People say words kill just as much as knifes do. That's wrong. It's bullshit. Words kill more.
Because a scar of a knife might hurt, but will fade away eventually. A scar of a knife just leaves a white mark on your skin. A scar made by a knife never has much impact on your mind. A scar made by a knife can only kill if it's deep enough, deep enough to let blood rush out of the body.
However a scar made by words will hurt and it'll never go away. The words will repeat in your head until you think you're crazy, until you believe it yourself. A scar made by words will stay, shattering your heart. A scar made by words will kill you from the inside, tutoring your body, taking away your sleep. A scar made by words will let you kill yourself, it will make you suicidal. You can't help it, to feel helpless. Doctors can't remove this scar, they can't help you. You're on your own.
So never say that words kill just like a knife. Remember the difference. A knife will kill you from the outside, people can help you. Words will kill you from the inside, you'll be all alone.

Luckily for me, I spent a couple months convinced I was dying and stepped away from the project. I'm not dying by the way, at least not any more than in the traditional sense. But during that period of inner turmoil, I was able to step back and realize I wasn't too thrilled with the direction this was going. So I have relaunched this project under the name Duck Around and Find Out. Some elements will be the same, and some early chapters may be pretty close to what was in the original draft, but I wanted to get into the action with a bit more haste.
