You didn't have time to see the boys' reactions because you dashed away immediately. Right now, your mind was focused on finding Hoskins. You swiftly brushed passed the other tourists as you headed towards his following location. You stopped suddenly when you saw a camera up above. It swayed robotically in your direction and in the other. You needed to get inside without the camera seeing you. Instantly, you dialled up Donnie.
"Hey, Donnie," You answered, "I gotta get inside without that camera watching me."
"I figured that you might." He replied, "Don't worry it'll only take a few seconds."
On the other line, you heard typing noises in the background. You looked up again and then saw the camera freeze on the other side. You quietly went into the lab to find a place to hide. In no time, you saw Hoskins and Dr. Henry Wu arrive inside. Peeking through your hiding spot, you heard Dr. Wu and Hoskins talking.
"Do you have it with you?" Hoskins asked.
"Yes, it's with me." Dr. Wu stated, "I've kept it for years."
Through their conversation, you found out that Dr. Wu has kept some dinosaur DNA from the original park. You watched as Hoskins went onto a computer to log in. Getting out your phone, you quickly snapped a picture.
"This will save lives," Hoskins commented before he and Dr. Wu left. Checking your phone, you observed the photo. There was a blur due to your shaky hand. You internally cursed to yourself. You'd have to ask Donnie to fix this later. For now, you escaped the lab and then notified him that you left.
"There he is!" You heard Gray call. You saw the boys running in your direction.
"Where'd you go?" Zach asked, "One minute you were here and the next you left."

"Uh, I went to the bathroom." You lied.
"Oh, fair enough," Zach said.
"Hey," You stated as your stomach rumbled. "Let's get some food."

"Mom and Dad are getting a divorce," Gray blurted out randomly while frowning. You were on the train as he said that. Zach raised an eyebrow while you blinked in confusion. This was not something you'd expected to hear so suddenly.
"What?" Zach asked, unconvinced. "What are you even talking about?"
"They're getting a divorce," Gray repeated.
"What? No." Zach continued, still confused. "They've always been like that. You haven't been around long enough to notice."
"I googled," Gray explained sadly. "They're getting documents from two separate lawyers."
"So what? My friends' parents are also divorced so--" Zach stopped, realizing Gray was on the verge of tears. He then got slightly annoyed. "Hey, knock it off!"
Gray tried to stop, but the tears kept dribbling down his cheeks. You watched as he began to shiver and sniffle. Immediately, you felt bad for him.
"Gray, these things happen all the time." You started off. "You're not alone on this."
"But, it's my fault." He sobbed, "I just know it is."
"It's not yours or anybody's fault." You explained, "These things happen beyond our control."
Gray nodded at your words despite still being sad.
"Your parents will always love you." You continued, "And they probably won't ever stop."
After that, the conversation went quiet. Gray sighed softly and then stared out the window. You weren't sure if that helped, but you hoped it did.
"Are your parents divorced?" Gray asked quietly. His eyes then widened, regretting his question. "Um, sorry, that was a dumb question!"
"No, they're not." You sighed heavily. "My dad, err, he passed away."
"Oh no." He frowned again while Zach stared at you sympathetically. "I'm sorry."
"It, uh, happened awhile back." You explained, averting your eyes away. You blinked, trying to control your tears. You didn't want to cry, not in front of them or anyone else. As you began regaining yourself, you noticed that you arrived at the restaurant.
"Um," You coughed, "Looks like we're here."

Child of Dusk
Life can be cruel, especially to those who don't fit in. But what would you do if you were given a second chance? Tim was a nobody during his time on Earth. As a penniless orphan with no friends to speak of, life was tough for him in his little Arizona town in the '90s. He'd utterly lost hope for the future until one day, he was reincarnated as Alvanue, beloved daughter and heir to the Starlit Throne of Silthonduen. Now, Alvanue has everything a princess could ever want: a loving family, loyal comrades and an entire kingdom at her finger tips. But what good is a kingdom when there's a whole world of magic and mystery out there to explore? *** Ok! Disclaimer time. I do edit my own work and I do not have a beta reader, so please feel free to point out any errors or plot holes (politely, of course). Each chapter will be around 4,000 to 6,000 words long and while I was posting every day at the beginning, I think I'll cut that down to once a week for now, excluding bonus chapters! I really don't want to get burned out. I started writing this because I love world building, so this is gonna be heavy on lore. If you're not into that, there's still a ton of character progression and action to look forward to! It's going to be slow at the beginning, but I promise it will pick up eventually. Thanks for checking my story out, I appreciate it a lot!

The White Rabbit: Book 2
In the Urillian Empire, the Empress Xandra rules three-quarters of the planet Xren from her home in the capital of the Earth Continent. Both the fire and water peoples have fallen under her might after a series of wars stretching back three centuries. Earth elves, under Xandra's rule, have spread throughout the planet and established colonies, and are, by all accounts, enjoying what seems to be a prosperous and happy existence. But not everyone in Uril is happy. The holy books speak of elves as the Chosen People of Thesis, tasked with guiding and protecting the lower races. For some people, this scripture has been interpreted to designate their life as one on the lowest rungs of society. Humans have been reduced to a slave class, and serve their elven masters under Xandra's rule, kept at bay by the constant fear of the dreaded Emerald Knight, and their own perceived weakness. Humans do not lead long lives, nor do they possess the wisdom, power, or magical acumen of their elven masters. But there is hope. A group of people have banded together to fight against Xandra, her Knight, and her empire. They call themselves the "Knights of Order" united under the principle idea that Xandra's reign has brought chaos unto Xren, and they wish to restore order. These Knights are led by a man named Xaxac Brigaddon, spoken of as a legend. They say that when the moons are full, some humans transform into powerful beasts. They say that Xaxac is the most powerful warrior on Xren, that in his youth he was enslaved and forced to fight other humans to the death in a bloodsport called "cage fighting", that he could not be touched and held the world championship title for three years running until he faked his own death and escaped his master to join the resistance. They say that he has friends in high places- noblemen, pirates, and the devil himself. They say that if you can find him, he can ferry you to freedom in places where the Earth Elves fear to tread. They say that he is immune to magical attack, and his eyes shine like the silver moon. They say that he is descended from Quizlivian Brigaddon, one of the humans who helped the demon Magnus escape a god. They say that if you want to walk the Path of Order, you should follow the White Rabbit.Come and watch the transformation from human boy to Knight of Order: The life and times of Xaxac OfAgalon OfLangil Brigaddon. Content Warning: This work is based on the real experiences of human trafficing survivors. Xaxac's origins are based on true events, and they are presented realisitcally; this includes but is not limited to: isolation, gaslighting, emotional and sexual abuse, and grooming tactics. This work is meant to hold a mirror up to society; it is based on the real of experiences of people who have experienced slavery and/or abuse. It is an adult work and probably should not be read by anyone under the age of 18. If you are a survivor of human trafficing and/or abuse, your feedback is welcome, but please do not read this if you think it may trigger your trauma. I did not write this with the intention of harming anyone, but rather to provide accurate representation for a group that does not normally get it in the hopes of changing the zeitgeist. I would like to see a world where more people understand what these experiences are like, so that real survivors do not have to deal with microagressions from an ignorant public. Reader discretion is advised. This book does not display these elements as heavily as book 1.
