《delivery girl》Ch.64

"hey, daehoon, this guy is taking shots at you." one of the said streamer's bald workers said with a smirk.
"everyone is talking about him." chimed another, "should we leave him?"
"just let him be." daehoon sighed, "we aren't kids, we're nineteen now. if we let every little thing bother us, we'll never truly be adults."
he scrolled through his phone, humming as he saw all of the messages girls had sent him.
"isn't it funny? just post a video and all of them start sucking up... so many dumb bitches."
"it's because of how you look. if you weren't handsome then nobody would be sucking up."
the leader sighed and tossed his phone aside.
"obviously good looks don't get you too far. that (y/n) chick and her damn sidekick are gonna be on our asses in a few days. the only important thing about this pace book shit is that it's making money... fast."

zack was sitting on the curb outside of a convenience store waiting for (Y/N) to come out with the slushy she owed him after losing a game of paper football.
'damn... i bet she's only taking this long for the plot.' he thought, grumbling to himself and leaned back on his arms, the stiff casts making strong pillars to lean back on.
'i'm sure the throbbing is normal...damn this sucks, can't even get comfortable.'
two guys suddenly approached him, interrupting his grumpy musings.
"what? who are you? do you know me?" zack asked impatiently.
"no, not you. do you know these guys? they go to your school..." the chubbier of the two said, showing his screen to show zack a picture of doo and the infamous streamer, taejoon.
"you're pretty aggressive, hehe." the other snickered.

zack looked at the screen, too focused on mentally scolding doo to respond to the taunting comments kf the too older boys.
"so do you know them or not?"
zack stood up and went to walk into the convenience store.
"i dunno, bye. leave those two alone, they're not worth the time." he said dismissively, waving the two off with his good hand.
"huh? this punk.." growled the larger of the two goons."
"he's pretty rude!" laughed the other.
the larger stomped up behind zack, ready to smack him upside the head, 'how about i teach this punk a lesson...'
before his meaty hand could deliver the smack, zack had whipped around to kick the man in the face, stopping his foot when it barely brushed his nose.
"you want to get hit by somebody in a cast? you're really ruining my day, you know." zack hissed.
"you two should just go h-"
zack was interrupted by a baseball bat slamming into one of his arms causing him to collapse on the concrete.
"can you use your cast as a shield? or was that just instinctive?" daehoon asked coldly.
zack sprang to his feet but before he could even try to defend himself the cast on his opposite arm was cracked by the blunt force of yet another blow. he had to grit his teeth to keep himself from crying out.
"what, you think you can mouth off to us with no consequence? i'd continue, but i'm busy. you're lucky we didn't meet in my neighborhood."
he dropped his bat on the ground and sauntered off, going back to his car and driving off to continue his search for Taejoon.
(Y/N) found zack in a trembling heap on the sidewalk. she gasped, nearly dropping the slushees and rushing over to him, ignoring the concerned gazes of other pedestrians.

"jesus christ, what did you get yourself into this time?" she hissed, placing a hand on his back, trying to gently coerce him into an upright position.
"i don't even know, that damn pacebook fucker just popped out of nowhere and-"
(y/n) froze, the soothing circles thr was rubbing on zack's back coming to a stop.
"that what? did you say pacebook star?"
"well if you'd just listen to me-"
"which one was it, seriously?"
"i don't know, i don't pay attention to that shit. Daejoon or some shit?" he wondered aloud.
(y/n) let out a sigh.
"ah, i see."
zack narrowed his eyes at her. "what's that look for? you look like i ate your snacks again..."
"nothing, i'm gonna drive you home, okay?"
"what?! i thought we were going to the park!" zack barked.
"yeah, well now your arms are screwed. if you don't let them rest they won't heal properly." (y/n) chided.
with a heavy sigh zack gave in and allowed (y/n) to drive him home. he snapped at her, embarrassed when she tried to follow him in to make sure he actually iced his arms.
"i've done this before! damn!" he growled with red dusting his cheeks and tried to push her out of his house.
"what did i say about letting your arms rest? if i find out that you didn't rest i'm gonna beat you up next time i see you." she threatened.
"yeah, i'd like to see it." zack scoffed.
"i have your mom's number, she'll tell me."
"whatever!"

daehoon was sitting in the passenger seat of his expensive car, filming yet another vlog when he received a text from a strange number.
"oh! a fan must have found my number." he narrated to the viewers, ignoring the flood of comments asking where they could find his number as well.
he paled when he saw the message wasn't filled with encouraging words and emojis.
Daehoon Shin.
the message read, he gulped when a second message appeared in the new chat. there was only one person who would dare to privately send him a message like that...
You're lucky I'm under orders to keep you alive.
