《delivery girl》Ch.27

During his shift at the convenience store, all Daniel could think of was how easy it was to make money. Aside from Yui, of course.
His mind was elsewhere as he scanned a bottle of soju for a customer.
"That'll be three dollars. Do you need a bag?" He asked the rather disturbed looking customer.
"Have a good night." He called after the customer.
'The money we made from the livestream today was worth a month's salary here... My mind is disturbed.'
'What should I do with the rest of the money I got from Duke?!'
'First I'll get a gift for my mom! She'd love that! And with the rest... Should I buy something for Yui?'
Before he could get out from behind the counter to browse, the bell rang again, signifying the entrance of another customer.
"Welcome."
(Y/N) waltzed into view, a satisfied expression on her face.
"Hello~"
"(Y/N)! What brings you here?"
She came up to the counter and leaned on it, a smile remaining on her lips. It was... uncharacteristic.
'What has her in such a good mood...?'
"I got out of work early and didn't know what to do with myself." She said with a shrug.
"Why didn't you stay home to relax?"
"I'm not used to having free time at night. I got restless so I decided to go on a walk."
"Ah..."
The two went quiet for a moment, and after a few seconds Daniel heard (Y/N) quietly humming to herself.
Daniel found himself getting lost in his thoughts again.
'Should I ask (Y/N) for girl advice?' He glanced up at her, 'It's not like I have much dignity to lose in this body... And it's not like she'll be suspicious...'

"(Y/N)?"
"Hm?" She looked up at him from where the was comfortably resting against the counter. Daniel felt himself begin to burn up under his gaze.
'This a bit more embarrassing than I originally expected...'
"There's this girl.. and uh, I was gonna buy... gift.. for her."
"Daniel, are you finally going to confess your undying love for me?" She asked, seemingly back to her usual self and using her deadpan voice.
Daniel froze, his face somehow becoming even more red than before. Once he got himself together he began to frantically wave his hands in front of him.
"(Y/N)!! What?! No! I-I mean, you're-"
"I'm joking."
Daniel choked, pausing his meltdown to look at (Y/N). When he saw her mischievous smile, he calmed down, slumping his shoulders and hiding his face.
She let out a short laugh and Daniel groaned.
"You're so mean." He whined. 'Now I'm definitely not buying something for Yui.'
"I suppose."
Daniel sighed and failed to hide a smile. 'It's different when she's like this, but it's... nice to see her smile so much.'
After Daniel had managed to totally cool down his face, (Y/N) had gotten a notification on her phone. She picked it up, unintentionally letting Daniel getting a glimpse of her screen.
🥴💋
is calling...
(Y/N) sighed. "I'll be right back, I gotta take this."
Daniel nodded and watched her walk to the other end of the store, towards the bathrooms.
"What?" She sighed into the phone.
Daniel frowned. 'She seems irritated now.'
Before he could get too worried, another customer entered.
"Welcome!"

8 215Spirits of Eternity(A cultivation story based on spirits)
There are many after Liv, for what she can do. Spirits flock to her and help her, while the rest of the world captures them and uses their power with abandon. Liv set forth to find the truth behind her parents’ death, after their final message. After hearing their voice, Liv was offered a decision. Live safely, or be the best. Just like someone from the past, Liv decided to step towards strength. The magic system in this world is based on a few types of energy: Note(for Songs), Will(for Thought), Mana(for ordinary magic, because I felt like it), what is referred to as 'energy' here(for talking to spirits), and Dominion(for Aura). This is still a work in progress. Any suggestions are welcomed. This and my other work, Monsters as Men, are set in the same world. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

8 93Chronicles of Leofric [Dropped]
DROPPED: This fic is dropped because I am thinking of doing a xianxia in a different style. In the world of Teophire, there are people who pursue the path to immortality and divinity. They try to break the shackles of mortality through various paths of cultivation. Our story follows Leofric Mah Wayne on his path of cultivation.Yeah, I am not very good at summaries. This is a Xianxia fanfic in a fantasy world.Warning: This series is tagged as Mature because it contains crude language and violence..Copyright Notice: Chronicles of Leofric (and all its chapters) by fidelc123 (on royalroadl.com) is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License.http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/
8 170SPECTER
This is a story I wrote when I was fifteen. I'm twenty-two. I decided to post this piece hoping it'll help inspire people to finish their story. The point of a rough draft is to barf words onto the screen. It's not suppose to be pretty. It's suppose to be finished.
