Monday
"We have these teen pregnancy pamphlets, to help you throughout your pregnancy, congratulations" our doctor smiled at my mom and I.
We exited the room and started walking down the hall.
"Well, I know you already told the father, but is he going to be in the baby's life?" My mom asked as we pushed both the doors that lead into the waiting room.
"He said he'll help throughout the pregnancy but, he can't be in the baby's life" we exited out of the building.
"Did he say why?" My mom looked at me concerned.
"No" we got in the car.
"Do you want to go look around for baby stuff? Might as well start looking now" she backed out of the parking space.
"Yeah" I simply answered.
I was texting Madison about my prenatal appointment and buying the baby stuff.
"You know with being pregnant you have to go in your junior year pregnant" my mom glanced at me.
"Yeah, I know" I sighed.
We kept on driving until I started getting a phone call. I looked at the caller ID and seen it was an unfamiliar number.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Maisie? It's Darren"
"Oh hey" I responded nervously. Why would he be calling me?
"Did you go to your appointment?" He asked.
"Wait, aren't you in school?" I asked him.
"Yeah, free period, but did you?"
"Ohh, and yeah I did"
"Is the baby doing fine?" He asked.
"Yeah I guess? I don't know I kind of wasn't paying attention the last half" I giggled.
"Okay, but I told my mom, and she almost slapped me, but she wants to meet you and your mom" he explained.
I froze and slowly looked at my mom as we pulled into Target.
"Yeah, okay just text me when and we'll be there" I said.

"Okay, see you" he hung up.
I quickly saved his number in my phone and got out of the car after my mom found a parking space.
I walked by her side, "Hey mom, Darren's mom wants to meet us and talk sometime"
"Okay, when?" She asked.
"I don't know I told him to text me when" we enter into the store.
We headed to the baby part of the store. There where blankets, strollers, carriers, cribs, and so much more.
"When could we tell the gender?" I asked my mom as I ran my fingertips along the clothes hanging on the racks.
"Usually the earliest you can tell is twelve weeks"
I nodded. Looking around at the baby stuff was overwhelming.
"Mom?" I said quietly.
"Yeah?" She looked at me.
"I'm scared"
"It's going to be okay, you have support, and I am willing to help you with anything you need throughout this whole thing" she hugged me.
"Thanks, but I have a question" I said.
"Okay?"
"Can we not look at baby stuff just yet?" I chuckled.
My mom laughed, "Yeah, this is quite overwhelming"

I was laying in my bed, watching makeup tutorials on my phone and saw Darren texted me.
My mom wants to have you guys over for dinner @ 7.
How am I suppose to go over to his house when I don't know where he lives?
He sent me another text with his address.
I ran down the stairs and around the corner to my moms room.
"Mom, Darren said his mom wants us over for dinner at seven this evening" I informed her.
"At seven? What time is it?" She asked.
"Like five?"
"Okay, you know where he lives?" I nodded at her question.

"Okay"
I ran back upstairs to pick a elegant but casual outfit. What if his mom gets mad at me because I'm pregnant?
I settled on leggings and a dark green cardigan that reached my knees.
I laid the outfit on my bed and went downstairs to watch TV.
Time passed and I was getting dressed. We arrived at his house which was on the other side of town from mine.
My mom and I walked up to the door and rang the doorbell. A couple seconds later, a lady with dirty blonde hair and blue eyes, she looked really young like maybe her late teens or early 20's.
"Are you Maisie?" She asked.
I nodded my head and she smiled, "Come in, you can have a seat at the table" she opened the door wider for us to enter.
We walked in and followed the girl, "I'm Darren's sister if you're wondering" she glanced back at us with a smile.
We reached the little cozy kitchen with a table off the side of the room.
"My mom went to get my brother but you can sit" she smiled.
"Thank you" my mom said.
She nodded and disappeared.
My mom and I sat next to each other in silence until we heard footsteps coming near the kitchen.
"Maisie and Mrs. Jenson! Nice to meet you, I'm Melanie, Darren's mom"
