《delivery girl》Ch.34

Namsoo sat with his back pressed against the wall, his hands trembling and his face was swollen and bruised.
The leader of the group stood over him, an entertained grin on his face as he looked down at the smaller boy's scared expression.
"Hey, should we really make sure he doesn't snitch?" The leader laughed.
"Lol."
"Go for it."
His girlfriend sighed. 'Can't he just let the poor kid go...? He looks like he's about to pee himself.'
"Make sure who doesn't snitch?" A voice asked from the entrance of the alley.
Namsoo perked up, 'Could this be my savior! Get me out of here!'
"Ah, babe! You're just in time." The leader said excitedly, getting up and walking towards the new arrival. One of the goons moved to stand in front of Namsoo, hiding him.
Namsoo still managed to peak through the gap in the big guy's legs.
'(Y-Y/N)?!'
"Don't call me that." She said coldly, swatting away the arm that the leader was trying to put around her shoulders. "Do you have your payment?"
"Ah, always straight to the point with you." The leader sighed, but still showing (Y/N) the wad of money he had taken from Namsoo earlier.
The girl nodded and looked around, making sure but nobody but the small gang's members were present.
Her cold gaze landed on Namsoo and her eyes narrowed, she turned her head to glare at the leader.
"I thought we told you to stop bothering middle schoolers." She scolded.
'I'm not a damn middle schooler!!' Namsoo thought angrily, despite his unfortunate position.
"Ah, I see you've met our new friend."
The guy standing in front of Namsoo stepped out of the way, and recognition flashed through her eyes when she saw his face.
"Hey, little guy. You ever heard of the Cards?"The leader asked, a smug grin coming across his face.
"W-What? No." Namsoo stuttered. 'Oh god... what's going on?'
"Good." (Y/N) interrupted, clearly growing impatient. She took off her backpack so she can dig through it.
"Well, let's just say we have some bad mofos on our side too." The leader smirked.

"You really don't." (Y/N) said from her crouched position. She found what she was looking for and straightened. She snatched the money, all $300, from the leader's hands and shoved it into her bag. In return she tossed him a small brown paper bag which the leader caught with one hand.
The leader grinned, watching (Y/N) put her bag's straps back over shoulders.
"Pleasure doing business with you." He said with a grin.
"Sure." (Y/N) grumbled.
'What's going on here?! Is she... is (Y/N) really..?' He had stopped shaking, and was instead watching the exchange with wide eyes. He gulped when (Y/N)'s eyes landed on him again.
"You." She said, looking directly at him.
Namsoo's eyes darted around, looking for who the intimidating girl was talking to. All of the guys who were big and bad when he first saw them were now nervously averting their eyes.
He looked at the leader's girlfriend for help, but she just gave him a sympathetic look.
"You're coming with me." (Y/N) said.
"M-Me?" Namsoo asked, pointing at himself.
"I don't believe I stuttered. Now come on, I don't have all day." She said, beginning to walk away, not even waiting to see if Namsoo followed. She just expected him to listen to her.
Which he did. Namsoo pulled himself off of the ground with a wince and struggled to follow after (Y/N).
Before he could make it out of the alley, a large hand fell on Namsoo's shoulder. He tensed, thinking they weren't done with him. He nervously looked up to see the biggest guy in the group.
The big guy gave Namsoo's shoulder a squeeze and a tight lipped smile. "Good luck."
Namsoo gulped and nodded before scurrying off in the direction he thought he saw (Y/N) go in.
'What the hell did I get myself into?' He looked down the street, his eyes darting around. 'Where did she go?'
The car parked next to him beeped a couple of times, making him flinch. He stumbled backwards a bit, and the passenger window rolled down and (Y/N) peaked her head out.

"Sorry, He didn't mean to startle you. Hop in the back."
Namsoo wearily eyed the rather dingy looking car.
"Where was this stranger danger energy when you went to meet up with a stranger from online?" (Y/N) asked sarcastically.
"I-I-I-" Namsoo began to stutter, 'How embarrassing?! What did she hear??'
"Jesus Christ! Do you want a ride home or not?" The person sitting in the driver's seat snapped, obviously becoming impatient.
"S-Sorry!" The small boy yelped, quickly moving to get into the car. As he closed the door, he heard a bit of a conversation.
"-pissed in your Cheerios this morning? Chill out." (Y/N) was scolding. The driver only huffed and pouted like a child.
The girl turned around in her seat to look at Namsoo. "Sorry about that, what's your address?" She asked.
"N-Nineteen United Avenue..."
The girl nodded and tapped the address into the touch screen on he dashboard. Namsoo took the time to look around the car.
'For such an ugly outside, it's luxurious inside... like an Audi.' He thought, running his hands over the leather seats and looking at the rather high tech radio up front.
The green haired driver drove off, following the GPS's directions.
"There should be a cooler by your feet with a few ice packs inside.Take one if you'd like." (Y/N) offered while choosing a radio station.
Namsoo nodded despite the girl not being able to see, and looked around. Just like (Y/N) said, there was a small cooler near his feet.
He took an ice pack and pressed it to his cheek. Beside the quiet rap music playing, the car was totally silent.
'Awkward...'
"So, umm... Do you think I can have that money back? It's not mine." Namsoo asked, remembering seeing (Y/N) take it. 'With how kind she's been, I'm sure I have a chance!'
"No, sorry."
Namsoo froze. "W-What? Please? I'll be in big trouble if I go back with no money or shoes." 'Zack is gonna end me!!'
"Listen, we'll be in deep shit if we don't get that money to our boss." The driver said, never taking his eyes off of the road.
"I'll make sure Zack isn't too rough with you." (Y/N) assured.
"Your boss? (Y/N), I thought you were a delivery girl?"
"I am."
"Then where's your uniform? And what were you delivering?" Namsoo pressed. 'Just what the hell is going on here...?
"If I were to tell you, I wouldn't be able to let you leave this car." (Y/N) said, turning in her seat to look at him again.
Namsoo didn't even notice the car stop outside of his house. 'Oh my god... is that a threat? Oh my god... OH MY GOD THAT WAS A THREAT'
"Don't look so tense." The girl said casually. Namsoo was trembling again. He watched as the driver saved his address.
"Just don't mention it and you'll be fine, got it?" She gave him a grin that didn't meet her eyes.
"This is your stop, right?" She asked when she saw that Namsoo hasn't attempted to get out of the car.
"Y-Yeah, Thanks." Namsoo nodded numbly and got out of the car with wobbly legs. He stumbled to his front door, unable to process what had just happened. He only stopped when he heard his name again.
"Hey, Namsoo."
He turned around and saw (Y/N) through the rolled down window. She gave him a smaller, but more genuine smile and waved.
"See you around."
Namsoo nodded and have a shaky smile of his own. "S-Seeya."
The window rolled back up and with that, the car sped off again, and Namsoo was left to his thoughts.

Huo sighed and slumped over a bit when they finally came across a red light. He tilted his head to look at (Y/N), who was slouched in her seat as well, her eyes closed peacefully.
"Hey, how the hell do you manage to get involved with some of the most annoying people I've met?" He asked.
(Y/N) peaked one eye open and side eyed the guy sitting next to her.
"No clue." She sighed.

Gateway
An archaeologist by the name of Søren Quinn wakes up elsewhere after boarding a plane for Iceland. Now he has to come to terms with a significant loss of recent memory and his apparent death and rebirth, provided he can survive the rigors of the Tutorial on Gateway Station and whatever waits for him after the Tutorial. Updates. When I can... sorry. Author's Note. Gateway is a portal/isekai style GameLit novel, but it has two main lead characters and will eventually have a small cast of minor lead characters to support them. There will be small elements of base building / kingdom management added as well over time, but they will not be the focus. Gateway really is a slow burn that takes some time to get going unfortunately, but I hope you find it's worth the wait. Thank you! p.s. Book One is finally done (only needed one more chapter unfortunately...) but I'm off hiatus now and will be starting on Book Two right away!

Reborn in Isekai with Sharingan
I prefer the florid and uncanny Jutsu to plots of Naruto, especially Dōjutsu like Sharingan, which could be said, crazy! As the title said, this is a story about the protagonist reborn in Isekai with the ability of Sharingan. Actually, I have no idea where the storyline development would like to go in advance. Still, I’m sure it’ll be interesting. In addition, this story is original if according to the regulation of fanfiction, or you can say it’s half-original fiction. It’s no characters or background from Naruto but the abilities. Anyway, enjoy!
