《Inner Demons》One Loyal Friend Is Worth Ten Thousand Relatives

The first thing I noticed was the shattered window shards, the way they glistened and twinkled, thrown like a shower of crystals. The second thing I noticed was a Jounin's mischievous smile melting into a frown, eyes pointing into a familiar direction. The third thing I noticed was Naruto, curled up into a ball, quivering.
My legs pulled me forward, pushing past bewildered students before crouching down next to my trembling friend. His eyes latched onto mine, foggy, watery and laced with trepidation. I resisted the urge to embrace him, knowing his current state wouldn't handle it sufficiently.
"Can I touch you?" My voice remained unwavering, despite the waves that crashed and churned within me. I tried not to let my heart drop at the sight of his frantically shaken head. Instead, I continued to pull through. "Okay, please follow my count with your breathing, you've got this."
I softly counted, willing myself to not let this faux-confidence break, to not let the dam walls break at the sight of seeing my friend in such pain.
Then, Naruto's breathing begins to even. Like a parting of clouds to reveal the awaited sun, I felt the rain within my heart cease to fall. I continued, watching as Naruto's eyes began to clear, watching his trembling return to a steady rise and fall of his chest. His bedazzling cerulean eyes looked up to me, a slight tug on his lips as he whispered, "Thank you TenTen."
I merely smiled back, relieved to see my friends eyes revert to their lazuline tone.
"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!!!" The screech rang throughout their surroundings, resulting in eyes swivelling to gaze at a fuming Sakura.
Author's Note: Sorry for the extremely short chapter, I'll try and write again soon. Also, TenTen is a girlboss and none of you can tell me otherwise (she's f***ing awesome!)

They think that they have nothing to fear. But I'll show them. If they don't fear me, then I will MAKE them fear me! I will change and evolve into their worst fears, destroy them completely, and then become FEAR ITSELF!!--------------------------------------------------------------------------Hey readers, MultiBlitz15 here! I have put the mature tag on due to the blood and gore. NO SEXUAL SCENES WILL BE WRITTEN!! Also, the cover is temporary until I get a better one. This is the story of an overpowered mc who keeps getting more overpowered in order to get revenge on the ones who betrayed him. I try to update this fiction daily, but stuff happens and sometimes I can't upload, so if I stop uploading chapters all of a sudden, it means something in real life came up. I will NOT drop this fiction or put it on a long hiatus, EVER! My breaks will never exceed 7 days, and I don't plan on having breaks longer than 3 days, but again, stuff happens. Also, I update frequently because the chapters I write are REALLY short. If you can bear with these flaws, then thank you, and please enjoy the story!
