《Steal The Male Lead》5.6

The rest of the day was like any other day at school. Narisa Zeno finished up his school activities, and went back to his apartment. True to his words, Tendou Yagami wasn't seen at all during the school day because he skipped his classes.
As Narisa Zeno took off his shoes at the front door, he walked inside the apartment. Following his memories, he walked into the bedroom that was now his. There wasn't anything extravagant inside the apartment, the design itself was simple and the original soul hadn't bothered to decorate it much.
The first thing that Narisa Zeno did upon entering the room was to throw his body onto the bed, enjoying the comfort as he relaxed onto it. After what Narisa Fuchikawa had told him and what Yoku Shida had explained, Narisa Zeno knew that something involving both of these two things were going to happen either to him or Tendou Yagami. And then, after closing his eyes for a few second, he opened them again to look at the desk at the corner that had a laptop on it.
After debating for a while inside his head, Narisa Zeno got up and walked towards it. First, he was going to gather up some information about any cases of thieveries or robberies that had happened. Although Narisa Zeno could get Fei Shang to help him, after discovering part of his past life and knowing how close he was to him, he didn't feel like it was right to keep asking of things from him.
As Narisa Zeno began typing up things and searching the websites that his eyes came upon on, he also wrote some things on a blank piece of paper. The people who committed such crimes were never found, but the police was able to determine that it was more than one person and that all the cases were connected to one another. Each of the houses that had been robbed belonged to either students of Shinaku or Takimura.
Narisa Zeno really thought that all these people probably belonged in a gang too, and that the leader of this gang was the person who was going to be coming after him as Yoku Shida had said.
Narisa Zeno's fingers twitched all of a sudden as he felt a pain. His face suddenly distorted as he remembered one important thing he had forgotten. The original soul had died from lung cancer, and even though Narisa Zeno had taken over the body, it was still the same body.
(Fei Shang, I have lung cancer, right?)
It took a moment before Fei Shang was able to reply, and Narisa Zeno swore he couldn't hear a slight change from Fei Shang's normal tone.
[Yes, Host. But there is no need to fret, I will be able to modify your body and get rid of the cancer. It will take around a ten hours before it disappears so there's no need to worry.]

Hearing this, Narisa Zeno couldn't helped but sigh in relief.
(That's good. Oh, and Fei Shang, you are still in the original world, right?)
Once again, there was a pause as Fei Shang pondered about whether he could answer the question or not. Finally, he decided that it should be alright.
(Yes, I am still in the original world.]
(That means that everything you told me about yourself was a lie.)
[That...is correct, Host. My meeting with you was staged, but I waited for your death before I could get in contact with you. My role with you is also something that took years to plan and everything I told you from the beginning was mixed with truths and lies.]
Narisa Zeno merely nodded unconsciously.
(Wait, are you able to see me?)
[I can, Host. But only when I wish to, otherwise, I keep that feature closed.]
(I see...Is Baicheng and Xue Lu still alive?)
[Yes, Host. In fact, they have even more power now.]
Narisa Zeno still continued asking questions, trying to get more information when Fei Shang was able to tell him. His original world was still located in China, it was a world of cultivation with such things as immortality or ascending the heaven as Fei Shang had told him. There was still a lot that he didn't know and his memories weren't coming back either, not in dreams of as fragments. In the last world, he had some help from his lover on the memories, it was also what led to Narisa Zeno getting more memories in return.
He knew that Baicheng and Xue Lu were working together and that Baicheng was the person his past life had fell in love with. He didn't know much about Xue Lu other than that fact that he was close to Baicheng and was also the one who worked on getting Narisa Zeno to fall in love with him when he impersonated Baicheng.
Just as Narisa Zeno lingered within his thoughts, Fei Shang's voice awoken him.
[Host, I will need you to lay down on the bed so that I can begin getting rid of the cancer. It would be easier for me to do it when you're laying down since I will also need to put you to sleep or a while.]
(Alright, then,)
Narisa Zeno got out down the one in his hand and shut down the laptop, climbing back into his bed. As he laid there, he closed his eyes.
[3, 2, 1. I will begin now.]
And Narisa Zeno was fully asleep with that.
~dream~
A young man dressed in white sat alone in his bedroom, his courtyard filled with falling flowers. He kneeled on the ground next to his bed, his face on his bed with his arms covering his face. The sound of sniffles could be heard, quiet sobs that got stuck in his throat, unwilling to come out but it still slipped through.

There was a knock at the door, a deep but gentle voice asked, "Qianchi, can I come in?"
Fei Qianchi merely covered his face more, trying even harder to stifle his cry even as the knocking continued.
There was a sound of silence as the person outside asked once more, "Please, Qianchi, let me come in. Can I speak to you?"
Once more, Fei Qianchi didn't say anything as he ignored the voice. Finally, after the question was repeated once more, he looked up, his elegant face was stained with redness at his eyes, a teardrop still lingered unwilling to drop as he wiped his face roughly with his sleeve.
"Come in," His voice was hoarse and coarse, his eyes filled with pain and yet they looked blank and lost.
The doors opened revealing a man dressed in a light blue robe embroiled with black. His eyes were a shade of purple, his features strong yet also slightly cold. What was most evident was the worry laced within his brows and the pain within his eyes that couldn't be hidden even as he tried.
Fei Qianchi watched him enter, an expression of coldness now on his face.
The man was able to notice the abnormality from Fei Qianchi and he stepped towards him. Just as he was about to help Fei Qianchi up, his hand was slapped away. He looked up, eyes in confusion and pain but he didn't say anything nor did he do anything. He merely stood there, watching Fei Qianchi glare at him without doing a single thing.
Finally, he opened up his mouth, albeit in a tone full of helplessness yet consolation. "Let him go, Fei Qianchi, you deserve someone else."
With those words, Fei Qianchi's eyes got even more deadly. He smiled, a smile filled with pain as he stood up, face to face with the other man. "Longwang, he's getting married, he's breaking the promise he made to me."
Zhu Longwang couldn't say anything as he looked at Fei Qianchi's devastating smile. "Qianchi, you can find someone else, someone who loves you even more. You deserve the world and he can no longer give you that."
Hearing that, Fei Qianchi froze for a second, tears threatening to fall from his face as he suppressed it. Then, his smile got bigger before he began laughing, it was a laugh of disbelief, a laugh of ridicule towards himself. He stared at Zhu Longwang, each word digging deep into the other's heart. "Get away from me! Don't speak to me! He lied to me, he told me that he loved only me, and yet, he is getting married. Married to someone who isn't me! Longwang, you don't understand the pain within my heart."
Zhu Longwang grimaced, not knowing what he should say. He watched as Fei Qianchi broke down in front of him. He took a step forward but Fei Qianchi took a step backwards.
"Get away from me, leave me. I don't need you here," Fei Qianchi spat out, eyes like daggers launching towards Zhu Longwang.
Zhu Longwang's face stiffened, a wave of pain flying across his face as he watched Fei Qianchi's reaction to him. "Qianchi, please, you're hurting right now. At least let me accompany you to know that you will be alright." He didn't make a move anymore, he merely stood there even as he desperately spoke, hoping that Fei Qianchi would listen to his words.
But those words only irritated Fei Qianchi. Fei Qianchi smirked as he heard those words, "And what can you do? Are you going to ridicule me just like everyone else? Are you going to laugh in my face telling me that you have already warned me about him?" Fei Qianchi paused as he scoffed. "What good can you do, Zhu Longwang? You have never known me, you will never know how much my heart aches. I bet that heart of yours is as cold as ice."
Zhu Longwang's eyes widened from Fei Qianchi's words, hurt within them and he clenched his fist tightly, biting his lips to the point where it almost bled. He closed his eyes, as if he was calming himself before he opened them once more.
Fei Qianchi cocked his head at Zhu Longwang. "Get out. I don't want to see your face around me right now, I don't want to see anyone, not even my brother. Tell Fei Shang to keep away from me."
Zhu Longwang opened his mouth, about to say something else but he closed it in the end. He looked once more as Fei Qianchi turned away from him, conflicting emotions within his eyes before he finally nodded his head. As he stepped out the doors, he looked once more towards Fei Qianchi's lonely figure. "Just know that I will always be here. I will always be here for you no matter what." With that, he gently closed the doors.
Fei Qianchi looked at the doors, coldness deep in his eyes. Then, he looked down at an image reflecting in his mirrors. A young man with crimson eyes was dressed in red, a young girl with beautiful features also dressed in red by his side. They looked at one another with a smile.
Fei Qianchi clenched the table so hard, his fingers were indented into it as he scowled.
And then, his eyes flickered, changing from red before fading to a dark and eerie black. And he smirked, a chilling sight to the bone. A small wisp of black energy came from him, unfortunately, he was unable to notice anything by then.

Please note: the Sexual Content tag is there due to a single brief plot-relevant scene, which has a warning at the beginning. For other details, read the full description below. Rating breakdown, since that should be public info: 5 x 5*, 2 x 4.5*, 1 x 0.5* During a blackout, a frail and ragged old woman stops to ask for a glass of water from a backyard barbecue party. Given a good supper instead, she looks around the group, and tells them, "Be who and what you truly are." Days later, seven of the people from the barbecue find themselves drawn into a trap laid by a pair of wizards and their accomplices, who kidnap them into a bubble reality. All seven, who have known each other all their lives, are informed that they are not in fact entirely human: they have active fae blood, due to a series of conditions culminating with the blessing of the elderly fae woman. The transformation into fae form comes as a shock: all seven, whether originally female or male, find themselves now unreasonably beautiful women. More urgent even than that, though, is their captivity. Getting back to the real world is a higher priority than this metamorphosis that rapidly begins to feel natural... but this is only the first step, as the diverse types of fae blood they carry begin to surface. With no resources except themselves, how can they escape this prison? If they succeed, how can they possibly reclaim their lives? Just how many other faelings have been kidnapped, anyway, and what happened to them? And is there a way to make sure that their captors never put anyone else through this? Back in the real world, Kayla, who learned long ago to trust her gut instincts, is absolutely certain that something is very wrong. The pattern in the list of missing friends is easy to spot, but makes no sense at all. Then a young woman turns up at the backyard gate who knows more than she should, and even though her explanation makes even less sense, every instinct tells Kayla that Riley is her only way to get them back. If they're not quite what they were, well, that's a bridge to cross later... Just a little note: I'm a big believer in endings that are upbeat but not candy-coated, and not a fan of grim-and-gritty or of glamorized violence. These are adults in a difficult situation. However, no one gets raped, and the physical violence is, all things considered, fairly minimal. There is some harassment, sexual and otherwise, and also some mild restraint and mild verbal abuse. Complicating factors are generally wizardly or fae in nature. If I need to warn you about gender in this being all over the map, some of it reality-based rather than fantasy-based, highly diverse sexuality, or that there is (especially later) some indirect fetish/BDSM imagery and honest character discussion, then you probably should just avoid everything I write. :-) Also available on Scribble Hub.

The Book of Rune
If you like moderately well-researched semi-medieval military logistics with some fantasy twists, and also conspiracy, and exploration, and violence, and maybe a dash of road movie, hey, Ruen just might be your thing. Plot-wise, basically there's a guy who got fired by Death, a kid with pyrotechnic tendencies, and a slave general who wouldn't mind retiring but ended up on a mass suicide mission. If you were looking for a less TL;DR version, a guy who got fired by Death meets a kid with pyrotechnic tendencies, and they try to get the guy un-fired while also trying to come to terms with death together (ooohhhh, look, I'm deep). Meanwhile a slave general does something stupid and ends up being sent on a suicide mission, and he tries to wreak havoc and save lives at the same time. The threads come together, I swear. This is a rough draft of a fantasy semi-book that I've had in the back of my head for some time. I've written a variety of short stories set in the world over the past three years, and I finally kicked myself into writing the actual story. Very much a slow work in progress. Occasional violence (okay, well, maybe more than occasional), occasional foul language.

The Legend of Fanaura: Cursed
'Hey, need some help there?' An unfamiliar voice echoed through her mind, and she startled, losing her grip on the red phial. It rolled through the grass, away from her. "Oh shoot!" she yelped, and her focus diverted from her opponent for a split second, but it was enough to prove fatal. The beast took advantage of her distraction and lunged towards her. She tried to back away, but in her haste, she stumbled and fell. She looked at the beast, inches away from her, and shut her eyes in fear. She raised her arms to cover her head, even if she knew it was futile. Yet seconds passed, and no pain came. Then she heard the beast let out a pained yelp. She opened her eyes to the familiar sounds of battle before her. A tall man stood before her, locked in battle with the beast. He wielded a sword as long as his height, yet it didn't seem to hinder him in the slightest. She watched in awe as he swung the obviously heavy sword around as if it were light as a feather. His movements were swift and precise, and it didn't take long before the beast fell to the ground, motionless. “You alright there, miss?” The man sheathed his sword across his back, before turning to her. Her eyes widened when she heard his voice. It was the same voice who had that had spoken into her mind and the cause of her almost-fatal distraction. "You...!" she hissed.***She was the chosen one to end the war between the Goddesses when they were supposed to take care of the world balance. Refused to be the pawn of the Goddess she chooses to kill herself, thinking that it will end her obligation and suffering. But when she woke up in another body, she realized that she can't outrun her fate. Being reborn in the same world after the end of the Goddesses war in a pre-apocalyptic situation, she knew she needs to face her fate as the cursed heroine. Where Muses Go To Die
Crazy, messed-up, off-the-top-of-my-head writings, put here because submitting them one by one would take too long. So far there have been (7) fictions started, with no end in sight! If you like stories with a conclusion, you're going to hate this. However, if you like ongoing stories, you'll still hate it, because I'm an amateur writer with six months of experience of writing whenever I feel like it, and a habit of annoying the heck out of people.
