《Steal The Male Lead》5.2

Tsukki Ren dismissed all the stares he got from people as he walked forward but that was until people began walking to him.
When Narisa Zeno saw that the other leaders were making their moves, he also began walking towards Tsukki Ren with Seru Akita. Though his purpose was Tendou Yagami, he also had to make sure that the other leader didn't do anything rash and start a fight.
As soon as Narisa Zeno made his presence clear, a voice asked, "You are interested in him?" The person whom asked was Ushi Hina, the leader of Rose.
Ushi Hina wasn't tall and she also wouldn't be considered to be a beauty by many but her eyes held a heavy glint inside that made many look back when seeing her. Just like Narisa Zeno, she was 17 years old and had also built Poison from scratch when she first enter Takimura Academy at the age of 14.
"Zeno, are you here for the same purpose as us?" Another man asked as he stared at Narisa Zeno. His name was Suon Karma, the leader of Arch. He could be considered rather tall amongst the other student, his body wasn't exactly built but he still held some muscles, his features strong and prominent. Suon Karma was 18 years old this year, he would be leaving once this year was over.
Just then, a chuckle was heard, "Zeno, I hope that you aren't after him. If you are, it's not gonna end as a pretty sight for all of us." With a sneer, another boy walked closer to them. His features looked rather like that of a child's but he was considered the cruelest leader among them all. He was the leader of Sin, Noru Kaneki, currently 16 years old.
Narisa Zeno watched as everyone seemed to gather around them anticipating what they would have thought to be a fight.
"Kaneki, you better watch you mouth before my fist lands on your face." Seru Akita was the first to throw the insult as he glared at Noru Kaneki.
"Come at me, then," Noru Kaneki said as he returned Seru Akita's glare and he smiled.
Seru Akita moved for him but Narisa Zeno stopped him, sticking out a hand to block him from going any further.
"My goal isn't him, it was never him. The reason as to why I came out today is because we have already established a peace plan. The first to break that plan, I will personally oversee their punishment. I would rather nobody do so but from the fact that you are all gathered out right here, conflict is going to break out no matter what." Narisa Zeno's voice said, a light smile on his face though his eyes glinted with threat.
Everyone seemingly got the gist of what he was saying and couldn't help but hide their shivers. Though he smiled, they could clearly see the threat within his eyes from the way it glinted heavily as he watched them.
Tsukki Ren, whom was watching their weird exchange could more or less understand what they were trying to do. They were trying to recruit him into their gang. And Tsukki Ren already knew his answer. "If you are recruiting me into your gang, I thank you for the offer but I will decline." And then he walked away from them, heading into the school.
"Wait," Ushi Hina was the first to say as she watched Tsukki Ren walk away.
A glance from Narisa Zeno left her unable to move. "You heard him, he doesn't want to join any gang and it will stay that way. If any of you try to make him join your gang, the peace plan would be considered broken. Our first rule was to never recruit someone whom has already declined the offer. He has already declined all of your offers. That is all I have to say." And Narisa Zeno walked away after that. He could faintly hear a cold voice saying his name but he didn't respond.

"Akita, return back to Lucifer for now." Narisa Zeno said as he tried to locate Tendou Yagami from the crowd, finally seeing him.
Seru Akita looked at Narisa Zeno with raised brows, "You do know that there's a high possibility that he would decline your offer, right?"
Narisa Zeno merely replied, "I know, but getting him would benefit us." It would benefit himself more but he didn't say anything.
"Alright then, good luck. I'll be going back first to speak to the other members, come back soon." Seru Akita said his goodbye as he walked back into the school.
Narisa Zeno continued walking towards Tendou Yagami whom was standing in a secluded area. With every step he took, Narisa Zeno could feel his heartbeat speeding. It had been so long since he had seen him, and it was mostly because of the last world that he was so anxious to meet him.
Narisa Zeno hadn't got much information about Tendou Yagami other than that he helped Tsukki Zeno and was also involved in the Yakuza. He didn't know for sure if his heart was acting crazy on him or if he just missed him too much.
Narisa Zeno knew that he shouldn't have left in the last world, he should've lived for everyone else but he couldn't bear to. He couldn't imagine living without Tendou Yagami, his souls that was incorporated into every different role had made Narisa Zeno fall in love with him even more. Because everywhere he went, everything he did reminded him of the man he had lost. He had gone through one week of that torture and ultimately couldn't bear with it anymore.
Narisa Zeno wanted to live but everything he did then reminded him of the one who had left him. In that world, he could no longer deal with he pain and left. He knew it was a selfish decision because he had definitely hurt everyone else in that world but he was slowly dying no matter what.
Now, seeing Tendou Yagami, Narisa Zeno's heart couldn't help but speed. He merely wanted to pull the man into his arms even though he knew that he couldn't just yet. He needed to stay rational for now, so he merely smiled as he walked towards the man.
Tendou Yagami watched as Narisa Zeno approached him with a smile on his face. His eyes couldn't help but scan the man.
"Hey, my name is Narisa Zeno, leader of Lucifer." Narisa Zeno said, stopping in front of Tendou Yagami whom watched on. He calmed his racing heart as he introduced himself. Although Tendou Yagami may have already heard about his name, he still wanted to make a good impression.
"Tendou Yagami. You have something to ask me, right?" Tendou Yagami asked as he watched Narisa Zeno's action carefully. From the way Narisa Zeno had been watching him, Tendou Yagami could already figure out what he wanted to talk about.
Narisa Zeno nodded his head at that, not fazed as he then asked, "Would you like to join Lucifer?" He made sure to watch Tendou Yagami's reaction.
Tendou Yagami's first instinct was to say no, but somehow, the words couldn't come out of his mouth as he looked at Narisa Zeno. He couldn't help but furrow his brow. Everyone whom had asked him to join their gang, he had always refused them but he was hesitating now. It wasn't that he had a change of heart, he still didn't like the thought of joining a gang but since the person whom asked had changed, his decision was put on stall.

Just as Tendou Yagami finally controlled himself and was about to refuse, a beat in his heart made him pause again. What was going on? He looked at Narisa Zeno whom was still waiting for his answer. What was with him today?
Finally, Tendou Yagami hesitantly said, "Give me some time to think about it." And he watched as Narisa Zeno merely nodded his head with his words. Another pain at his heart startled him, was something wrong with his body?
Narisa Zeno could only say, "Alright then, please get back to me when you have an answer." And with one final glance, he turned to walk away.
Tendou Yagami watched as Narisa Zeno walked away, the pain in his heart finally dissipating. Something was really wrong with him, he didn't act like this when others were around but today, he couldn't find the words to refuse Narisa Zeno's offer.
What was with Narisa Zeno, why was he unable to say anything in front of him?
(Male lead's love percentage has risen to 5%.)
Xue Lu held a sword in his hand, his blue eyes glinting heavily as he watched all the people in front of him whom were on their knees, their body battered and injured, covered in blood. He was also covered in blood, though his body was not injured.
Baicheng had finally took back the sect, finally defeated what was the most powerful sect across the world.
And so, Xue Lu got down on his knees, bowing towards Baicheng as he proclaimed in a loud voice, "Congratulations to the new Sect Leader, Baicheng!"
Those whom had helped Baicheng, his people, immediately got down on their knees as they repeated Xue Lu's words.
Baicheng watched them, a smirk on his lips, his red eyes gleaming deviously. And then, in a voice filled with power, he said, "Will you submit to me, or shall I do to you what you have done to my mother and father?" His eyes went to one man specifically. His uncle, the brother of his father, the one whom had took the position after his father was killed by him.
The man whom had obviously aged looked up and spat towards Baicheng. "I will never submit to a devil like you! I curse you to die even worse than my good-for-nothing brother!"
Baicheng's eyes changed automatically from his words that degraded his father but just as he was about to move, someone beat him to it.
Xue Lu knew that Baicheng's uncle wouldn't submit so he was already prepared to kill the man and make an example out of him. As soon as the man said his words, Xue Lu had already been by his side and swiftly cut off the man's head, watching as it rolled to the ground and blood splattered on him and the people around them.
"Anyone who disrespects the Sect Leader will end up like him. The Sect Leader may hesitant on killing you, but I won't. Anything I deem as disrespectful, I will take care of." With his words, Xue Lu was making sure that he turned out even more like a devil than Baicheng, taking the brute of the curses.
Xue Lu returned to his side, unfazed even as the man's family yelled out in grievance by his dead body. "Baicheng, what should we do with those who won't submit?"
Baicheng lifted his hand as he sneered, "Kill them. I have no need for them when my own people are stronger than them. Their so-called Sect Leader was killed so easily by you, it's a wonder they haven't all died earlier. Take those who won't submit, and torture them. Kill them in the exact way they did to my mother and father."
Xue Lu knew how Baicheng's parents had died, Baicheng had told him. They were pierced by over one hundred sword at the same moment, each sword possessed by their closest friends and family.
Just as Baicheng was going to leave, Xue Lu called out. "Baicheng, I will stay for a while longer."
Baicheng merely continued walking towards the building as he replied, "Do as you wish."
Xue Lu watched as Baicheng walked away before he finally said, "Get up, take away any who won't submit and kill them."
"Yes, General."
But Xue Lu's goal wasn't them, his goal was the man whom had kept his head down the whole time.
As he walked over them, the man lifted his head. Zhu Luishui, the man that had once been Baichneg's husband, the man whom had also betrayed him. Xue Lu looked at him.
"What do you want with me?" Zhu Luishui spat out, his skin marred with cuts and bruises, his robes in tatters.
Xue Lu looked at him, examining him before he asked in a cold voice, "Why did you betray him when he loved you so much?" Xue Lu had always wanted to know this. He knew that it wasn't his place to ask, but being with Baicheng for over five hundred years now, he wanted to know why Zhu Luishui had betrayed that man. He wanted to know why Zhu Luishui had betrayed Baicheng, whom had given his everything to that him.
Zhu Luishui's eyes glinted heavily, remorse within them as he quickly replied, "You are overstepping your boundaries. The matters between him and I are not as simple as that."
Xue Lu knew that. He knew that even if he asked, it wouldn't change the fact that Baicheng had been scarred too much to give his heart to another. And that was why Xue Lu always told the man that he wouldn't betray him no matter what. After so many betrayals, that man had become this way because of it. He no longer believed in love, barely able to trust others if they didn't grow up with his care.
"I know, but I wanted to understand your side of the story too. I apologize for asking." Xue Lu replied. He wasn't going to force an answer and so he turned and began walking away, following after Baicheng, leaving behind Zhu Luishui who gritted his teeth silently as his eyes misted over.
Xue Lu knew that he couldn't change anything now. The only thing he could do now was to stay with that man and protect him. Even if Baicheng would never return his feelings, he was content with just watching over Baicheng and making sure that he was never hurt again.
Because, to love doesn't mean you have to have them.
As Xue Lu watched Baicheng's image on the throne, he smiled.
He was already content with just this much.
Baicheng had been hurt too many times to ever fully heal from his scars so Xue Lu wasn't going to force his feelings on him. He had understood that even before he realized how his feelings towards the man had changed.
"Xue Lu, come here." Baicheng called out as he noticed Xue Lu, eyes turning towards him.
Xue Lu walked over with his words.
But if one day, he could stand by the man as a lover, he would want to hold his hand and tell him once more that he would never leave him.
But, that day wouldn't arrive.
And Xue Lu was alright with that.
To love doesn't mean your feelings will always be returned, Xue Lu understood that.

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14
