together, he quietly raised a brow and took his own seat. He knew his brother better than anyone, his brother hated people in general. It was hard for him to open up so Tendou Akiyama was rather surprised when his brother introduced Narisa Zeno as his future lover. It wasn't that he disliked a homosexual relationship, he was just surprised since Tendou Yagami took a long time to get use to people.

Tendou Akiyama watched the two fuss over one another, and he was surprised knowing that they weren't in a relationship yet. They seemed rather close to one another, almost like an old couple from the way they kept trying to accommodate one another. But, Tendou Akiyama was happy that his little brother now had someone by his side too, it wasn't like Tendou Akiyama would be here forever.
"I was able to get Reo to help me with the other paperwork I have left. If we are to go to the festival, it would be best for us to wait until it gets a bit darker out. Since tomorrow will be Saturday, you two won't have school. Yagami, if you want Zeno to stay the night, he can. After going to the festival, I will have to go back to the company." Tendou Akiyama merely said as he began eating.
Off to the side, Narisa Zeno almost choked as he heard Tendou Akiyama's words. Tendou Akiyama seemed too undisturbed about everything, it was a good thing but that made Narisa Zeno even more wary.
"Alright, brother." Tendou Yagami replied as he handed a cup of warm water to Narisa Zeno.
Narisa Zeno accepted the cup of water as he quickly took a drink from it. "Thank you." He mumbled after he was finally sure that he wasn't going to accidentally choke on water and end his own life like he had before.
Tendou Yagami patiently waited for Narisa Zeno to finally stop coughing. Without him knowing, his hand was already gently patting Narisa Zeno's back, as if his body already knew what to do in situations like this.
Just then, the sound of a phone ringing disturbed the calm peace.
Tendou Akiyama frowned as he grabbed his phone that was ringing. Glancing at the screen, he looked at Tendou Yagami before he finally answered the call. Raising the phone to his ear, he said, "Father."
Tendou Yagami's eyes froze with hatred inside of them as soon as he heard who it was.
Narisa Zeno looked at Tendou Yagami and asked, "Are you alright?"
Tendou Yagami suddenly smiled back as he quickly replied, "Of course, I may hate him but it doesn't affect much of my life."
"That's good then-"
"What?" Tendou Akiyama's cold voice froze the two as they turned to see the situation at hand. He was now standing, a look of coldness on his face, his eyes twitching. "You want to give the inheritance to an outsider?!" A voice of fury ring out.
Narisa Zeno's eyes widened, while Tendou Yagami suddenly smirked, as if he had already expected this.
No one was able to see Tendou Akiyama's hand that was clenched tightly under the table, nor did they know what he would do next.
In a quiet little house, a young boy laid on the bed. His body was wrapped with bandages, eyes gently shut.
Just then, the door opened as a man walked in, vermillion eyes shining brightly. With a smirk on his face, he looked at the boy who laid on his bed with raised brows. "A child, huh."
Walking over to the boy, he set aside his sword covered in blood and took off his black robes drenched in red even though it didn't look like so. He put a hand on the boys head, closing his eyes. Suddenly, opening them in surprise, his face held a wide smirk.
"I see...so he saved you. And he just had to leave you in my house." The man said.
Noticing the pendant in the small boys hand, he pick it up to look at it. A dragon with lightening behind it. As he held the pendant in his hand, a thought came to his head.
"Sorry for involving you in my own matters, but because the one who saved you is the also the reason why I was betrayed, I will have to involve you in it. Considering that he left you with this, it means that he must've expected something from you." Saying this, he put a hand over the pendant, and upon the delicate details on the pendant, a faint surname appeared. 'Bai.'
The man put the pendant back after that, as if nothing had happened in the first place. Leaving the boy in the same place, he put his robes back on and picked up his sword.
"Once more, I apologize for your future. You are an outsider in this matter, but as you are now involved with him and will be in the future, I will have to use you too." Saying this, the man disappeared as if he was never there in the first place.
And so, when the young boy had awoken, he was alone. But in his hands was a pendant that he used to find his savior.
As the pendant had been tampered with, the result ended with finding the wrong person.
He found the wrong person. He loved the wrong person. He became infatuated with the wrong person.
No, it wasn't that he loved the wrong person. It was that he thought he loved that person when he didn't. It was because he tried denying his own feelings when he later grew up.
Thus, it began. The twisted tale that entangled with all of them.
A twisted and evil story that played out, as if trying to capture the souls of everyone.
There is no villain, for there is no line between right or wrong.
Because the truth is, each of them were evil in their own way.

3) This is a lot but here I go. I don't like eating tomatoes, I love reading, I have five siblings (four older and one younger), I am currently learning how to play the bamboo flute (dizi)(Wei Wuxian's instrument), I am Asian, I live in Minnesota, USA, I got into reading Chinese bl novels when I was 12 years old (I just literally accidentally click the wrong thing and got sucked in), I am more quiet in person until you get to know me then I'm crazy, I hate arguments (no matter who it is, I usually will block out any words and choose to hide in my room), and finally, this is my second year of my official beginning of writing.

5) Title? A little bit about me? Something like that!
6) This is going to be so bad...what did the cell say when his sister stepped on his toe?
'Mitosis'
It's not that funny but I use this a lot with my younger sister.
7) And this one... shoot, I don't know what to say because I feel like everything I say is going to give away something. Here's a very vague one, Xue Lu is not who he seems. If you look back at chapter 5.11.5, you will notice some iffy things about his 'identity'. And, there's actually more to his past than what we know now and why he is by Baicheng's side. Xue Lu is also the reason why Baicheng was able to survive after Zhu Luishui had stabbed a dagger into his heart and pushed him off the cliff.
8) Already put up above.

My Good Friend Murphy
***Disclaimer*** I wrote and am writing this purely for my own amusement. That means that this could have major revisions done to it sporadically, it has more grammar errors than even the most mentally stable grammar nazi could withstand, and will not update at all regularly. This is an ad-hoc fun experimental work with forced motives, plotholes, and static characters. Don't expect too much. That said, this mutated mistake of a short novella follows a ditzy MC who has been transported to a new world with the dubiously useful skills origin and enigma and the obnoxiously imbalanced skill, traveler. If you'd like more incentive to give it a shot, you will never get spoilers about the plot because there isn't one (Actual synopsis coming soon, relative to eternity)
