Lee Shinwoo didn't tell anyone about him leaving. After getting Shin Hana's approval, he set out by himself. Of course, that was what he would've liked to say, but reality turned out to be much more different from that.
Although he should've known, he didn't think that Min Yongjoon would actually follow him. Now, as he stood face to face with Min Yongjoon, he questioned him with a rather forceful face.
"What are you doing here?" Lee Shinwoo asked, one hand in his pocket and he cocked his brow, as if he was amused.
Min Yongjoon, for the first time, didn't shy away from Lee Shinwoo's question. "Well, I felt like it." He shrugged his shoulders as if he hadn't said anything weird.
"You felt like it?" Lee Shinwoo repeated, a smirk now on his face. "And you actually followed me just because of that? What if I suddenly betray you and sacrifice you to the hungry zombies awaiting?"
Min Yongjoon merely smiled at that, as if he had forgotten just how shy he once was in front of Lee Shinwoo. With a happy tone, he replied, "Then you wouldn't have saved me in the first place. You're not that type of person, Shinwoo."
Faced with Min Yongjoon's bright eyes and handsome face, Lee Shinwoo struggled to hide his racing heart. He really loved this silly man.
"Alright, come along then. But, you really trust me, don't you? We've only known each other for a couple of days and you're already willing to help me out on a dangerous journey." Lee Shinwoo smiled as felt Min Yongjoon walk closer to him, side by side. It felt nice, but he really wanted to hold Min Yongjoon's hand even though he knew that he couldn't just yet.
"Well, some people, you just feel like you can trust them no matter what. That must be how I feel about you," Min Yongjoon glance at Lee Shinwoo from the corner of his eyes, hoping that he didn't just slipped up. The words had come out of his mouth without him even realizing.
Lee Shinwoo laughed, a laugh that filled Min Yongjoon's heart with butterflies. Upon paying closer attention, Min Yongjoon was now able to notice just how different Lee Shinwoo's facade could be when he was enjoying himself full heartedly. It was weird but he was noticing all the small details about Lee Shinwoo. And upon closer realization, Min Yongjoon discovered that he didn't have his guard up when speaking with Lee Shinwoo, as if he had known this man for years.
"You trust too easily, I don't know what I should say to you." Lee Shinwoo shook his head as he jokingly sighed.
Min Yongjoon merely nodded, "That's okay with me, trusting is easier than always being on guard. The right person will always have my trust and once they break it, I can only say that I should have studied them better."

"You should tell me more about your stories of becoming an actor. There's so much I don't know about you. Here, if you answer one of my question, I'll answer one of yours, what about it?" Min Yongjoon smiled brightly as he asked Lee Shinwoo this.
Lee Shinwoo cocked his brows at Min Yongjoon, whom merely smiled innocently, and rolled his eyes as he nodded his head. "Alright then, you can start."
Min Yongjoon pondered for a second, "Let's start off with baby steps. What's your favorite color?"
"Black."
Min Yongjoon sighed, "Black isn't a color."
Lee Shinwoo just shrugged his shoulders, "Whatever it is, I like it best. Now my turn. Favorite author?"
"No preference, it depends on if I like the book or not. Uhm, when's your birthday?" Min Yongjoon scratched his head for a second before asking.
"January 23, and yours?"
"May 1, although it was heavily debated because it could have been May 2 too after the doctors messed up and forgot to look at the time during my birth." Min Yongjoon grimaced as he said this.
Lee Shinwoo chuckled as he looked at Min Yongjoon's face. "Everything seems to happen to you, you must have a bucket of good luck that's just being stashed."
Min Yongjoon grinned at that, "Maybe, but who knows?"
Just then, a growling sound silenced the two of them. Lee Shinwoo turned to Min Yongjoon as they crouched hiding behind a car.
"You do have the weapons I gave you, right?" Lee Shinwoo asked as he watched Min Yongjoon pull out a dagger and some other small sharp weapons you could throw.
"Yeah, I kept them because I didn't know how long it would take for me to get an ability." Min Yongjoon answered as he pulled out the dagger and unsheathed it, his eyes patrolling the area they were, aiming notes of possibles escape routes if needed.
Lee Shinwoo peaked out from the side of the car and noticed a mob of zombies walking towards their way. The least possible number of zombies there were had to be 20. Lee Shinwoo wasn't worried though, he would be able to easily handle these things but his worry was on Min Yongjoon.
Lee Shinwoo's glance didn't go unnoticed by Min Yongjoon. In response to that, Min Yongjoon sent a smile back, "Don't worry, I'll be fine. Just work on yourself, alright?"
"Alright then, don't get hurt." Lee Shinwoo replied back as he tossed a flame from his hand and into the first zombie he saw. Then, they both rushed out.
Min Yongjoon didn't have an ability but his reflexes were great and he was pretty flexible too. Even though he couldn't kill directly with his dagger, he was able to avoid the zombie attacks coming towards him.

On the other hand, Lee Shinwoo was zapping away at the zombies, switching his abilities every now and then. Min Yongjoon finally seemed to get a hold on where to attack the zombie to weaken them. Since they wouldn't drop dead unless their heads were cut off, Min Yongjoon couldn't do much but slow them down instead.
Lee Shinwoo was able to see Min Yongjoon's situation and would help him out with a free hand when he determined that Min Yongjoon had done his part.
And then, something happened. A light fluttered from Min Yongjoon's hand and landed on the zombie in front of him. The zombie dropped dead just like that, as if it had been petrified to death. Min Yongjoon looked at his hands in surprise.
But he wasn't able to do anything else before the mobs of zombies turned towards him. Without knowing what was going on, another small glitter like light flew towards the zombies in front of him and they all dropped still, just like that.
Lee Shinwoo looked at Min Yongjoon in surprise when all the zombies dropped down without any warning. Crinkling his brows, he put down his hands as he walked towards Min Yongjoon, whom was still in surprise as he looked at his hands.
"How did you that?" Lee Shinwoo asked as he stared at the zombies that lingered by his feet.
"I...I don't know what I did, it just happened..." Min Yongjoon whispered as he turned to look at Lee Shinwoo's eyes, filled with awe.
"That was amazing, you didn't even do anything. It was like your ability automatically reacted in danger and attacked the threat." Lee Shinwoo couldn't help but pull Min Yongjoon's hands towards him to take a look at it. "Can you use it at will?"
Min Yongjoon thought about it for a second before hesitantly nodding his head, "I can try but, I might not be able to do it." Then, his eyes narrowed and a light bounced within his hand. It was a beautiful, bright light, and it almost looked like a tiny star with other pieces of light bouncing off of it and scattering into the air.
And then, Min Yongjoon suddenly noticed something. All the zombies who had been attacked by the white light were slowly changing their forms, disappearing like dust and leaving behind a red core.
Lee Shinwoo could only shake his head in confusion. Then, he put his hand into the ball of light upon Min Yongjoon's hand. Then, he looked on with a smile, "It doesn't hurt..."
And that was true. Lee Shinwoo was expecting for the ball of light to attack him or at least for it to hurt him but it didn't, it merely felt warm. Min Yongjoon smiled as he saw Lee Shinwoo's smile.
And then, the ball of light slowly faded away and Min Yongjoon looked on, a feeling of familiarity filling his heart.
"Should we pick up the red cores?" Min Yongjoon offered at last.
Lee Shinwoo cocked his brow, choosing to put the matter about Min Yongjoon's ability aside.
As Lee Shinwoo knelt to pick up the first red core, he noticed that it seemed bigger now and more vibrant in color. But these were all the zombies that were affected by the light from Min Yongjoon. Lee Shinwoo clenched the red core tighter and smiled. He somehow felt like this was suppose to be important.
As Min Yongjoon came to his side, they turned their head as they heard the sound of a car coming near them. They shared a look, one that held no worry but of questioning.
And then, the car stopped as they stood up. Lee Shinwoo's eyes glared slightly as three men and one woman stepped out. The main character has arrived along with his family, they had delivered themselves right to his doorsteps.
Min Yongjoon clenched his hands tighter, a tension suddenly arising from him. It felt like things were going to change from now on. As he stared at Lee Shinwoo's gaze, he felt something weird from them. Then, staring at the direction Lee Shinwoo was looking at, his eyes darkened. What was going on?
A man stood next to another man.
"What is that light?"
The purple-eyed man smiled gently, holding a light shaped in a star within his hand.
"They call it the Guardian of the Night."
"Guardian of the Night? That seems like a hefty name."
"Well, the Guardian of the Night was once a star in the sky before it fell down to earth. People say that it wanted to witness and help the humans find the truest form of love and so, it made a pact with the Nine Heavens and came down to earth. It doesn't have a human form, but it has a soul. That much gives it immense power."
"What is its role?"
"It only appears when it deems someone worthy of being trusted and guided. It will give you power in return for an item of your giving. It's main goal is to help you seek love and then it will be set free to find another person to guide. It also has the power to heal and purify anything that has been affected by darkness. Since it's main goal is to seek out love, it helps erase darkness."
"And it appeared for you?"
"Well, I got lucky."
"So have you found the person you love?"
"Who knows, maybe I have and maybe I haven't?"
