《delivery girl》Ch.37

When the time for the meet up with the scammers finally dawned upon the group, Zack was more than ready to fight.
Well, not really. But he was angry, and when he was angry he was dangerous.
"We're here, you dirty thieves."
Woojin and his followers stopped their conversation to look at the entrance of the alley, where Zack and Vasco confidently strolled in. Daniel tried to stay behind them to hide himself.
"Huh? You..."
"You know him?"
"Haha, was it you? (Y/N)'s little buddy? You brought even more friends?" Woojin laughed.
"That's him, the guy I knocked out before."
"Haha."
"Oh, that's him?"
"Why're you back? Wanna 'nother beating?"
"You guys want some too?"
"Just like I did to that kid the other day?"
"That kid is back?"
At the mention of Namsoo, Vasco stepped forward, ready to brawl. He only stopped when Zack held his hand out to stop him.
"Just a sec... I'm first." Zack declared.
He held up his fists and got into a boxing position. "You three, come here."
There was a dramatic pause...before the scammers began to snicker.
"What?"
"What'd he say?"
"That clown."
"He took a beating and brought two more guys! Haha!"
"Look at the pansy in the back!"
"Haha, you're funny." A tall, skinny male laughed, scratching the back of his head. "You want all three of us? How old are you guys?"
Zack only suspiciously glared at him, remaining on edge. And good thing he did, because the other male attempted to swiftly kick the side of his head with no warning.
Zack easily dodged, making his opponent gulp. He grabbed the back of the taller's head and smashed it into the concrete wall.

The group went silent as they watched the male slide down the wall, blood streaking his face's path.
'He's out!! He dodged... Seungpyo's kick?!'
"Next." Zack panted.
Vasco saw Zack's wobbly stance, 'He's tired.'
".. Now let me." Vasco offered.
"I got this." Zack said, a picture of Mira in his head. She was something to fight for.
'I got this.'
"Next." He repeated.
A larger guy came rushing towards Zack, his hands held out to grab him.
'This punk's a boxer! If I grab you, it's all over! If I grab ya!!' He swiped his hand out to grab onto Zack, but he moved out of the way.
Zack managed to fit a punch in when the guy was recovering from his missed lunge.
'I just have to get a hold.' He tried to grab Zack again, but to no avail.
Zack continued to land punches, too fast for his opponent to even think of touching him.
'This dude, how's he so fast?!' Woojin watched with wide eyes.
Eventually the big guy fell and Zack remained victorious.
"... Well? Next?"
'Who the hell is he?!' Woojin gulped. 'He's pretty good! He's a boxer like me! But he's still hurting from before! His legs are shaking! He's hit a wall!! Although he's worn, he fights alone!' He thought, glancing at Vasco and Daniel.
'These two must be useless!!... Then I just need to beat this guy!!'
Zack remained in his boxing position, gritting his teeth. Woojin mimicked him, smirking.
"How's this? Fast, huh? So you box? I've been in the national tournament!!"
Zack's fist clenched, and before Woojin could continue to hype himself up, Zack punched him as hard as he could in the gut.
Daniel gasped. 'Th-That! I used that on Zack! A body shot!!'

Zack glared down at Woojin.
"Hey, scam artist. The nationals are nothing. Being fast isn't everything. How does that feel?" He asked through heavy breaths. Inside of his badass shell, Zack was relieved. 'I've recovered my honor!! For Mira!!'
"There He is!!" Another voice shouted.
'Huh?'
"Seungpyo!! We're here!!"
"Here!! Found you!!"
"Haha, now you're fucked." The first guy Zack had faced laughed, still cupping his nose. "You assholes. We're the top dogs around here."
Zack panted and glared. 'Fuck, I'm spent.'
Before Vasco could step forward, there was a sudden bang, the sound of metal and plastic hitting the ground.
'Was that a... gunshot?' Daniel nearly whimpered, 'This is too much, I gotta get outta here!'
Everyone's heads whipped to see what caused the sudden noise. Who had brought the weapon?
"Top dogs?! Ha!" A voice laughed as if they had heard the funniest thing in the world.
The source of the voice and noise was a tall, muscular male with electric green hair. He was trying to collect himself as he shoved something underneath his belt.
"(Y/N), are you hearing this shit?! Ah, god. It hurts!" The male wheezed, leaning over and clutching his side.
"How are you top dogs on turf that isn't even yours?" The girl asked, making her presence known. She cocked her head to the side.
"I leave you guys alone for two weeks, and you forget how to act." She scolds.
"And acting like this without checking for cameras? How sloppy." She tsked, nodding her head towards the pile of broken technology.
"I think you guys should be punished for being disobedient, no?" Huo said with a grin.
"W-Well! There's only two of you against an army of us! We can take you." One of the gang's members bravely shouted.
Huo smirked and cracked his knuckles. "Do you wanna test that theory?"
"There's not only two of them." Yet another unfamiliar voice started.
"No friend of Vasco's is fighting alone." Jace said confidently, the rest of the burn knuckles standing behind him.
Daniel's had dropped to the ground, trying to process what the hell was going on. Woojin seemed to be struggling to taking in everything else in as well.
"Don't you guys worry about it, the Burn Knuckles got this!"

Fantasy World Epsilon 30-10
New Dive Assignment: 0B5 Personnel: Citizen of Gamma G-037-072 Jonathan Kelly World Designation: Epsilon H-037-072-030-010 Classification: Pre-industrial Exotic World, significant outliers in biosphere including atypical flora and fauna. Quarantine protocol in effect pending more data and acclimation testing. Further anomalies include populations of morphologically distinct humanoids, and aberrations in otherwise normative physics laws. Causal chain appears provisionally stable. For the purposes of delaying onset of collapse as well as above mentioned factors, only one subject is cleared to Dive. Initial mandates shall proceed with scouting and surveillance. Further details are classified. Warning: All other qualifying personnel are currently dispatched. Refusal will result in deployment delays and possible unsupervised causal decay. Do you wish to accept this assignment? Note to Readers: This is not MC isolated in a new world. This is new world joins the multiverse. What I'm tentatively coining Subverted Isekai (Formerly I used 'reversed' but, as pointed out, that would be fantasy MC goes to the modern world. Hey, there's idea! Not this book though.). There is plenty of scientific and philosophical stuff; I know that can be a turn off for some. It has a strong bearing on the story, but is mainly covered in the 'Comments & Calculations' section (optional reading of course). If you are looking for an extreme suspension of natural laws with no technical considerations, you will not find it here. Formatting Notes: Audio chatter from characters that are not currently in the scene I format in "inverted commas and italics". Given the layered nature of modern communication, I thought this distinction was best denoted visually in my prose. Critique is welcome. Language Notes Jon is a South African ex-pat. As such he will use some Afrikaans colloquialisms plus a dash of Japanese. Most importantly he says “Ja” meaning “Yes”. Pronounced with a J sound like “yo” and an A sound like “bar”. As in: “Yo, let’s go to the strip bar.” “Ja.” And not the Rastafarian /jya/. Other words: Nee - /niya/ : no Juffrou - /yif-row/ : Miss Lekker - /lacker/ : nice, good, delicious Nooit - /noit/: never The rest is mostly swear words. Indisputably the most useful words in any language and simultaneously holding the least innate meaning. Fok - “fork” without the “r”: fuck Bliksem - /Bluksim/: darn, damn. Also common noun meaning damn person or thing. Donner - “Dorner” without the “r”: originally meaning thunder, can also mean darn or damn. It is often used as a verb meaning: ‘to hit hard’ Kak - /kuck/: shit Voetsek - /foot-sack/: go away

Getting Hard (Journey of a Tank)
Herald Stone always built tank characters in every MMORPG he played. To be immortal—that was his first Goal, a simple childhood dream. However, the turbulent realities of life put an end to his gaming days. Years passed, and Herald Stone, now having attained success and stability, was presented with the opportunity to redeem himself...to fulfill his first Goal. Trivial? Childish? Others might think so. But Herald Stone always fulfilled his Goals—every single one. No matter what. Immortality beckoned in Mother Core Online, and this time Herald Stone would answer. Choosing a long-forgotten race, hidden away in an unknown region, the journey of an immortal tank begins. This is the tale of Herald Stone...getting hard. Schedule: Mon-Wed-Fri-Sat, 10am Central/ 3pm GMT. ~1.8k-2.3k words per chapter. Also published on Scribblehub. My other ongoing story: REND | Royal Road Expect a focus on building a true tank in MMORPGs. Heavy game elements and numbers are present. But actual math will take a backseat to strategies involving skill builds and synergies that steadily become more complex while remaining understandable. The main character is atypical in LitRPGs or web novels as a whole. He might take some getting used to. Character arcs will develop over a long period. What you see now will be different as the main character changes. The start of Getting Hard is slow-paced (more so than others of the genre) and includes world-building and character development before focusing on the LitRPG.
