Then, the memories entered Fei Qianchi's head.

In this world, the setting was located in a zombie apocalypse. The main character, Kim Jiyoung, was the son of a noble family located in South Korea. Kim Jiyoung was normal, not a reincarnated person or transmigrated at all, but he did have a tough life. His father had remarried after his mother had died from a long termed illness and his stepmother was rather evil. To make matters worse, he also had a stepbrother who was the same as his stepmother, evil.

Kim Jiyoung would go on to live a harsh life until the zombie apocalypse begins. After his stepbrother tries to kill him by pushing him into a mob of zombies, Kim Jiyoung discovers his ability. His ability was metal. With his abilities, Kim Jiyoung finds a way to survive and continues his journey to the military bases that were built. He finds the male lead, Min Yongjoon, while searching for supplies in a store. Both were wary in the beginning, but slowly dropped their guard as they agreed to become companions.

Then, they would both work their way towards military base A. Kim Jiyoung was the first to start falling in love with Min Yongjoon. It wasn't surprising as Min Yongjoon was rather easy to get along with once you got to know him. He had a serious side to him when it mattered but otherwise, he was always smiling and joking.

But, Kim Jiyoung didn't speak about his feelings towards Min Yongjoon.

It was only when Kim Jiyoung was ambushed by his stepbrother and nearly on his deathbed that he confessed to Min Yongjoon. Likewise, Min Yongjoon did everything in his power to save him, confessing about how he was also in love with him.

Then, they continued a journey to get rid of all zombie, developing a cure and saving the world.

It was like every other sappy stories out there. The main characters gets injured and confesses and the other side will always say that they are also in love. Then, they walk hand in hand and save the world and live happily ever after.

Now, the body that Fei Qianchi was currently in is Lee Shinwoo, an actor. The best part? Lee Shinwoo was a person who openly showcased his feelings and spoke rather crude, although mostly to outsiders. He didn't sugarcoat his words and he openly displayed his hate towards anyone. Not to mention, Lee Shinwoo had awesome abilities. His ability were lightning, fire, and water. But, Lee Shinwoo was a canon fodder. His role wasn't significant although he did help Kim Jiyoung and Min Yongjoon.

He had took in Kim Jiyoung and Min Yongjoon when they were injured and helped save them from zombies. After that, they each went their way and never met each other again. That was it.

Lee Shinwoo didn't have a tragic background, the most significant things would be that he was put up for adoption as soon as his birth and had never met his birth parents. But that wasn't bad because Lee Shinwoo's parents, Shin Hana and Lee Hwangyang, were both loving and caring and wealthy. They took care of Lee Shinwoo even better than expected.

Lee Shinwoo would grow up wanting to become an actor, which his parents fully supported and he became extremely influential and well known. When the zombie apocalypse begins, his parents and him had set off towards military base A. Because his parents were influential, they were able to get a good position in the military base and were well taken care of.

Lee Shinwoo would become a part of a group, later on becoming best friends with them. They worked to save survivors and get supplies needed for the base.

Lee Shinwoo later died saving his mother, Shin Hana from a zombie attack. Although he died, there were no regrets from the owner of this body, meaning that Lee Shinwoo lived a fulfilling life.

Fei Qianchi could only feel delighted. This character was similar, if not, almost the same to how his real personality was. That meant that he didn't have to pretend about anything didn't have to do things that he never would've done in his first life. But, he was planning on how he should get his lover back to him. Although Kim Jiyoung wasn't a bad person, Fei Qianchi's lover was his own and he had a trouble with sharing.

Well, time to start now that everything's settled.

At this point that Lee Shinwoo had entered, the zombie apocalypse had already begun. Kim Jiyoung had not yet met Min Yongjoon so Lee Shinwoo could do that ahead of time and change the whole flow of the story.

"Honey?" Shin Hana asked as she saw Lee Shinwoo standing silently. "Are you alright?"

Lee Shinwoo looked at Shin Hana. She was beautiful and still remained youthful even at the age of 48.

(Shin Hana, 48 years old)

"Yes, Mother. Where did Father go?" As Lee Shinwoo said this, he took a step towards Shin Hana and grasped her hand, a reassuring action.

The past soul was very close to his adoptive parents and cared for them very much. Even after growing, he never cared about finding his birth parents like most would because he knew that his real parents were with him already. The ones who had given birth to him were just donators. It was a thought that seemed cruel and brutal, but Lee Shinwoo didn't care.

Shin Hana gave a smile as she lifted her head to look at Lee Shinwoo, whom was leaning his head on her shoulder.

"Your father went to get our registration into this military base. Aren't you surprised by the beginning of this apocalypse at all? You seem calm throughout this whole ordeal." Shin Hana asked, her voice soft and sweet as she said so.

Lee Shinwoo shook his head, "Honestly, I'm not surprised. I'm a little use to this, must be because I'm an actor but I feel use to this somehow." He showed a cheeky smile towards Shin Hana.

Shin Hana raised a knuckle and knocked it against his head. With a motherly look in her eyes, she could only shake her head.

A laughter was heard from behind them as they turned around. Lee Hwangyang walked towards them with a smile on his face.

At the age of 50, like his wife, he still looked young. Though he didn't look his age, there was undeniable aging even if it was small.

(Lee Hwangyang, 50 years old)

"Have you already finished?" Shin Hana asked her husband who came walking up to her and embracing her.

"Yes, they gave us our own living area. How is my lovely wife and handsome son doing?" Lee Hwangyang sent a wink at Shin Hana, who shook her head.

"Still joking in this situation, you simply don't age." As Shin Hana said this, Lee Shinwoo chuckled seeing the expression on her face.

Lee Hwangyang merely laughed as he continued, "A perfect match for an ageless beauty it would seem. Must be why I fell in love with you."

Shin Hana punched Lee Hwangyang's arms, though lightly as she gave out a sigh.

"Father, have you gotten any news about what's happening outside the base?" Lee Shinwoo chose this moment to ask his questions.

Lee Hwangyang looked at Lee Shinwoo, his expression got a little more serious as he replied, "Yes, it seems that the matter is more deadly than they thought it would be. More and more people are getting infected and the virus is spreading quickly. I heard some people saying that already, over half of South Korea's population has been wiped out. To make matters worse, the zombies are evolving. From walking and limping they now run at full speed and can even jump."

Lee Shinwoo took in Lee Hwangyang's words as he decided that it was best to reveal that he had abilities. "Father, you said that we had our own apartment, right?"

Lee Hwangyang nodded his head at that question, and standing behind Shin Hana, he wrapped his arms around her body and leaned his chin on her shoulder.

"Can you lead us there, I have something important to show you." Lee Shinwoo decided to confess the truth earlier on. It wasn't like Shin Hana and Lee Hwangyang would betray him or anything, but he wanted to help them discover their abilities quickly too.

"Alright, follow me," Lee Hwangyang agreed to his son's words, not even asking why because he trusted him. Holding Shin Hana's hand, he began walking as Lee Shinwoo quietly followed them behind.

As they walked inside their apartment, Lee Shinwoo made sure the door was closed tightly and that all the windows were sealed and covered as he turned to Shin Hana and Lee Hwangyang.

"What I'm about to show you is something that most people don't know, so please don't be be scared of what I'm about to do."

I still have memories of my childhood. I was a slave, the lowest of human beings, comparable to animals. My mother had sold me away to gain money for my youngest brother, whom was talented and handsome. I didn't blame her for what she did, but I was jealous of my brother.

At the age of 7, I lost my family and was sold to a noble family. I wasn't treated well, that's the only thing I could say.

I took care of the horses as the only slave who did so. I fed them, walked them, trained them, groomed them, and I slept in the stable with them. I wasn't given any clothing, much less a blanket or a sheet to cover where I slept, I merely slept on the hay.

There wasn't much food given to slaves like me, we had to fight for our food. Even the smallest grain, we fought over it. I was the smallest of the pack, being so, I wasn't able to eat much. If I was lucky, I would be able to eat a stale bun, although that would be the only thing I ate for that day, because we were given only one meal a day. If I wasn't able to eat a bun, I would search for any edible plants like flowers and roots.

Slaves weren't given a place to bathe so I would sneak out at night to bathe in a small pond.

And on that day, I met you.

The young master of the family I served had come to ride the horses with his friends. They treated the horses cruelly, beating them, pulling their mane and much more. I was angered. The horses were the only ones I could call my friend. I expressed my anger, and in turn, they had beaten me. I was happy though, that they had spared the horses. The horses were majestic animals, confined to owners whom were simply evil.

You had discovered me lying lifelessly. You knelt down beside me, worry within your eyes.

"You, what is your name?"

I didn't have a name. I was always called it, you, useless, and bastard.

Then, you did something I would never expect.

You told me that you wanted to give me a name. You called me Fei Shang, protecting and giving was it's meaning. And you took me in as your family, as a younger brother.

So, under your care, I grew. Though unlike you I was not a cultivator, I was a soldier. I used many weapons, but the weapon I was most well known for was the spear. By your side, I grew as a fearsome person. I vowed to protect you.

To atone for your mistakes, I met his brother and asked for forgiveness. I told him a plan that could resurrect his brother and in exchange, I asked for him to lighten your punishment.

He has loved you for five hundred years now, please recover your memories and find him again and again so you can love him.
