《Toxic》I Did You A Favor

-From your POV-
Blue and I were sitting on the couch, just watching a movie when I heard a knock at the door. We looked at each other in confusion. I set the popcorn bowl in his lap and got up, grabbing one of my handguns and cocking it as I crept towards the door. I slowly put one hand on the handle and swung the door open fast, aiming the gun outwards as I did so. Jesus Christ my soul just left my body. I dropped my gun down as soon as I saw who it was. "J?? Scott, come in come in." I say as soon as I saw Joker holding onto a soiled red cloth over his shoulder.
I sat him down on one of the kitchen stools as I inspected the wound. Blue was still sitting on the couch, watching in confusion, and Scott was leaning against one of the counters. I lightly ran my fingers around it and he just tensed up. "They got you pretty nasty. Nothing I can't fix though." I say as I squint my eyes at it. "Blue, go in the bathroom and go under the sink and bring out the small red kit!" I shout over. I hear footsteps get up and trail off, so I know he's gone to get it. My pointer finger lightly runs over his shoulder, causing his muscles to twitch. "You're going to be fine." I say, still inspecting the bullet. I quickly flick my eyes up to him and our eyes meet immediately. He looks at me for a few seconds before looking away, signaling me to look back down at the bullet. A moment later, Blue comes in and sets the kit down on the counter. "Thanks." I say as I turn my back to wash my hands at the sink.
"Who are you?" Joker asks him in a low and annoyed tone. I turn around as I pat my hands dry on a towel and click the kit open. I find some latex gloves and snap them on.
"Blue. One of the henchmen here. And you are?" he responds, sticking his hand out for a handshake. J just stares at his hand before responding.
"Joker." he says coldly, causing Blue to take his hand back. "Funny outfit for a henchman." he mumbles out. We weren't expecting any company and were watching a movie, so I was wearing a tank top and sweatpants and Blue was wearing sweatpants and a zip-up hoodie and both of us were barefoot. So, J had a point. I began focusing on what I was doing, so I began cleaning off the wound.
"Well... it's nice to meet you. She talks about you from time to time." Blue tells him. Blue, please shut the fuck up.
"Oh really?" J asks with a small hint of amusement.
"Mhm. She talks about the house and the club and what it was all like when you helped her escape prison." Blue explains.
"How oft-" J begins asking. I reach my forceps in and pull the bullet out, causing him to interrupt his own words with groans and cussing from the pain. Perfect timing.
"Sorry, it was really stuck in there." I say as I set it down on a piece of gauze that was waiting on the counter. I quickly look at his shirt and pants and notice how much blood they're covered in and know right away that there's no way that's all his blood.

"Did you just say 'sorry'?" he asks me. I look up at him and his eyes were already watching me, observing me, closely.
"I will put the bullet back in." I say sharply before looking back to what I was doing. He lets out a small chuckle and doesn't say anything else. I haven't heard that laugh in so long. It was so different from his mischievous one; it was more likable. More charismatic and endearing. It was silent for a minute as I calmly stitched the wound shut, and then Scott spoke.
"It's quite the setup you got going, Y/n." he said to me. I just finished the stitches, so I stood back up straight and tilted my head, inspecting my work before looking up. Before I could say thanks, Blue chimed in.
"Y/n?" he asks. I had completely forgotten I hadn't told any of the goons my real name. They just called me boss or the occasional 'madam' and knew that I went by Magenta, but never did I tell them that my name was Y/n. All of the attention in the room shifts to Blue's confusion. I just continue throwing away the wrappers, gauze, and dirty gloves.
"Well what else would she be called?" J says sassily. Huh, I don't know... Doll? I roll my eyes as I wash my hands in the sink and pat them dry.
"Very rarely do I ever tell anyone my first name." I say calmly.
"So I've gathered." Blue says. I cross my arms and lean up against one of the counters.
"Yeah, you could just be like him and steal a confidential government file on my criminal record and learn my first name." I say, pointing at Joker.
"Sounds so romantic." Blue says. I see J give him a death glare and Scott just look away. I sigh and then quickly look J up and down.
"You need to change your clothes out." I tell him. His head moves from Blue's direction towards mine.
"What?" he asks.
"You heard me. You can go use my bathroom to shower and hand your clothes off to someone and I'll wash them. But you're clearly covered in someone else's blood. The CDC would highly frown on that." I say in attempt to lighten the mood but also convince him.
"I'm fine, thanks." he grumbles out.
"You bust me out of prison, set me up with a lavish life in your mansion, buy me my own ranch, a Tesla, henchmen, everything. The least you could let me do is clean your clothes let you use my shower. Don't be in such a rush to leave me, yeah?" I say as I stand up straight off the counter. He sighs and looks to Scott who shrugs, both of them knowing I'm stubborn and won't budge. I smile as he looks back to me, knowing I've won. "Splendid. I'll show you where it is." He stands up from the stool and follows me.
My bathroom was connected through my bedroom, so as we walked in I was praying he didn't focus too much on the unmade bed sheets and my clothes on the floor. I hadn't done anything with Blue, my room was just a mess, but I didn't want him getting the wrong idea. Wait, why would I care if he did have that idea? I had pulled some towels out of the linen closet and turned the faucet of the shower on and then turned back around to face him. I handed him the towels and noticed how close we were after having not seen each other at all in a while. "When I leave, I'll close the bedroom door and you can just throw your dirty clothes on the floor out there and I'll come by at some point and pick them up." I tell him. He just nods. "J?" I say before I step out of the door way. He just hums in response, facing away from me as he pulls his shirt over his head, exposing his back. "Nevermind. Nothing." I miss you. I walk out of the room, closing the bedroom door on my way out. Scott and Blue were still in the kitchen, making awkward small talk and looked relieved when I came back. "Scott, please, do you want anything to eat or drink? I can take your jacket and shoes for you." I offer.

"Oh, sure. I can put my shoes and coat up but I'll have a water or something." he says.
"Of course." I walk over to the fridge and pull out a water bottle and hand it to him when he returns from putting his shoes and coat up. "We were watching Avengers. Care to join?" I say as I grab a water bottle for myself. He agrees, so the three of us retire to the living room and resume where Blue and I left off.
About ten minutes in, I decide now would be a safe time to go grab J's clothes without running into him half naked. I excuse myself and creep into the room to swipe his clothes off the floor. I heard the shower still running when I stepped in, so I knew he was still in there. I quickly grabbed the clothes and left, closing the door behind me. I went and put them in the laundry before going back to the living room.
15 more minutes go by and I hear the washing machine stop so I get up to move his clothes into the dryer and go back to my seat. He was still in the shower, but he pays the utility bills so he can take an hour long shower for all I care. Five minutes later, I hear the faucet finally turn off. His clothes would be at least 20 minutes in the dryer, so I don't know what he wanted to do while he waited, but I would be a rude house guest if I didn't go figure something out.
I got up from my seat again and walked into my room and began shuffling through my closet, looking for something to give him until his clothes dried. I guess he didn't hear the bedroom door open (or just didn't care) because he swung the bathroom door open and walked our, towel wrapped around his hips. I heard the door and quickly glanced over my shoulder before going back to my search. "What are you doing?" he asks confused.
"Here." my hand had found some men's sweatpants that were obviously not mine but were long enough to fit him. I turned around and threw them at his chest and he caught them. To be honest, I had no idea who's they were or how they got into my clothes. Must've been a fluke from packing. They could've been Bones' or Blue's-
"These are mine." he states, half confused as to why the hell I have his pants. Well that would explain it.
"Congratulations. " I say as I close my closet doors. "Sorry for catching you compromised." I say as I begin walking back to my bedroom door.
"Nothing you haven't seen already." he mumbles under his breath. I just inhale deeply and go back to the couch. I hear footsteps from behind me and see him slowly stalking out of my rooms, shirtless, and arms folded against his chest. "Do you want anything to eat? There's plenty in the fridge or pantry." I offer him. He just shakes his head so I return my attention to the movie, which was almost over now.
Eventually, I hear the dryer buzz, so I begin to get up and check it. "It's fine, I'll get it." J offers. I sit back down in my spot and he gets up and follows the sound. He comes back a minute later, still shirtless. "They weren't all the way done yet so I put them on a new timer." he says calmly. I just nod and keep watching the movie.
The movie ends and Scott stretches out with a yawn. "Good movie. I am so tired." he declares.
"You can go home, I'll give him a ride back." I offer.
"What?" he and J say at the same time.
"Jesus Christ I can't make a gesture towards anyone can I??" I throw my hands up and scoff. Scott just sighs before standing up.
"Have it your way. Night guys." he says as he grabs his car keys and heads for the door.
"You can go home too. You have the night off; the amount of testosterone I have endured for the past hour and a half has given me a headache and I want to be alone." I sigh.
"But, are you sure? You're going to be all alone..." Blue protests. I hear J lightly scoff in the background.
"Yes, that is the goal." I say with a soft smile. He looks like he's about to speak again, but just stands up and pulls his car keys off the coffee table. He then proceeds to lean over and quickly kiss my face before saying goodnight and leaving. I just sit frozen in place as I hear the front door click.
It was just us now.
Just the two of us, alone, in this big ass house.
