《Steal The Male Lead》4.12

Lee Shinwoo felt a presence near him that made him alarm. The thing is, the presence didn't even feel like something that existed, Lee Shinwoo didn't even know why he had felt it.
Min Yongjoon was able to notice Lee Shinwoo's unusual fidgeting and hurried to give out some words of hope, "Don't worry, I'm sure that nothing can happen to them. They're all so powerful, your mom and dad don't seem like the type of people that would let this bring them down."
Lee Shinwoo wasn't worried about that but the fact that Min Yongjoon was still trying to help him made him smile. "I know, my parents are the strongest people that I know. I'm sure that your brother and his boyfriend are perfectly well." As Lee Shinwoo said this, he kicked away a plastic bag that was flying in the air.
Min Yongjoon returned that smile, somehow able to feel that Lee Shinwoo's mood seemed lighter now. "I know that too, after all, my brother is someone who wouldn't give up no matter what. Jinsook would also protect my brother to no end."
Lee Shinwoo could only nod his head at Min Yongjoon's words as he looked at their surrounding. Then, hearing a quiet sound from the distance, his body tensed. It was definitely the sound of a zombie, maybe even a mob of them but it was further in the distance.
Fei Shang had said that Shin Hana and Lee Hwangyang along with everyone else were trapped in the office of a store. There were zombies surrounding that place, but the doors were protected by many locks, and the doors were also made of extremely durable metal.
(How much farther is it away, Fei Shang? Will I have to go through that mob of zombies first to get to that store?)
[Yes, Host. It won't be hard because the zombies in that group are not at a high level.]
(Alright then, please give me any warnings you get.)
Lee Shinwoo looked back at Min Yongjoon who was following him. "We will have to get through that mob of zombies, are you up for it?"
Min Yongjoon took one look into Lee Shinwoo's beautiful eyes and nodded his head surely, smiling as he replied, "Always, just tell me what you need me to do."
Lee Shinwoo raised a brow at that, saying, "Not much. Just go all out, take out your anger or any pent-up frustrations you have. Basically, just go crazy if you want." As Lee Shinwoo said this, the sounds grew closer and closer as Lee Shinwoo and Min Yongjoon picked up their speed.
"Alright then, tell me when to start." Min Yongjoon stared at the hordes of zombies that gradually got closer as they slowly began running at a slow speed.

Lee Shinwoo took a quick estimate of the zombies that were coming at them. There were a lot and they were all spread out all over the places. Some were running, others walking and many had missing limbs and body parts. Most if not all the zombies were rotting, some were in the process of rotting and they looked rather gruesome at first sight.
Right away, Lee Shinwoo said, "Give it all you got." As he said this, he began his attack.
Min Yongjoon nodded his head head as he began getting out his weapons to use them first, not wanting to use his ability just yet.
Lee Shinwoo would prefer to just quickly zap and get rid of the zombies but he also wanted to punch something so he decided to use some weird attacks that actually worked.
The zombies were nasty, that much could be said. Lee Shinwoo was sure that he saw a nest of maggots on one of the zombies he killed and his skin crawled with disgust.
Lee Shinwoo grabbed a zombies by the hand and stabbed it quickly with his knife before he held onto the back of the zombies head and blew it apart with lightening. It was kind of a mess but it got the job done.
On the other hand, Min Yongjoon's situation was better than Lee Shinwoo's. His clothes didn't even look out of place and he wasn't worried at all, his face stoic as if he wasn't fighting with some nasty looking zombies.
Min Yongjoon was getting efficient at using a dagger, saving his energy for later. He would stab at all the zombies fatal part that he knew before twisting the dagger and kicking away each zombies.
If there were anything to be said, it was that the swarm of zombies just kept coming. At this point, Lee Shinwoo could understand how Shin Hana and everybody else weren't able to get out in time. Although that was the case, maybe it was better to be trapped than out in the open, after all, they might've been bitten by accident.
"It doesn't seem like the numbers are going down. Do you have any idea about what might be going on?" Min Yongjoon said as his back was behind Lee Shinwoo's, finally using his ability.
Lee Shinwoo grimaced as he watched the fire in his hand fly away, replying, "No, but there must've been a subway train somewhere close here, that might explain why they just keep coming." Kicking away a zombie, Lee Shinwoo scanned the buildings around them.
Then, Min Yongjoon narrowed his eyes as he stared at something that was on the floor. Seeing a familiar dagger, he hurriedly said, "I think I know where they are." Then, finally deciding that it would be better to get rid of a big majority of the zombies, the light in his hand scattered into pieces as they attacked a zombie and brought them down.

Min Yongjoon ran towards the building where the dagger was next to and Lee Shinwoo followed. Min Yongjoon looked up as he looked at the door that was completely locked, with no way of getting in. Turning to look at Lee Shinwoo, he said, "Can you use your fire to melt away the door? I can keep track of the zombies while you do that."
Lee Shinwoo nodded his head, "I can do that, be careful." Lee Shinwoo smiled a bit as he said this, watching as Min Yongjoon's face lighted up, a grin on his face.
(Male lead's love percentage has rose to 76%.)
"You bet," Then Min Yongjoon turned his back away and worked on getting rid of the zombies.
Lee Shinwoo stood by the door and a hot flame bursted from his hand. Lifting his hand against the door, he immediately began melting away the metal. It wasn't slow but it wasn't at a fast rate either. Lee Shinwoo tried to hurry while Min Yongjoon was keeping him safe and killing the zombies that came close to him.
While Lee Shinwoo was doing so, he tried hard to listen and see if he could hear anything from inside but the only thing that entered his ears were the sounds of zombies growling and moaning. Finally, the lock was melt away and Lee Shinwoo kicked the door open.
Inside, there were no one to be seen and Lee Shinwoo looked around as he tried to find any place where people could hide, spotting another door. Cursing to himself, he hurried to that door and kicked on it heavily with his feet, trying to break away the wooden door. There was an indent of his shoe left behind and he kicked it one more time, hard enough that the door slammed open.
"Honey?"
Standing inside the room were Shin Hana, Lee Hwangyang, Min Hosung, Yoo Jinsook, and some other people. They didn't seem worried about their situation and there wasn't any frustration shown on their faces.
Lee Shinwoo smiled as he said, "Hey, is everyone alright?" Lee Shinwoo asked as he looked at them.
"Why did you come here? There's so many zombies out there, you could have been bitten." Shin Hana said as she stepped up to look over his body.
"I'm fine, mother. We need to get out soon. Yongjoon is keeping the zombies at bay but we don't have long. If we all go at them, it, be faster that way." Lee Shinwoo's face hardened as he remembered that Min Yongjoon was still out there. Although he knew that his man would still be safe, he was still worried.
No more words were said as they rushed out to see that the situation outside wasn't as bad as they had thought.
Min Yongjoon was handling one of the last zombies as he turned to look at them. "Is everyone good?" Min Yongjoon didn't seem to mind that all around him, zombies were spread amongst the open. He even smiled as he asked this.
Lee Hwangyang replied, "Yes, we noticed that the zombies were getting abnormally large so we stayed inside for a while."
Lee Shinwoo scrunched his brow as he heard that. "So you purposely locked yourselves in there?"
Min Hosung looked at Yoo Jinsook whom had a stoic face on and turned to look at Lee Shinwoo as he said, "For the most part, yes. We were waiting for the crowd of zombies to thin out before we came back but you guys did the job so there's not much we need to worry about now."
Min Yongjoon stared back at his brother with a frustrated face. Min Hosung noticed and he asked, "Did you think we got trap somewhere?"
Min Yongjoon looked away as he nodded, "Yes. When we came back, Soyu was all alone and we were worried about that. We asked her where you all went and she said that you guys were gone on a mission but hadn't come back even after so long. Shinwoo and I thought that something had happened so we immediately came to find you all, but it seems that you guys had it."
Shin Hana interrupted before anything could be said. "Let's get home first before we talk, I'm sure that Soyu is worried sick."
Everyone nodded at that and began the journey back to military base A.
Kim Jiyoung looked at Ji Soyu whom was shaking awake. The sound of sobbing immediately made him nervous as he ran to her side and held her in his arms.
Ji Soyu opened up her eyes to find someone holding her and she cried even harder. "They're all leaving me. They're gonna be gone like mommy and daddy because of me and I'm going to be left alone again." Her voice cracked as tears ran down her face and she held on tighter to the person hugging her.
Kim Jiyoung's eyes immediately widened, his hand hurrying to pat her back as he consoled her. "No, that's not gonna happen. They're all gonna come back because they have you here and they don't want to leave you. It's alright, don't cry. They're not gonna leave you because you are their baby. So don't cry, it's alright."
Ji Soyu couldn't help her tears as she cried more and more. Kim Jiyoung comforted her as she went through this and didn't even hesitate to tell her that it wasn't her fault. This situation continued as a knock came at the door.

Sorcery in Boston
The timid daughter of some of the greatest spellcasters ever to have lived has found herself in another world, courtesy of magic gone awry. In Boston, Massachusetts, in the year 1935, she finds some kind souls in a hard era. In the heart of the Great Depression, as war looms around the corner, she seeks to find her place, and must come to terms with both who she is and what she truly desires. Author's Notes: Release Note: I recently realized what the hold up is. My current mental state is not compatible with the planned ending. If I wrote the ending according to what currently feels right, it will be a wretched, cruel ending that feels monstrously unfair and invalidates the work of the various characters... because that's how my life feels at the moment. The planned ending is coming out hollow and awkward, no matter how I write it, and so I've been bashing my head. I will finish it, once I manage to either brute force something decent out, or once my head gets screwed on straight. Audience: This story is not for young children - it contains some profanity, sexual content, violence, gore, and significant adult themes. Most of these are handled delicately enough not to upset teens or adults (hopefully), hence the lack of relevant tags, but it is nonetheless unsuitable for youth. It's fairly slow paced, and focused on the development of very human, very flawed individuals. Length / Completion Estimates: The outline currently involves two books. Book 1 is expected to be done with Chapter 43. It'll probably be completely finished by sometime in March of this year. I expect to move on to the far-more-lighthearted Of Gods and Dungeons (currently in progress / on hiatus). Afterwards, I may decide to redo Book 1, or write Book 2, or actually start sharing the story most dear to me, that I've been working on for several years now. Draft 1: Please be aware that this is first draft material. I do intend to come back to do a second draft after the story is complete. If anyone notices any issues whatsoever with the story, please let me know (pm, etc) so that I can improve the second draft. Writer's Pledge: I've taken the Writer's Pledge, meaning I'm commiting to completing this story. I'm a proud member of WriTE, a group dedicated to finishing stories. It will be done! Behind the Scenes notes: This picture was commissioned from an inked artist by the name of DanP. Up until the time of the protagonist's arrival, history has proceeded as before. Some places and characters have been borrowed from wikipedia entries of interesting figures from the time. I will make note in the chapter comments when such things come up. Naturally, I've taken a great deal of liberty with them. In interest of respecting individuals, I've either attempted to portray them as accurately as possible, or modified them sufficiently enough that they're simply an inspiration, instead of a real portrayal. I've attempted to be as accurate to the era as possible, but I'm not a historian. If you're aware of inaccuracies, please, bring them to my attention so that I can correct them.
