"What are you doing here papa", Rehan asked his father.
"Nothing I just came to see my pregnant daughter", he said lying easily.
"Hmm I see you are very worried for Aayat.", he said smiling at him. Ranveer sighed inwardly thanking god that his smart son took his lie without much argument.
"Then when I reached here why papa's hand was around your shoulder. You were smiling at him as well", Rehan said. Ranveer looked at his son's smirking face shocked at the statement.
"Playing with ma. Very bad papa. Very Very Very bad. What will she do to you? OH! WHat if she divorced her? Hooo", Rehan said playfully. Ranveer pulled his son's ear.
"What will she do if she found out that her son leaves home early and come late because he comes to meet his pregnant wife", Ranveer said looking at his son's now pale face looking at him with open mouth.
"Hoo I think she would throw her out of Khurana Mansion. Son you can sleep in your cabin in office. I won't stop you", Ranveer said.
Rehan looked at his father and then smirk appeared on his face.
"Papa my wife won't let me sleep in the office. I would sleep peacefully in her room", he completed.
"But what about you papa. You will definitely sleep in your cabin if ma would make you leave. I will arrange a bed don't worry", he said patting his father's shoulder.
"You got this devilish brain from your grandfather I was never like this", Ranveer argued and then sighed. His son was his duplicate copy. In attitude as well as looks. Who was he kidding?
He was his younger version.
"Who is this guy Aayat and what the hell he is doing here?", they heard Aayat's father shout at her.
"Guy?", Rehan's eyebrow raised and worry lines formed on his forehead.
He looked at his father who was looking clueless like him. They both decided to go inside.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Papa I want you to meet someone", I told him to which he looked confused.
"Who?", he said
"Please come out", I told bhai who was in my room. I gave him some food and feed him from my hands. He was just looking at me blankly with different emotions in his eyes. Luckily he didn't stop me.

He came downstairs.
"Who is this guy Aayat and what the hell he is doing here?", Papa shouted
"What the hell he was doing in your room?", he asked with anger clearly audible.
"Papa please calm down", I told him and he looked at me. I just nodded at him assuring everything was fine.
"Mumma?", I yelled and she came out of kitchen with her spatula .
"who is dying", She said with irritation.
She hates it when somebody disturbs her while cooking.
"I want you to meet a very important person", I told them and went near my brother. I took his hand in mine and intertwined the fingers. I know I am taking risk but I want to take this.
I thought may be I could be wrong that he is my brother. In night when I was unable to sleep I heard the voice of many cars entering in the house. I knew they are here and that warmth in my heart said everything. But to make sure I went downstairs and went near the guards. Bhai was unconscious at that time. I took his hair sample and sent it for DNA test.
If not for Vaishnavi I wouldn't get the reports this early.
He is undoubtedly my brother and I am ready to take any kind of risk to make him stay with our family. Our happy family.
I looked at my brother who was looking overwhelmed by finding his parents after so many years. I squeezed his hands a bit to bring his attention to me. When he looked at me. I nodded at him giving him a assuring smile.
"I told you mumma- papa my brother is alive. My heart says this and today he is standing in front of us all fit and fine", I told them. They looked confused.
"What do you mean Aayat?", Papa asked looking at bhai with heavy voice.
I raised our adjoined hands as a tear fall down my left eye.
"I found my brother. My Anant Bhai", I said and many tears fell from my eyes. Not like usual they were happy tears.
I heard gasps and mumma's spatula fell from her hand. She took slow steps towards bhai. When she was standing in front of him. She raised her trembling hand to touch his face. When she was sure he was here for real.

She hugged him immediately crying her pain she kept locked in her heart for these many years.
"I am so sorry. I am really sorry Anant. Mumma didn't protect you the way she should. Mumma is so bad. She let that ugly man take you away from me.", she said crying loudly.
"Mumma please don't cry", Bhai said.
"Call me Mumma one more time please baby. I thought I would never hear that word from your mouth. My ears were dying to hear you call me mumma from these many years", she said touching his cheeks lovingly.
"I am sorry Mumma for leaving you alone", Bhai said as tears fell from his eyes as well. He pulled her in another hug as if she was craving for her motherly warmth.
I went towards papa who was looking shocked watching his son in front of him. I put my hand on his shoulder. He looked at my face as if asking me whether I was saying truth. I nodded at him and he started taking small steps towards him.
Bhai looked at him and broke the hug. Mumma looked at papa and nodded at him.
"Papa", Bhai said and that moment papa hugged him.
After few moments mumma also hugged them leaving me behind.
"I am still the youngest", I told them and bhai broke the hug. He looked at me with confused look.
"Bhai you still love me the most na?", I asked him like a child to which he smiled and opened his arms for me.
I ran in his arms like a small kid.
He was so tall my head reached till his shoulder only.
When I heard his heart beat I felt so much peace. I let my emotions take over me and let those sobs out.
"How can you leave me bhai? I was so alone without you. I always wanted a brother when I had one. How can you forget about me?", I said hitting his chest but he had no affect of it. He kept on having a tight grip around me.
"My small baby missed me?", he asked like he used to do in childhood. I nodded like everytime.
"I missed you too", he said.
I broke the hug and looked at him accusingly.
"You forgot about me", i said and pouted.
He patted my cheek lovingly and mumbled "Drama Queen".
"You still love me the most right or mumma took that place from me", I said playfully glaring at mumma who gasped.
"Of Course love you the most. You are my little cute sister", He said and I gave him a big childish smile with all my teeth in dispay.
"I love you too", I said.
"Now let's do a group hug", I said and we all hugged each other.
"Where is dadi by the way", I asked after breaking the hug.
"She went to the nearby temple", Mumma said while wiping her tears.
"Let's invite our whole family. Bhai can meet everyone", I told them and they thought for a while then nodded.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Our whole house was decorated beautifully. Many guests were downstairs. When bua and dadi saw bhai there reaction was the same as mumma-papa. They cried their heart out.
It turned out papa organised a grand party inviting all his business associates.
I was here wearing a beautiful silver embroidered net lehenga. I think its too loud but mumma bought it for me. I don't really argue about it because this party is for my brother. And many well known people are invited. This party is going to be like a marriage or may be like a festival.
I was tucking the net dupatta on the shoulder when I felt arms around my waist.
I was too shocked that the safety pin prick in my shoulder.
"Tsk"
"Are you mad Aayat. Can't you work carefully", Rehan said and turned me around.
He opened my blouse and removed the sleeve from the injured shoulder to look at the wound.
"You are making a big deal Rehan ji", I gasped.
"Shut up, Its bleeding", he said looking at it.
"Its a small wound", I told him."
"Show me that stupid safety pin. Let me see if it is having any kind of rusting. If it is having then lets go to the hospital", he said
He looked at the safety pin and thankfully there was no rusting.
"Now make me wear this blouse again", I said turning around.
"But I think you are looking great like this", he said looking at my exposed shoulder as his eyes were now darker than before.

The Stormcrow Cycle
Once a powerful and lauded witch, Ba'an salu-Ba'an now lives alone in a cave in the desert, waiting to die. When she rescues an outlander from certain death she becomes embroiled in a deadly game of politics and empire, of heart and soul, but worst of all--of hope and love and a chance at a peaceful future. Can a disgraced witch find a reason to live her life again--and if so, what price must she pay? The Stormcrow Cycle is a trilogy comprising of The Exile, The Lion, and Abomination. Tags or genres for each book: The Exile: romance, slice-of-life The Lion: romance, slice-of-life, politics Abomination: tragedy, high/epic fantasy (aka "Everything is on fire!") Updates once a week whenever I have time. Cross-posted on Wattpad and Scribble Hub. The CBMokedi cover will return! Excerpt: She looked down at him again. Young. Healthy, from what she could see, except for the wound that was killing him. He was handsome in a way that suggested a life of wealth and plenty. She did not think he had ever starved. Someone important. Her shadow fell across him, and he frowned. Blearily, he opened his eyes. They were amber and bright, even as he lay dying in the dirt. She could feel his soul, blazing inside of him like a fire refusing to die even as his body began to fail. He met her gaze, eyes widening in what she guessed was surprise—or shock. But he never looked away, staring up at her as though transfixed. Ba’an made her decision. She raised her hand and covered his eyes. In another moment, a murder of crows cawed as they took wing. The man and woman were gone from the road, leaving only the dead staring up into the sky. Note: This is a high-fantasy set in a low-magic world. The first book is largely character-driven and we really only hit the real plot in Book II, so if you're not fond of long epic yarns you ought to skip this one. I also don't include trigger warnings, but mind the "traumatizing content" tag--all societies minus one practice slavery and the world is indeed, rather grim!

8 120The Hazards of Skinny Dipping
This isn't a deep book about first loves or self-discovery. If you want a book like that, I'd be happy to recommend one, but I don't have that kind of story to tell. Instead my story is about rash decisions and finding out that your dream guy is bad in bed. It's the story of when I finally went skinny dipping, and how my life was never the same again. Oh, and it's also the story of my freshman year of college and realizing Mr. Right might have been there all along.
